Phil hopes to keep Rambis as the next head coach.....not good news IMO.

Rambis - not great news

Wroten - don't mind the player if healthy but he's not... even tho he played a few games with Sixers since returning from injury... how dI es he pass a medical in NY?????

I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise since they have a working relationship that dates back to Jackson's time with the Lakers, but it's puzzling that he's not considering Thibs, or any other candidates. Wroten's shown some promise, but definitely a bit hard to get too excited about that move if you're a Knicks fan, especially given his health.

I want no part of Dwight Howard;

Re: The Knicks Thread....

I think Howard's a better player than he's sometimes given credit for, but his attitude is concerning. He and Melo are both individually talented, but neither have proven themselves to be true franchise players, and I don't think they'd work any better as a one-two punch than Howard and Harden. He'd be a big name coming to the Knicks, but no guarantee it'd really amount to anything.

Bad pairing, Dwight would be better going to Boston where he is the main focus surrounded by shooters.

Signing Howard would be a typical Knick move.

I hate the way Rambis is treating the young guys, especially Porzingis. Knicks should be developing KP & Grant.....how else are these cats going to get better? Does he actually think this team is going to make the playoffs???

Phil's ego (his insistence on sticking with 'his guys') is going to ruin this team. I'm so pissed right now.....

Seemed like Byron Scott has been holding back the rookies this year, but lately they've been responding and playing well. Maybe there's a method to the madness. Then again, the Knicks don't have a HOF superstar to mentor and lead them.

Must be an ex Laker thing :-/

The key to success is to clearly play Sasha more and more

I hadn't heard those rumours, but it doesn't surprise me that there'd be whispers like that. Given the Knicks' performance though, it's pretty obvious he was let go for basketball reasons, rather than anything else.

Carmelo's right on this...it would make the Knicks even more of a laughingstock;

That would be kind of ridiculous, if he coached the home games and a top assistant coached the road games. I mean, it'd be kind of an interesting scenario, but quite bizarre and a tad dysfunctional, too.

Where the knicks Andrew.

This is what we do.

As I've said before, the Bulls are pretty dysfunctional in their own right, but the Knicks have it down to an art form, thanks to Dolan.

We'd kill for the Knicks to be where the Bulls are right now. Butler, Niko, Portis....I'd love to have players like that.

There is that. A lot of the Bulls' problems come down to bad luck with injuries, so it could be a lot worse. You do have Porzingas, though. That's one bright spot, moving forward.

Zinger looking like Bargs right now, all we need to do us get the league to reduce the number of regular season games to 30 and we have ourselves an allstar

Grass is always greener on the other side ;)
Bulls are in the same shithouse, the decorations are more or less the same

I refuse to believe that. The Knicks have been a joke for most of the past 15 years;

Re: The Knicks Thread....

i don't think either situations are desirable. will this turn into a comparing scars/battle wounds discussion? haha

-bulls management forced out a great coach in Thibs and after an exhaustive search brought in Hoiberg. no one else was interested in him. sound familiar?
-delusional management: during Thibs firing press conference (classless), they say the roster is a championship contender. proceed with the same roster, team stinks, and recently after this year's trade deadline deny any mention of "championship contender"
-Butler publicly calling out his coach to coach harder. players not running hoiberg's offense
-owner does not care as long as revenue is coming in
-derrick rose and his own agenda

i'll just cut it off there as that situation is nauseating enough

Funny thing is, if you took a poll of Knick fans, the majority want Thibs. He'd infuse this pathetic team with toughness. Knicks haven't had that since the 90s. But Phil's sticking with his triangle lackeys. I have a bad feeling it's Rambis.
