Trading for Rose at this point is stupid when we would have to trade someone like Lopez to get him.
Pass.

The time-honored tradition of ex-Knicks having success once they leave NY goes on.......Mozgov, Shump and knuckle-head Smith are going to the White House........smh.......
Mon Jun 20, 2016 10:51 pm
The good news is, Phil Jackson made a trade that resulted in a championship. The bad news is...
Mon Jun 20, 2016 11:07 pm
I forgot Channing Frye too

Knicks build championship teams, Fact.
We tried to help the Bulls with draft picks but who knew they would draft Tyrus Thomas ;-/
Tue Jun 21, 2016 9:30 am
To be fair, they drafted well by picking LaMarcus Aldridge that year. It's their idea of a "shrewd trade" in the wake of that selection that messed things up.

You guys have had it
much worse, so I'm definitely not expecting any sympathy, but GarPax always seem to find a way to balance out their better moves with disappointing ones.

You did get Noah from a bad knicks deal tho so not all is lost.
I've being hearing that Tony Wroten is balling like he did when he came to the Sixers, driving hard to the basket and dunking again.
Iam guessing the summer talent isn't the best though but iam looking forward to the summer league as i believe he's taking part for the knicks

Derrick Rose wi'll get hurt during his physical. Typical Knicks, doesn't matter who's in charge. They have a love jones for injured players past their prime. This franchise is cursed.
Thu Jun 23, 2016 8:38 am
Yes, melo AND rose on the same team. It will be so much easier to hate on the Knicks this year
Thu Jun 23, 2016 8:48 am
In this case though, they're getting a player who has an expiring contract. That's $20+ million coming off the books next offseason. If he pans out, it could be an unexpectedly shrewd move. If it doesn't, the experiment doesn't have to last long. And since he is an expiring contract, maybe the Knicks could flip him at the deadline next year.
Thu Jun 23, 2016 10:21 am
well i dont see how the knicks dont win it all next year
Thu Jun 23, 2016 10:38 pm
Want to get rid of injured, broken-down, past-their-prime star players? Just call the Knicks, the NBA's official dumping ground.
The incompetence never ends......

"Call now and you will receive a limited edition 1st round draft pick (while stocks last)"

Iam a typical knicks fan/nba videogamer...
Dislikes he Rose trade... Can't wait to fire up the ps4 and use Rose on the knicks.
Fri Jun 24, 2016 9:26 pm
Just a question though. Are you expecting more from Rose now that he's in the Knicks?
Fri Jun 24, 2016 10:37 pm
I guess so, I mean iam not thrilled about the knicks trading for him with his injury history but we can't undo the trade so I have no choice but to embrace him and hope for the best.
What I expect from Rose is simple, try and get back to allstar form or close to and just play hard really, I was a fan of his coming into the league but with the injuries and the lack of willingness to play through any type of pain with the added "rest days" has turned me off him but iam hoping that a change of scenery will do him good with the fact that coach Hornacek offences work around a lead pg he should get plenty of chances to prove himself.

If this was 2011, yes. But it's been one injury after another for me to start doing handstands. As a Knicks fan I know better.
Seems like Phil's done a 180 degree turnaround. Instead of preaching slow growth and continuity(like the Spurs do), the Knicks have gone back to their old way of doing business, signing big name players(who aren't what they used to be) to make a splash. We all know how that's worked for this franchise. I've seen this song & dance for decades, going back to Spencer Haywood and Marvin Webster.

We now have a legit starting five.
Noah - KP - Melo - C.Lee - Rose
Not a made start to the offseason
Sun Jul 03, 2016 7:24 pm
You guys got the steal of the offseason here. Courtney Lee for 50 MIL for 4 years? Dam, players like Parsons or Barnes who are not that better than him getting 90 MIL contracts.
Just gotta congratulate Phil with this move..
Sun Jul 03, 2016 7:50 pm
i agree that the knicks have done well this offseason and if rose can stay healthy they should be fun to watch this year.
Sun Jul 03, 2016 8:44 pm
We just need a bench now!
We should be able to retain Galloway and Lance hopefully and I'd like to see Willy Herangomez signed and maybe Summers/Plumlee standout enough in summer league to get training camp invite but we still need about 4-5 more players
Sun Jul 03, 2016 9:03 pm
Hats off to Jackson. Even if he doesn't work any more magic this offseason, it's been a solid effort.
Mon Jul 04, 2016 10:20 am
LOL @ the Noah contract.
I know better than to get juiced up for the Knicks.......too many "ifs".

Yeah we had to renounce the rights to Galloway and D-Will to bring all the new contracts on board but we needed a point guard which Langston is not, good player but very inconsistent like Jennings but at least BJ can run an offence which he may very well have to do for 10-20 games depending on the health of Derrick Rose.
Starting five and five bench players are looking solid but we still need five more players to fill out the roster.
