I'm assumed you couldn't edit pants colours since you ignored my PM. So I investigated more into it and it looks like all the warmups share the same pants texture. The colour is locked somewhere and I have no idea how to change it. Probably somewhere in the games memory, which I probably can't change since the SYNC.bin fucked us over.

BTW, to change a iff file that a team uses you're going to need to get into the Team block.

You can do this by finding a team name address, and the right clicking it and press "Browse this Memory Region". Then you can find the f000.iff and change it to whatever you want.

If i had more motivation and free time to strictly focus on modding without my responsibilities I would keep looking for ways to mod this game.Modding and roster making has been more fun than playing the game for me.

Right now it takes too long for me to keep testing mod ideas and failing with no success.

Gregkwaste's Explorer tool, 7zip tool, and hex editors is mostly all I have been using.

To be honest knowing all I know now, I think it would be better for me to mod 2k16. Seems like that game has more possibilities for what I want to do.
Also 2K16 was less taxing graphically on people's pc. I had to upgrade graphics card for 2k17.

*Edit, I went back to 2k16 and I think the tools we have for 2K17 are much better.
So I definitely will not be going back to that game.

Other than roster editing, 2K17 modding is already pretty much like 2K14. There are added restrictions here and there, but that's it. And yes, there are still globals.

Roster editing and the fact that we have a much smaller modding community than in previous years is what's 2K17's problem. Other than that we can do a lot, if not more with the custom body models.

I'm planning to join the modding community. Don't judge me but I have a hand in modding with the sims. Like making new meshes or converting them aswell and Textures. But as of right now I'm waiting to get my new pc and 2k17 which is still $60 on steam(Can u believe that? lol)

Mod allows you to have 90s style shorts for all current teams and the jersey design feature in MyLeague and MyGM will also use these shorts.

This is great for retro rosters/ retro MyLeague saves.

No. I renamed the retro shorts file to shorts.iff and it changes all long shorts to 90s style.

I did not try to rename the classic shorts file to shorts.iff. Not sure it will work for those.

I posted this in a different thread but here are other things I have been working on.

Tried creating new archives myself so I could create and use new cf ids, floor ids, and arena ids. Also would allow me to use files without using modded folder like in 2K14.

I feel like I am close but I don't know what compression method is used for the archives themselves.

Also working on mod that allows me to play park with just the cpu and all cpu players would wear street clothes. This mod is already under way. I figured out how to do it.
I even figured out how to get the females to play with thier real body models and female casual clothes. Its a lot of work tho.

Lastly, still trying to figure out how to replace all players with mascots.

Adding new archives isn't going to be possible. I can tell you that right now. You'd have more luck getting new files to pull from the modded folder.

I too thought this was the case, so as my back up plan I have also been trying to use the empty archives to add new files.
I only had one full day to try to take a crack at the empty (or almost empty) archives. Still the issue that gets me is figuring out the compression of the archives.

You will have to watch/ read tutorials for cheat engine in general to learn how to use it. I'm not really good at explaining cheat engine. I know just enough to get what I need done.

The second pair are over kill but I like the pair w/ the purple.

This mod uses the shoe editor. Basicly you design a shoe and then you can swap out the 3d model to use a scanned shoe. This gives the shoe a different look.

This is for people who create shoes.
I have 2 other shoe mods that will do different things as well.

It would take a while to explain. I will try to put a mod together for release by next weekend (possibly sooner).
I have a few mods I need to release but right now I'm really just trying to push this game to the max modding capabilities.

I have confirmed that we can now do all of the following:
swap created shoe models in the shoe editor to use scanned 3d models
convert all old gen 2k14 shoes (team colorways are a slight issue)
use park clothes in offline game modes (play in hoodies, shirts, and jackets)
Swap 'Design Arena' files (use HS gym, Pro am gym, college gyms when creating arena in MyLeague/MyGM)
Use female models without glitches/ use female clothing
Use 90's style shorts for all teams
Use PC images for jersey designs for offline users (no need to download images from 2K)
Use PC images for 'Design Arena ' for offline users (create complete courts for MyLeague/ MyGM w/o downloading and no restrictions)
Use PC images for MyLeague/ MyGM Logo branding without downloading from 2K (for offline users)
I also figured out a method to easily convert 2K14 jersey (will have to look at my notes haven't used this in months)

... probably figured out more that I can't remember. We really are only missing a proper roster editor. It seems everything else graphically can be modded

So you know when they show the team stats at halftime? They have the team logos on the right and left.

I can't find those logos, they are not with the regular logo bundles in OC.

Can anyone locate these for me? I've changed all the other ones.

These are 3d logos. I don't know where they are but it means a lot of work on blender to change them.

Ok they are in OC under 3dlogos.iff

They are all in this file, just for the current teams and the precreated teams. The weird thing is that i can't open any of them with blender. They are all .scne...
