www.gamestop.com has it listed at 39.99 so it can't be a typo.

HUH? :(

Sat Aug 28, 2004 10:01 am

Ok, NOW I am guessing it was a typo at EBGames because earlier I was browsing Gamestop and it said 39.99 :o

Guess it will be 49.99 this year. I am going to look for the actual price.

EDIT:I have been looking around the Web and everyplace so far says 49.99

Sat Aug 28, 2004 2:32 pm

It looks to be 39.99 for Live!!!!!!!!, you also get 2 free months of xbox live if you preorder

Sat Aug 28, 2004 5:04 pm

I'm guessing it will still be at least $70 Australian, but then again we're used to paying a much higher price for video games.

Sat Aug 28, 2004 5:05 pm

$70??????? How do you manage in that place?

Sat Aug 28, 2004 5:11 pm

It's all relative. Earning $100 in the US is the same as earning around $175 in Australia (obviously the exact figures for comparison depend on the current exchange rate).

Sat Aug 28, 2004 5:11 pm

I see... so that means I can go to Austrailia, make big $$$, and come back to U.S., rich?

Sat Aug 28, 2004 5:22 pm

No not really... depends on the job... The Australian dollar isn't worth as much as the USA dollar, it's always been that way.

Although you'd be much richer if you work hard in US, earn lots of money, come to Australia and each dollar will be worth about 135% more!

Sat Aug 28, 2004 5:50 pm

yeah in most cases its, work hard in america and move to another country and retire. so many from mexico jump the border, work for 15 years, and go back home loaded even though in america they lived a shitty life.

For the Europeans here - play.com is usually the cheapest:

I would suggest waiting with the order though, most new PC games can be had for 28.99 from there. Not sure, but games from EA might be different, I can't remember off the top of my head.

:P 40 US dollars = 22.33 British Pounds=4 hours part time job

EA, i hope you are really doing this, cuz this is awesome!!! :P
