From the gameplay in that video it looks like EA is moving in the right direction. The gameplay looks descent. Just some of the animations need work...

IF we were to get a PC version of NBA LIVE, I'd buy it, but we won't... So it's back too 2k for the next 10 years.

That gameplay looks pretty herky jerky and stiff, again.

This mode looks cool and really everything is cleaned up minus a couple herk and jerks here and there, and this will look great once its out

Ygtrece, EA doesn't see the PC side very profitable and risky due to the threat of hackers or pirates. You might as well check out Andrew's PC Rumors page to take a look at a petition we may try

According to the people who've played it at EA Play, it feels pretty good on the sticks.

This looks great, way better than Live 16

The transitions between animations look better.

IMO, the improvements are there, it looks way better than past games. The way players leave the floor and hang in the air is the only stiff movement I see. It looks kinda slow-mo. I am willing to support and buy this game if we get it for the PC.

I wish I had a dollar for every time "herky jerky" and "stiff" gets posted on this.

My first impression was that you guys are smoking crack and that the animations were smooth. smoother than your typical Live game. The animations did remind me of 2k a bit

I can promise that I am not smoking crack... but, you might have $5 to $10 just off of me saying it.

Yeah totally. I am not passing on a game just because the jumps look a little bit slow mo. If this game look as good as we can see in this video, I'm ready to become a Live fanboy, even though I can't touch the game if we get no PC version. Might as well buy myself a console especially for this franchise in a couple of years when the new generation kicks in.

Well hehe

But really I do love the movement, it no longer is Live 16-like anymore

phpBB [video]

Even though the video is low quality, I like the way the game feels with a behind the back camera (almost called it a 2k camera - don't stone me to death).

"Stiff and herky jerky."

Nah... gameplay looks great. Much improved, but I'd love to see how it feels myself. I wish they would bring the game to PC, because that would be the only reason I'd buy it. I'll be trying out the demo on my PS4 though.

It does look more alive, as well as more graphically appealing. I agree with that.

Well the only thing we hope is that they do bring it, and they only talked about the demos on the primary platforms XO or PS4 this August, and maybe also the Switch as well

I've supported EA almost always and really like 16 but the animations have gone backwards.

The body shapes and proportions along with many of those animations in the gameplay video make it look almost like a caricature or comical game.

I'm lost for words. I just don't get how the people in charge have allowed this to happen. There is nothing revolutionary, or compared to 16 even 'evolutionary' sadly.

Sure, it'll have some good things just like 16 did but it's simply not good enough. Those animations are not realistic by any stretch of the imagination and the body proportions just wrong. And as my earlier post mentioned, you've still got some of those ugly dunk and around the hoop animations from like 7 or 8 years ago. Do the big wigs in charge know basketball? Case in point, the way players shot with their wrong hand around the rim in 16, the dunk animations that look like they've been mo-capped on an 8 foot hoop and the around the rim heaves that look like they were mo-capped by a bunch of non-athletes.

Again, just can't express how disappointed that after so long, after so much feedback from loyal fans, we get this.

I'm not sure how you can be disappointed with the strides its taken to become a playable basketball game. Especially when 16 was so broken that all you had to do was run pick and roll then press circle to score 90% of the time.

Because it would take a couple years to rebuild it.

BTW, despite ea play being over, how do we not have more information about the game or gameplay or anything really

I was expecting to hear a little more as well. Still plenty of preview season left, I suppose.
