My goal next year will be to overwrite the euro teams, and have all the default classic teams filled accurately. If this can happen, it can be your one go-to roster as a MAIN roster (Because current teams would also be completely intact).

My Draft Roster will be a must, and hopefully a few single season mods.

I think all of that is reasonable.

My goal would probably be 2 seasons from the 90's (One early 90's, like 91-92, and one later 90's, maybe 96-97), as well as 2 seasons from the 2000's (One for early 2000's, probably 01-02, and one from later, probably 07-08).

In regards to work needed. One of the biggest areas will be Portraits, but I will also need some help with Attributes/Tendencies, as that is far too much work for one person (I did it myself, with a little help from my brother for NBA 2K17 for my 3 rosters, it was brutal). So, help from the community will be needed. I hope PeacemanNOT Is around for some of the art, as well as the other talented modders in the community.

Here is game #2 of my Classic Team League. '92 Celtics vs. '05 Suns. Nash dropped some dimes. Great all around game from Suns and Celtics. Have some nice no-look passes from Larry Legend in this video. Next up are the '86 Hawks!

I do play on almost HOF settings. I have user shot cranked up to 40-45 depending on what they are. Otherwise, that is it. I may adjust these down some if I keep shooting a high %.

My goal is to have Bird be MVP, 2 all-stars, win 6th man of the year, and ROY (Rick Fox). We'll see about the 2 all-stars. Seems like that is always the hardest for me as my 2-4 guys end up with similar stats.

Enjoy!

Funny you mention that, I was really close to putting the 13-14 Spurs in the game. I don't have a court for them, did it change a lot from the actual current Spurs court?

Love seeing McHale a bit in the post, and again Bird with the court vision.

You made a good choice with the Pinckney body type btw.

Tonight I was watching a game between the Bulls and the Celtics in 93-94 (real life game), and Dee Brown went off. He was actually really good. You can find that video on youtube.

I think I could help with that, I'm the stats kind of guy, don't really know much about editing courts and cyberfaces, etc. Back in the day of Sega and NBA Live '97 I used to run manual league with my brother, with handwritten all statistics, we would like pull the averages like once a week and see who the leaders are etc.

In terms of my approach, I like to start with either MyTeam Cards or 2k14 UBR as baseline (I guess some of my knowledge of basketball too) and then simulate and adjust until I'm satisfied. However even if I dedicate a lot of time, I think I need more than a week per team.

Here's something that I've been working on here and there, '96-'97 marred by injuries Celtics squad, it's quite a challenge to create a genuinely badly performing team while maintaining some semi-accurate stats on the players: http://imgur.com/a/0Rity

Of course, I don't consider this complete at all. Primary challenge has been dealing with rebounds, historically the team had 40 rpg that season, and that seems impossible to accomplish at least when running them against the current NBA teams, so players have slightly inflated rebounding numbers overall. Also, I had trouble getting David Wesley to both score, and dish assists, on such a losing team, without making him better than he really was... I guess I need another several hours of work on him to figure it out (originally I had good scoring numbers but low assists, now assists are closer but scoring is down). Either way, I'm not shooting for 100% accuracy here, with so many injuries (Dana Barros and Dee Brown played like 55 games COMBINED) I would actually need to simulate several different rotations many times, for guys like Todd Day who had inflated playtime because others were out (less than 40% FG tells his real story), because even though his averages for example may indicate that he is like 80 overall player, but really this team went 15-67 in the season. Funny story, I think in one game they had assistant coach dress up and be the 10th player because of so many injuries.

I watched every Celtics game during that 15-67 season, every one. I parked my ass in front of the tv with a pad of paper, and wrote down players stats (I usually kept Dino Radja, Dee Brown, and Rick Fox's numbers). It was one of the most exciting seasons for me to watch, because there were a lot of close games that we lost, and it was amazing to watch the players fight so hard to compete. The best fans are the ones who stick around and cheer hardcore for their team, that's been me with the Celtics since I began watching them. I live an hour outside of Boston, so all growing up til now I've been able to watch any game of any season, it's been great.

In regards to rebounding, in general... it seems 2k just can't get it right. I will turn offensive rebounding to 30 and def rebounding to 70, and a team will still compile like 22 offensive rebounds in a game. I can't seem to get it right.

Stildo33,

I converted the 91-92 Celtics court for you (base from URB), it looks really good. The download link is below, just place the F005.iff file in your modded folder.

Jonizo,

I converted the 13-14 court (Credits Iamlillard for the base). Just place the file in your modded folder and it will overwrite the current Spurs Court.

I can help with this too. I am also just a stats guys as well. I would also suggest using the 2k14 UBR as a baseline. That will make things so much easier. Can use modern day players as a template to adjust tendencies in order to get a passing & scoring PG like Barros. I think the challenge in creating a bad team like that 96-97 team was that fact that when Boston had leads, ML would switch to oddball lineups to tank. I read an article where Fox or Barros hit like 3-4 threes on consecutive trips and then he yanked them out and said, "I'm trying something different". So, although that team stunk via record, they could've won 35 games. Just my opinion, but on paper they weren't close to 15-67. I've also debated about re-creating the 2002 team or PP rookie team.

Game 3 of my UBR Classic Teams Myleague. '92 Celtics vs. '86 Hawks. 'Nique opened things up with a spectacular dunk. There is a nice oop from Doc to Nique later in the clip. While struggling early in the 1st, Bird eventually caught a small hot streak and closed an early Hawks lead by the end of the period. Parish would take POG honors with a double-double. Dee Brown had an explosive 2nd quarter off of the bench. McHale closed the 2nd quarter with 4 straight dunks.

Next up, the Celtics travel back to Bird's home state to challenge the 99-00 Indiana Pacers!

Enjoy!

Game 4 of my UBR Classic Teams Myleague. '92 Celtics vs. '00 Pacers. I changed my starting lineup as I am trying to get Bird's rebounding numbers up. So, we started Bagley, Gamble, Lewis, Bird, Parish. This game was close.

The Pacers hit a clutch 3 with 40 seconds to go that cut the Celtics lead down to just 4 (I had left Bird under the basket trying to get rebound #10 - Rose made them pay!). However, they immediately made a defensive error as Dee Brown broke free for a wide open jam against their full court press. Bird dropped a season high of 33, 9 RB, 8 dimes. Lewis added 21. The bench played a huge role in today's win. Brown added 16 and 4 assists, Fox chipped in 16 although he was 2-8 from downtown, and McHale added 10, 4, 4 off the bench.

Next up are the '94 NBA Champion Houston Rockets. This will likely be a tough matchup with Hakeem against a very old Celtics front court. Who will prevail....

Hey,

Probably not, 2k18 is out in a few months, and I will be 100% focused on that. This roster worked out well for 2K17, but I want 2K18 to go even more above and beyond.

Hopefully I will have a team of people on here that will want to work with me.
