I actually agree haha.
Anyone else hoping they just roll with taj and Niko for their frontcourt?
Free felecio! If portis doesn't "get it", give the the Brazilian all the minutes he can handle

Surely there'll be some minutes for him in the middle now, if nothing else.

good point here. sounds like a subtle jab at the rest of reserve pg's ability to run an offense.
while i was happy with the Lopez acquisition, he is still a slow. quicker than Pau Pow but the team is still stuck with their center zoning in the middle on defense/pick and rolls. Portis is active but still learning. Felecio looks like he can be that guy that can rotate out and still be a rim protector.

I am OK with the idea of experimenting Valentine at pg. Both our reserve PGs are utterly unplayable and worst tier boys in man's league. They will always be the loophole in any rotation. Might as well try to figure out best 5 rotations with no positional bias. Skills of Wade and Butler neutralizes needs of great PG anyways and you probably want at least one of them on the floor at all times.

Would it be bad just to have Canaan take all the reserve guard minutes? He is the best shooter and can run pick and roll. Haven't checked his spot up % vs off the dribble though

Sadly, it seems that's the best option since Grant and Dinwiddie is unreliable... I can agree now on putting Felicio on the PF/C back-up spot as well.
I don't buy it... He's just saying that to hide his face for spying on the Bulls' FA plans for Pat Riley. He should be instead starting persuading Bosh to sue the Heat so that he can join him for the minimum.

Dwinddle any good? I've only seen highlights of his individual play and him roasting DRose last year....
Do Taj for a wing? Yearly trade for Ross speculation to resume?
Wade has a future in politics

Dimwittle is alright I can't believe my eyes when I saw him guard Paul George it seems that he's just as big as him. Very good penetrator and he can shoot as well. Although he plays more like a SG (a score-first guy that is) from what I've seen of him in the past games... They need Taj more than ever now since they don't have any good bigmen defenders besides Lopez. Perhaps wait till the trade deadline you'll never know perhaps somebody will roll the dice and will exchange a decent role player or a draft pick for him. Toronto doesn't need him anymore after acquiring Sullinger.
Sat Oct 15, 2016 4:32 am
K fair enough. Only highlights I see is him creating his own shots
If you're on the Felecio bandwagon, doesn't it make Taj expendable? Open up minutes for both him and Portis while filling a need on the wing (assuming they find a deal).
I can't believe Sullinger is a starting PF in the nba

Certainly plausible.

If we're talking about being expendable, it should be Mirotic. The guy haven't shown any progress in 3 years... Same can be said for McBuckets...
Sat Oct 15, 2016 10:54 am
I do agree with inconsistency but this team has no stretch 4 without Niko. And if you get rid of McBuckets too, you may as get rid of the 3pt line
Sat Oct 15, 2016 11:41 am
So exchange him for a stretch 4 also like Josh Smith... Kidding aside, Patrick Patterson would be nice also isn't Motiejunas still available? That Zipser guy is an interesting wing option why not just give some playing time on him and see what happens next.
Sat Oct 15, 2016 7:30 pm
After watching the Bulls this preseason I think the guy to think about getting rid of is Niko, I know he spreads the floor but the only way the defence stays with him is if he's knocking down shots which he isn't really doing on a consistent basis why his D is pretty poor too.
Sun Oct 16, 2016 1:47 am
i would be open to trading Niko if this roster wasn't devoid of 3pt shooting and a modern perimeter skilled PF. 39 3pt% is pretty damn good. his bad defense is a tad exaggerated and will be even be criticized more with Wade & Rondo on the perimeter. he's playing for a contact so let's see what he can do. as i mentioned earlier, i would like to see him and Taj getting some time together.
Taj is also in a contract year too but i don't see him being part of the bulls long term. he's 31 and will be looking for a big pay day. it wouldn't make sense to invest a lot of cap in both Gibson & RoLo frontcourt. With Portis and now Felecio showing some promise, it's time to part ways with the last holdover from the Thibs era (and of course i say this the nite after Taj destroyed the cavs backups).
Sun Oct 16, 2016 8:32 am
I like Niko's skillset, but I'm open to the idea of them trading him. I agree that they need to replace his three-point shooting if they do, though. I don't think he's a bad player or anything, but I'd have to say I'm a bit disappointed/underwhelmed so far. I think he might have been a bit overhyped coming into the league, so my expectations were too high.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/1780 ... nell-tradeThe Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls are nearing agreement on a trade to swap guard Michael Carter-Williams for swingman Tony Snell, according to league sources.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Bucks, who have been openly looking for more shooting and defense on the perimeter in the wake of a long-term injury suffered by starter Khris Middleton just days before the start of training camp, have targeted Snell to give them some much-needed help on the wing.
Another point guard... Although 3 of them are combo guards so perhaps they'll play them some wingmen time. MCW's injury prone and he can't shoot but it's just Tony Snell so I reckon this one's alright. Another piece to dangle on the trade deadline.
Sun Oct 16, 2016 4:47 pm
We could get a lot worse than Carter-Williams for Tony Snell so I reckon it's a good deal there, expiring if he doesn't pan out. Not like we are going anywhere this season so yeah, low risk high (?) reward.
Worst case scenario this is still addition by subtraction. Bye bye Snell you won't be missed.
Sun Oct 16, 2016 6:38 pm
It's hard to get too excited about MCW, but he's probably shown more promise than Snell ever has. It's very much a "let's swap our spare parts and see if it works out" kind of trade, but I'm OK with that. It won't be a great loss even if MCW doesn't pan out at all; even if Snell makes something of himself, I don't think it's going to happen while he's in Chicago, so I'd say he's very much expendable to take a chance on someone else.
Mon Oct 17, 2016 4:30 am
If I was a Bulls fan I'd be happy right now, MCW for Snell is a steal.
I know the Bulls are stacked at the guard position but I think Carter - Williams is better Spencer or even Grant at this point, he might not shoot to well but we all know at 6.7 he's long and can rebound well too for his position. At least now you have some trade package options in case it doesn't work out with the roster you have now.

kudos to GarPax. this has been their most active offseason. yet another guard who can't shoot but i'll remain positive and be happy the Bulls finally have a PG who can defend.
snell was hot garbage. adios!

So, sounds like it's official. No complaints, let's see how it works out.
Fri Oct 21, 2016 1:48 pm
Looks like taj earned the starting pf spot. How about that. Take that 3pt shooting and spacing
Fri Oct 21, 2016 8:48 pm
So apparently Wade just ended pre-season with 43.7% from 3pt line.
