Long time UBR community... Sad to see this thread/mod has gone quiet... I for one as many of us have been hoping for Hawk23 to return. At this point (almost 2 years since the last update) I think it's safe to say Hawk23 has given this great mod all that he could. I get it, life works like that and having the necessary free time (requires a lot) can get to be impossible. I think I speak for everyone when I say, we salute you and thank you Hawk23 and hope all is well!
Now, no disrespect whatsoever to URB or Meds roster as I use both and love the work they do.

Honestly, those are the only rosters I've used this year. However, UBR also belongs in the same breath with those great mods. In comparison, the level of detail in URB and Meds rosters are unmatched. Updated rosters, menu graphics, gameplay and visually are all IMO superior in those mods for the years they cover. Which brings me to my point... With all of its flaws, UBR is one of kind. The amount of detail and time put into this mod is just as incredible. The base is there, it just needs some polishing up.
To highlight some of the more pressing needs for this mod, an updated roster is number one IMO. The roster hasn't been updated officially in almost 2 years so a lot needs to be done. Rookies, missing players, updated cyberfaces, coaches, arenas, logos and ratings all need to be added/updated. Gameplay can also use a few tweaks as well. As for the retro rosters, more cyberfaces and gameplay tweaks can be added as well, especially for the pre 1985 rosters as mentioned previously by Slimm44.
So what's the point to me highlighting all these things you ask???....
I am here to announce that more than half of that battle has already been taken care of. Yes, you read that correctly... UBR lives!!!
I have updated all the rosters, including all the rookies and missing players up unto and including obscure recent signings such as Patricio Garino (Hide your camera phones). I've created all the necessary slots for such players and those who have new hairstyles so nothing gets overwritten. The only files that will get overwritten with my updates are a few players who Hawk23 included in his last few updates but didn't have accurate cyberfaces such as Jonathan Simmons and Alan Williams for example. I have scoured the internet for the most accurate cyberfaces for said players and put together cyberface packs to go with these rosters. All that is left to be done within my capabilities (I don't have paid RedMC) is updating the player ratings to more accurately reflect real life statistical output which I'm already 1/3'rds done with. My initial release (fingers crossed I get the necessary feedback) will not have the most accurate tendencies possible but will eventually be updated in later releases to have such.
Now for what hasn't been updated... Coaches, arenas, logos, and all-star teams I haven't (can't) and will not touch because I do not want to overwrite any of Hawk23's work.... Unless, if someone who has the paid
version of RedMC and the right keys is willing to work with me to create the new slots that is. Would be as simple as plugging in some PNG numbers from a list I send. An hour tops worth of work. Oh, did I forget to mention, I already have the content for these to be updated but just can't access the tabs in RedMC? Oh yaaah.
Yes people, a revival is that close to becoming reality! With certain permissions, I can have this all released within a few days tops. Feedback is necessary and constructive criticism is only what will be welcomed. My work does incorporate content from a little bit of everyone including Slimm44's rating technique, Mozki's cyberfaces and countless other modders cyberface and art files, so If anyone wishes for me not to include their content in a release, you have my full understanding. My apologies and no disrespect meant. Please keep in mind that many hours have been put into this. This is in no way intended at stealing a mod or stepping on toes. My only hope is to build upon and keep one of the best mods ever regardless of platform alive. I'm also hoping that added traffic to this thread will ultimately lead to more exposure for the Ultimate Base Roster with ALL credit going to Hawk23 and others who give permission to contribute. This also isn't in any way meant to compete with other mods such as URB and Meds rosters. There is no way I can match the countless hours they've poured into their work sans a time machine. Their work is truly remarkable and hopefully I will get to working with them. Not sure anyone will see this anytime soon judging the amount of posts on this thread lately, but screenshots coming tonight...
