Getting an itch to do shoe mods again but I don't think I have the patience to learn extracting and importing the textures.
I miss the good old .iff days.

For any one who requested a non fictional shoe- I will not be completing those requests. My time is very limited and I have intentions on creating more video content after I do more modding research.

maybe if you get time do a video tutorial for editing shoes? mainly need to know how to grab the shoe file, and how you export/import... maybe more people will give shoe editing a try?

to be honest if you want screenshots, you'd be better off making signature nba player shoes, more people will come.

TGsogood, you are doing a great job with these shoes. I am actually working on shoes as well. For the moment i am trying to assign a 3D model to another shoe using the layers that give you the chance to have the team colors. I can have the new 3D model but after that they come out grey. I miss something to get the textures, the layers and the colors... and help ?

Dmayne there were two requests for real shoes here cp3 + penny. Also request for kyrie shoe in my messages.
Outside of NLSC there were many requests for yeezy 350 boost.

Thats 4 total real shoes. I did a yeezy video because that was the least time consuming beacuse it was already hidden in the game.

Shoes can be modded by opening the manifest files to find the shoe file archive location and export the files using 2k17 explorer. Edit the files and place them in modded folder.

Also in the tutorial section of 2k17 forum, I have already created a shoe resource thread listing most of the shoes in game and their associated files. I even describe how the file structure for shoes work.

I wish I could do more to help but honestly I mostly get on NLSC from my phone because I have many obligations. (typing all this from my phone while I'm riding home from my daughter's birthday celebration).

If you have time, just mess around with the files. I suggest making notes also.

I think you have to keep the original.scne file and just import the new .model file into the original .iff file and rename the new .model file to match the old.model file.

I was having issues with that just last week.

TGsoGood, Any chance you would be able to add Lonzo Ball's signature shoe lol Big Baller Brand's ZO2. I know its a gimmick but its culturally relevant.

Everybody's asking me to do a player since day one but when I make one request, nobody shows up

SMH... I said those shoes will be added to the list.
And yes I wanted to to make ZO2 for my personal use regardless of anyone requesting it, same with the Yeezy.

While I understand your frustration , these types of responses are why some modders do not like taking requests.
I don't get paid to do this. It's taken me 2 weeks to finally get a chance to make the video I just made.
I respect you as a modder and fellow community member but I am going to stay away from any conflict and keep this thread on track.
