Slimm, I tested it on 2 teams of my 95-96 roster and gameplay was better, some sig skills are really messing with gameplay. It's a CPU vs CPU, Bulls vs Warriors. I still messed with other sig skills but limited it only.

Bulls
Jordan - Closer, Heat Retention > burned Warriors defenders from 1st to 4th
Pippen - Floor general, Interceptor > Pip was really good at both ends of the court
Rodman - Tenacious rebounder > 16 rebounds, 7 offensive and even if he does not get it, Rodman is always around the rim to crash the boards
Harper - Active hands
Kukoc - Microwave
Kerr - I removed all sig skills, finally he is shooting more 3s, he drives the lane like crazy before no matter how low DTL tendency is.



Warriors
Hardaway - Ankle-breaker > good match up with Harper's active hands but Harper fouled out, 4 from Tim because Tim keeps on escaping
> Failed to see though some crossover combinations by CPU which I was expecting
Sprewell - One-man fastbreak, Shot creator > draw a lot of fouls from Jordan and Pippen, good shot selections
Mullin - Deadeye > a night to forget, struggled against Pip
Gatling - Scrapper > he had his moments against Rodman, it was a good battle under the boards

The rest of the players do not have any sig skills applied. I'll send screenshots of box score as soon as I got home.

What sliders are you using? I have developed rookie, pro, and all-star settings for CPU vs. CPU matches that I haven't posted yet. I just developed them over the past few weeks.

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

Played it, was really tired so didn't touch much but it was fun nonetheless. Is there ANY way to completely cancel out filler teams? The filler bobcats team acquired AI with the first pick because of how bad they were

Is there a way to skip drafts? Or is this just tough luck? It's one of the reasons why I did Assoc with rosters only with 30 teams

I'll assign just one or two sig skills on players, pick the best that applies. If only it's not tedious editing vids of the game then time consuming in uploading it.

Does 2004 (or whenever the Bobcats team was added) onward work on MyCareer? Sko will kill me for this question haha but I'm just curious since it's not "missing" any teams. Thanks.

in assoc mode open file after draft with "NBA 2K13 Roster Editor".
then put the players that have been drafted by filler teams in to correct NBA teams manually.
if it's just one or two filler teams in asso. mode, it takes just one or two minutes to correct it.

Not sure. If it wouldn't conflict with anything else, I don't see why not. I found a way to get season specific information much quicker than I could before and for the first time ever I have help with ratings and tendencies.

May I also suggest that Total control sum be looked at as well as I find when I play my associations having the scoring options setup along with team philosophies has a profound effect on sum stats especially for rosters 1980 and onward. Before 1980 it still impacts and helps but because of no 3 or shots u lose a little scoring but no biggie. I still see 100 plus point games simulated without much 3pt shooting

Absolutely ill share. Its like this!!! For any roster you have just take the top 3 scorers for the year and put them as your 1 2 and 3 options and those palyers are generally featured more in sim stat scoring performance as you will see a slight difference in their ppgs. Also ill add overall team ppg rebs asst etc etc can be affected by adjusting shot selection ,offensive focus , offensive rebounding,defensive pressure, defensive style and defensive rebounding which ae all options in total sim control and I would curtail them based on offensive stats provided by bball reference. com. For example take any roster u have right now and do this test. Just simply change shot selection to RUN N GUN and defensive pressure to SAG OFF BALL and u will see an immediate increase in ppg and fg percentage for all teams if you simulate 1 year as compared to simulating same roster without touching this. Also im not sure if your aware of this but coaching ability affects TEAM OVERALL RATING and also editing chemistry and rivals in reditor does affect and add a lot of realism. The way I would suggest implementing this if u wanted to being that for current year roster for example has 30 teams and when it comes to rating a coaches offensive attribute you have 5 choices A B C D and F respectively. so the 1st 6 teams that have the highest ppg in the league their coach would receive an A in offense then teams 7 thru 12 would receive a B etc etc. You would follow suit with the defensive ratings as well as this makes HUGE DIFFRENCE IN ASSOCIATION and exhibition games as well I think its worth you guys looking into as I can tell you how much fun ive had reliving the lakers Celtics 80s rivalry Celtics sixers 80s rivalry bulls pistons 80s 90s rivalry and bulls knicks 90s rivalry with these type of edits as ITS AMPED UP

That sounds GREAT! Do you have the ability to edit those fields in REDmc? If so, I will work on putting the information needed into a spreadsheet so all you would have to do is copy and paste the information into a roster file. I need to email Vlad to get the options I've paid for activated (I haven't since I got a new laptop) but I don't think I had access to what you're talking about, regardless. What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

May I also suggest that Total control sum be looked at as well as I find when I play my associations having the scoring options setup along with team philosophies has a profound effect on sum stats especially for rosters 1980 and onward. Before 1980 it still impacts and helps but because of no 3 or shots u lose a little scoring but no biggie. I still see 100 plus point games simulated without much 3pt shooting

Absolutely ill share. Its like this!!! For any roster you have just take the top 3 scorers for the year and put them as your 1 2 and 3 options and those palyers are generally featured more in sim stat scoring performance as you will see a slight difference in their ppgs. Also ill add overall team ppg rebs asst etc etc can be affected by adjusting shot selection ,offensive focus , offensive rebounding,defensive pressure, defensive style and defensive rebounding which ae all options in total sim control and I would curtail them based on offensive stats provided by bball reference. com. For example take any roster u have right now and do this test. Just simply change shot selection to RUN N GUN and defensive pressure to SAG OFF BALL and u will see an immediate increase in ppg and fg percentage for all teams if you simulate 1 year as compared to simulating same roster without touching this. Also im not sure if your aware of this but coaching ability affects TEAM OVERALL RATING and also editing chemistry and rivals in reditor does affect and add a lot of realism. The way I would suggest implementing this if u wanted to being that for current year roster for example has 30 teams and when it comes to rating a coaches offensive attribute you have 5 choices A B C D and F respectively. so the 1st 6 teams that have the highest ppg in the league their coach would receive an A in offense then teams 7 thru 12 would receive a B etc etc. You would follow suit with the defensive ratings as well as this makes HUGE DIFFRENCE IN ASSOCIATION and exhibition games as well I think its worth you guys looking into as I can tell you how much fun ive had reliving the lakers Celtics 80s rivalry Celtics sixers 80s rivalry bulls pistons 80s 90s rivalry and bulls knicks 90s rivalry with these type of edits as ITS AMPED UP


That sounds GREAT! Do you have the ability to edit those fields in REDmc? If so, I will work on putting the information needed into a spreadsheet so all you would have to do is copy and paste the information into a roster file. I need to email Vlad to get the options I've paid for activated (I haven't since I got a new laptop) but I don't think I had access to what you're talking about, regardless. the fields are under the staff tab and the team tab. as far as copy and paste I cant promise as I don't have as much free time as I once did back in ubr days though I still try to dabble from time to time. the most I can do at this time is consult just like I did here

I'm getting a crash when I star the game, after the date screen, after I Press start. It crash to desktop. Im not sure whats going on! I even tried taking a working folder of the game, and redownloading URB, and putting the files into there. Still crashing.

Wait is this the last season URB will be updated? :shock:

If so, I just wanna thank you guys for the massive amounts of content yall put out for the community within these rosters because this game will always have replay value with mods like this (Y)
