SG to post up?

Tue Jan 07, 2003 6:41 pm

Is there a play that will make the shooting guard post up? I basically want to be able to throw ally-oop passes with the point guard to the shooting guard, but the SG usually just hovers around the 3-pt line.

Also, when on a 2 on 1 fast break, is there a way to make the man without the ball keep rushing towards the basket? It's annoying when I get on a fast break and my teammate just stops running at the 3-pt line.

Thanks

hehe,

the easiest way to put your SG on a post situation is to put him on the PF or C position.
another way is to have a look in your playbook.

the easiest way on a 2-1 fastbreak is it fill your lanes. Spread the distance between you and your teammate and the CPU will run to you. your teammate will automatically cuts to the basket, if you pass to him.

if you let your SG or SF brings the ball in fastbreak, your PG usually stops at the 3 Ptline. So dish the ball with an outlet after a rebound to your pg and run your fastbreak. 8)

alley-oops are easy

just run towards the SG or any other position, and the'll start running away from you, keep doing that till they get in the corner, then go to them and they'll run throught the baseline under the basket and throw the alley-op. that's how i throw alley-ops to SG and SF's. C and PF just post up and run to them, they'll eventually, get inside the key and throw the ball.

if you are on a 2-on-1 fast break, stay on the opposite side of your teamate and when he is near the basket, just press pass and sometimes, it automatically turns into an alley-op
