Is smartcast part of simulation? Do points of emphasis apply to Simcast?

Steamdb has been updated. A new patch is on the way.
Wed Nov 16, 2016 9:51 pm
Nothing mentioned on the official Twitter yet. Perhaps some PC-specific fixes, or more info is forthcoming.

I think the game is updated, i saw some shoes are added like Pippen's Nike air more uptempo and air jordan 28
Sat Nov 19, 2016 2:40 am
Those come through the in-game updates, not a patch.

That's something different again, not Patch 1.06.
Sat Nov 19, 2016 9:06 am
That's why these games barely progress over the years. It's an NBA game, there is no need for BS like DJ's, street courts, rpg story modes and all the fluff.

Ronnie2k on Twitter confirm new patch (1.06) for next week....
Sun Nov 20, 2016 1:33 pm
I really wish they would stop patching the game.... the game is really good as it is. It gets old when they keep doing patches over and over again and people keep talking about how the patches broke the game, or how now they have issues they didn't before.
Mike Wang, leave it alone.... please..

Not to mention those of us with crappy internet who have to spend several hours downloading 7GB patches every time.
I appreciate them wanting to improve the game, but that part of it is annoying.

Patch 1.06 is coming through now on PS4.
Tue Nov 22, 2016 3:44 pm
So something strange happened. Normally after we input music using 2k explorer, the music stays in the game until a patch goes through, when the patch goes through, the game will turn white when you click the .exe, and you have to verify your game cache.
This time, I looked at Steam and it said it installed a 4.7gb file. I turned on the game and my music was gone, I didn't have to verify the game cache, Steam did it automatically?
So did I get the PC patch or not? Can anybody confirm if they got it?

You can easily check yourself to see if you got the patch. Just look at the archives modified date.

The date modified as 11/22 at 12:35am are on the following files:
0a
0c
0d
2z
Manifest
NBA 2k17.exe
OC contains music. So that makes sense, and I'm guessing if those other files were updated it had to be te patch?
Tue Nov 22, 2016 3:56 pm
Of course. And 0C wasn't updated in the patch so it must have verified your cache.

Okay perfect, I'll relax. Glad the patch didn't ruin the game.
Thanks TBM.

Steam patch available.
GENERAL
The Hornets will now have their correct court projection during the pre-game presentation.
Fixed an indefinite simulating screen that would occur when your MyPLAYER retired after the completion of his 20-year MyCAREER.
Fixed a hang that would occur in MyGM/MyLEAGUE when attempting to enter the Staff Signing experience when the team had no Assistant Coach (retired) and an expired Head Coach.
Addressed an issue in MyGM/MyLEAGUE where a league filled with Classic and Euroleague teams would sometimes hang late in the season when simulating.
Fixed a MyTEAM Challenge case where the in-game overlay would claim the challenge was not successfully completed when it actually was.
Addressed a case where a MyTEAM card that was sent to the Auction House could still appear in lineup menu as being available (when it actually wasn’t).
GAMEPLAY
Fixed an issue where pass icons were not appearing for users playing in 4K on the PS4 Pro.
Removed some long, drawn out dribble loss (pickup) animations from the body up system to improve responsiveness.
Made some aggressive bump back dribble collisions MyPARK only.
Prevent defenders from being able to steal the ball from an inbounder immediately after checking it in when playing in MyPARK.
Make sure all players are in position before checking the ball when playing half-court games in MyPARK.
Sped up the CPU’s ability to get into its offensive sets and run plays.
Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause CPU-controlled ball handlers to run out of bounds when attacking the baseline.
Cleaned up an issue that lead to unrealistic speed bursts in some size-up escape and combo moves.
Fixed a case that caused the wrong dribble move to queue up when attempting to perform driving combo moves (e.g. double crossover).
Updated Broadcast Stadium cameras for Bucks, Mavericks, Kings, and Clippers.
Beluba camera updated to zoom out more in transition and to have a wider range of zoom and height adjustment settings.
MyPARK/2K PRO-AM
A number of performance improvements to solidify the Pro-Am experience.
Fixed an issue that would cause some users to hang when attempting to hop from one park to another.
Users can now unequip the skateboard and mascot outfits from their MyPLAYER.
Many other small bug fixes and adjustments were also made, game-wide.
NOTE: All patch fixes will work in your existing game mode saves unless noted otherwise

I've updated the first post with the patch notes and release date.
Wed Nov 23, 2016 12:59 am
Did it finally fix the injury bug in MyGM?
Wed Nov 23, 2016 1:32 am
No mention if they fixed the 3 seconds in the lane violation, as soon as you pass the ball to the post.

Patch was 135.9 MB on Steam - this is actually kinda embarrassing for Sony, especially since you don't have to have crappy internet connection to spend several hours downloading few gigabytes. This is one of the features I think they really have to start working on, along with ability to change PSN alias.
Wed Nov 23, 2016 8:29 am
It's certainly puzzling, as there obviously isn't 7 GB of new content coming through each time. Whoever's end it's at - Sony's or Visual Concepts' - something about the process isn't as efficient as it needs to be.
Wed Nov 23, 2016 11:30 am
Maybe they should decompress the files into a thousand files like back in old gen NBA 2k, this 0A 0B files is just too big.
Even editing the jukebox takes more effort than before.
Wed Nov 23, 2016 5:49 pm
Are you guys sure the PS4 version is actually downloading 7gb?
My experience with PS4 patches (not 2K specifically) is that they will list the full file size that gets changed but only download the new files necessary to apply the changes.
So it might say 7gb but it will already have (and you'll see the progress bar fill quickly) most of that and only download for example the 130mb it needs.
