off. rebounds belongs to CPU as well as steals.
in Hall of Fame level the CPU has a lot of steals and off. rebounds to make the game tough.
it's not possible to fix that.

Have you tried lowering the sliders so you neutralize the boosts the CPU gets on levels above Pro? Here are the values if you haven't tried it. This was originally posted by savantopus on Operation Sports:

What's up everyone, here are the exact rating changes that 2K makes whenever you change the difficulty so that you can adjust the sliders to counter the CPU cheese and have a more balanced game. Sneaky 2K makes some changes you may not expect...

The number given after the attribute is how many slider points you must add to or subtract from the CPU to make the players balanced. IF there is a + before the number it means you add to the CPU slider, a - means you subtract from CPU slider.


PRO:
Def and Off Awareness +2
Hands +2
Ball Security +2
Def and Off Rebounds +2
All other Attributes +1 (except for steal, pass, stamina, durability, fatigue, consistency)


ALL STAR:
Def and Off Awareness -10
Hands -7
Ball Security -7 (tricky because you can only change this through the Ball Handling slider which changes 3 different attribues, Ball Security, Off-hand dribbling and Ball Handling... I use Roster Editor by LEFTOS to change this independently)
All other attributes -3 (except for stamina, durability, fatigue, consistency)
Offensive scoring sliders +4. Yes, add 4 to the CPU scoring sliders to get a shooting percentage balance. Inside scoring, close, mid, 3pt. Offensive scoring slider is subjective and based on my personal playing experience.

SUPERSTAR:
Def and Off Awareness -17
Hands -14
Ball Security -14 (tricky because you can only change this through the Ball Handling slider which changes 3 different attribues, Ball Security, Off-hand dribbling and Ball Handling... I use Roster Editor by LEFTOS to change this independently)

I like thsoe a lot but still get killed by offensive rebounds and only grab like 5 off rebounds myself.

Tweak them a little until they feel good to you. Maybe try raising User off reb by 3 and lowering CPU off reb by 3 and go from there.

Hi guys, I´m the new guy here.

First of all, i wanna give a big thanks to skoadam for making this great mod for NBA 2k13. It's by far my favorite NBA 2K serial, i have others to, but the gameplay is for me quite bit unplayable and unrealistic, in some kind of ways hard to play.

I'm looking excited for upcoming updates, and of course assoc files for this new season. When can we expect these one?

Question for skoadam:
I'm wondering if's there a possibilities that you make National Teams for this URB mode. I would like to play with Bosnia (my homecountry) or with Germany, and this new USA team. I know there is FIBA 2K mode, but I think its not compatible to play with your URB mod and there is not some countrys that I would love to play with.
There is FIBA mode for 2K14 which is something that I've been looking for.

Can you just translate that to NBA 2K13, and make it compatible with URB mod?

I know you asked Sko, but I prefer 13 because...

1. Freelance offense. Isolation, post ups, and PNR happen in freelance. In 14, the cpu offense is TURRIBLE if the play breaks down because only post ups can occur in freelance (and they are rare).

2. 13 has MANY more working plays. No plays work in 14 where the first pass is an entry pass to the high post which ruins Horns plays.

3. 13 takes advantage of mismatches in the freelance situations.

4. In 13, the mid range game is much more active.

5. In 13, the cpu offense is generally more aggressive imo.

Also...

6. Defenders play closer on-ball defense on 2k13.

7. There are several sig skills on 14 that ruin gameplay. SEVERAL. This doesn't happen on 13.

8. Dribble moves and momentum shots are more organic and happen more often in 13 than 14.

9. Posting players with possession of the ball don't pass out as frequently on 13 as they do on 14.

10. CPU players make better decisions (especially in post plays and isolation plays) in 13 than in 14.

btw. after last updates imo, 2k13 changed a lot, 2k13 cpu offensive game is much more agressive, attack the basket is much better, pressure on defense is better than 2k14 right now. I literally love it.
People were wrong 3years ago about advantage of 2k14 over 2k13 and most of them are still wrong.

People were wrong 3years ago about advantage of 2k14 over 2k13 and most of them are still wrong.


In the last update, I changed the following things...

1. Made Attack the Basket = to Inside Shot Tendency
2. Made a formula for Drive the Lane Tendency and applied to all players
3. I think I did something else but I can't remember what it was :shock:

What sliders and settings are people using for cpu vs cpu? I tried the default user vs cpu sliders/settings and they play poorly for cpu vs cpu IMO. Are there any cpu vs cpu specific settings?

2. 13 has MANY more working plays. No plays work in 14 where the first pass is an entry pass to the high post which ruins Horns plays.

3. 13 takes advantage of mismatches in the freelance situations.

4. In 13, the mid range game is much more active.

5. In 13, the cpu offense is generally more aggressive imo.


Very interesting thanks I will give it another try. Are 2k14 rosters compatibile with 2k13....or are the tabs all different? I forget which year they changed certain stats and ratings, etc. Just wondering what I would lose moving from 2k14 to 2k13 with one of URB's historical rosters (Y)

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

All issues are for the CPU AI.

Catch and Shoot - Defense plays so tight that it breaks plays where the player with this sig skill is supposed to catch a pass that doesn't result in a shot.

Deadeye - Same issue.

Corner Specialist - Same issue.

Post Proficiency - Doesn't necessarily break the game but it influences players to use post moves even if they have 0 in those tendencies.

PNR Maestro - I'm pretty sure this makes the ball handler always pass out but I can't remember clearly.

Post playmaker - Makes the issue with post players who have possession of the ball and pass out too often even worse.

Dimer - I think this makes the ball handler pass out too quickly/often like PNR Maestro but I can't remember clearly.

Flashy Passer - WAY too many flashy passes with this. Doesn't break gameplay but it makes gameplay considerably less realistic.

There are also several others that I don't like based on how they influence gameplay and refuse to use in my rosters. Like flashy passer, they don't break gameplay, but the way they influence gameplay is ridiculous to me.

Because Ultra is my favorite roster, I'm going through every retro team and making sure that all available statistical ratings and tendencies are year-specific for every team. I'm also editing play types, sig skills, and freelance tendencies based on my scales and formulas. Here is a breakdown of the teams' ratings I've edited so far (I started Saturday, I think).
