Hi everyone.
i have a serious problem trying to change joypad controls in 2k17 (i use 2 PS2 controller with usb adapter on my desktop pc, it worked fine with 2k15 and 2k16, never had this issue).
the game recognize my joypad (twin usb joystick) but when i try to change controls i cannot do anything (kind of freezing??), i cannot move in the section, neither go back, so i must close the game everytime.
i've tried the play now mode and the game starts normally, but it seems i cannot move or doing anything with my players. The game run ok, no graphics problem or whatever
i hope someone can help, i'm going mad with that, and sorry for my bad english

Honestly, for those of you looking to play on PC with a gamepad... I love the cheap USB XBOX360 Rock Candy controllers (Can pick one up for around $20, sometimes less). It's plug and play, they work with every game I have. No mapping or anything else needed.

or try some tools like motionjoy or some equivalent (I'm using motionjoy drivers with BetterDS3 tool). with this tools the games "thinking" that you are using X-Box's controller and almost all games runs perfectly without any additional settings

Also can confirm that the game works out of box with both Xbox One and PS4 controllers (Windows 10). Even switches icons mid-game.

One question regarding PS4 controller. Does it works out of box and how it connecting to the PC - some special Wi-Fi\BT dongle or with standard Wi-Fi\BT connection?

I use USB cable.
I connected the PS4 controller mid-game and it picked it up immediately. The controller never been connected to the PC before, no 3rd party software, nothing.

And what about wireless connection? Does it works without any additional software like DS4Windows and so on (if it recognised by Win10 being cabled then there are DS4 drivers in the OS)?

I have no idea about wireless... I know Sony released some kind of official wireless dongle this month, but beyond that I have no clue.

X-Box wireless controllers work like a charm.

click start, on search program and files type %appdata%. Now open roaming folder/ open your nba 2k16 folder if you have.. copy controller folder and paste it to nba2k17 folder...DONE
Note: you cannot edit controller setting in 2K17 it freeze ...
to make a change to your controller settings do it to your nba2k16 games and save it .
copy paste it again to 2k17 folder

Do you have an XBOX 360 controller or PS3 controller? Just plug those in USB and you are good to go. No configuring or other programs required.
