...and of course we lose to the Knicks. Any surprises? I swear if our schedule only had "big" games lined up we'd be the top seed or something :facepalm2:

You know, that can't be the first time I've referenced that scene in regards to the Bulls giving us false hope amidst mediocrity and disappointment. That's disheartening, in and of itself.

That is why I had given up on believing in the Bulls' manufactured false hope as long as GarPax is still there along with Hoiberg

Thing is, they'll need to lose their last four while the Pacers and Heat will have to win three of their last four, for them to be knocked out of the Playoffs. So as it stands, there's a very good chance that they'll make it to the postseason, if only on a tiebreaker. Again, mixed feelings about that.

Of course, even if they miss the Playoffs, they're likely not going to have any luck in the lottery, and there's no guarantee GarPax would feel the blade, either. That leaves us to ponder which is the more likely silver lining: making the Playoffs and taking a game or two helps lure a quality free agent, or missing the Playoffs results in GarPax being fired. Somehow, I think it'll be the third option: mediocrity continues to reign.

Keep that close by, Andrew

To add- the Bulls have a very easy schedule if we're talking about a normal team

Gar is coming back. Pax already confirmed it (damnit)

Team headbands for everyone... around the neck

Anyone else for Wade to come off the bench? Seems to me its not a coincidence Niko found his mojo when Wade got hurt

I could see Hoiberg giving it a try, at least for a couple of games to see if it'll work (and how Wade will respond to it).

They're on the brink again. Really depends on how Miami finishes now.

Omg. Where are the angry dad memes?

At home vs magic and nets

Miami has the wiz and cavs

I'm pretty sure the cavs don't want to see the heat in the first round so maybe they play that one legitly

At this point I'm rooting for the bulls to get in. Such a wasted season if they get the 9th seed

As always, it's a tough position to be in. Slim chance of getting a top three pick vs. a token Playoff appearance.

But yeah, I'd prefer they make it too. Some semblance of an achievement amid a disappointing and frustrating season.

That will do lol

This could be perhaps the most frustrating season for me

Yet still they control their fate. They hold the tie breaker over the heat. They have no business making the postseason if they lose to both the magic and nets at home

It's getting harder and harder to pick the most frustrating season for me. This year is definitely a contender, no question.

But hey, if they can beat the good teams and only lose to bad ones, then I guess they're sweeping their way through to championship number seven, all from the eighth seed. Lots of nationally televised games in the Playoffs!

I think the Rose situation last was year was the ring leader. Him breaking his face in the preseason. Then this business of him saying his crap play was part of the plan and he was on schedule. Just the indifferent play was so nauseating

But this year as a team it takes the cake. You have the veterans calling out the young guys and getting fined. Rondo defending the young guys . Management staying on the fence with the direction of the team. The stupid OKC trade. Yeesh

But yes. Win and they're in. Don't hold your breath

2008 was pretty disappointing as well, the big step backwards after a few years of steadily improving and at least seeming relevant. At least they got rid of Ben Wallace, but then he started playing well, suggesting that he just wasn't trying very hard in Chicago, underscoring how much of a disaster the signing had been in the first place. Of course, at least they got the number one pick and Derrick Rose out of it, which led to some better times (obviously peaking in 2011).

Nets are sitting six players as well. Cynically, I can't help but think they'll find a way to blow it regardless. Still, go Bulls! Get something out of this season.

I might actually watch them (only watched a handful of games this year due to my boycott) just to be disappointed once again, why not.

You know this puts Forman on cloud nine. A playoff appearance is a finals trophy for him as far as he's concerned

The celtics and their fans should send him chocolate and flowers. If the the bulls had taj for the series, they would be the favorite in the series

lol not one of the players from the OKC trade is even in the rotation. Thanks, gar!
