Looks slightly different especially the release...try other players to increase the testing sample size, Nowitzki or Curry perhaps? Their respective shooting forms and releases in-game are inaccurate.
He "imported"

Curry's 2k16 shooting animation to 2k14. Looks nothing like it. I'm still very very very esceptic about all of this, how to say it,..., smoke.
Why why why would i blow smoke period, just curious as to why you think i would wast valuable time to do that as if i dnt have other things better to do,if you didnt notice changes just say that and leave your opinion and i will try and get something more noticeable lol
Ive checked in on this thread from time to time, its obviously been active for a long while. And while I think Big Shot Rob was kind of a dick to me at one point (because I called Robert Horry big shot Bob, which many still call him) I kinda understand and appreciate his passion for a classic role player with more rings than MJ...
anyway, off that tangent. I agree with Big Shot Rob here, you have shown nothing of substance. I see no progress, and I believe you might be... As he says... Blowing smoke. I've seen a couple people who are experienced in the community try to not only edit animations the game put in (they gave up because it was so hard) and try to import animations from another game (gave up because they could not do it). Your IDEA is solid, but come on... Not one person has noticed a difference.
If you want to be valuable to the 2k14 modding community, work on editing or creating globals, themes, scoreboards, CFS (that's big shot robs contribution), courts, shoes, warm ups, stadium lighting, rosters etc etc. Endless possibilities...

I'm supposingly been using these mod since it got out, and the game has been looking exactly the same. Funny thing is you only released and .exe file of 2k14, when the animations have his own .iff file...

My reasoning is simple, every video you have shown shows no change . its like if I see a poor cyberface mod, I won't download it based on the look of it. If you showed evidence of an actual change, I would try it.
Plain and simple. I have logged a solid 7000 hours into this game (not an exaggeration, that's what steam shows me) I am familiar with this game, trust me.

Once again your going from videos i still ask have you even tried it yourself looking at video and playing and getting a feel is something completely different bro.I've had ppl try it and tell me its good so i dnt know what to say about your assumptions if your only going by the videos and not even trying it hands on first

You must be a master then to be able to extract 2k15 and 2k16 animations and transfrom them to the 2k14 engine, which is "old engine", and put them into 2k14 without crashing the game neither having the animations act differenlty like dunking on the air or shooting the ball to the top of the stadium. Yeah, smoke, don't try to be Gamez V2, bc you aren't. If you were able to do all that, you wouldn't be here anymore
Sat Jan 02, 2016 2:45 am
I have nothing left more to say if you havent tried it yourself bro dnt be a troll now
Sat Jan 02, 2016 2:48 am
I've tried it, I installed it in my game and I've been "using it" since then. 0 CHANGES. 0. On top of that, you don't show visual arguments to prove us wrong. Gamez posted animation's comparison from the edit mode. You just throw a bunch of 3 minute videos telling there are some new animations in it. C'mon man...

Right, and people have been questioning you from day one anyway. Not trying to gang up on you, but i feel like you are wasting peoples time. I also want to point something out, some of the animations in 2k14 are better... Including fadeaways ams many of the dunks. Next gen is over hyped in my opinion. I have 2k12 through 2k16 installed on steam, and 2k14 is still my go to.

1. SHOW US WHAT TOOLS ARE YOU USING TO EXTRACT ANIMATIONS FROM 2K16 AND 2K15.
2. SHOW US HOW DO YOU IMPORT THOSE ANIMATIONS INTO 2K14.
3. SHOW VIDEOS OF
BEFORE-ANIMATIONS AND VIDEOS OF
AFTER-ANIMATIONS.
4. MAKE A LIST OF ALL NEW ANIMATIONS YOU HAVE IMPORTED WITH ITS CORRESPONENT VIDEO.
is that difficult?

Oh and if you wanna be sure open original 2k14 files in a hex editor then open and compare mine see if they are the same animations or file sizes...thats one way to be for sure if your think im blowing smoke bro no need to do that
Sat Jan 02, 2016 2:58 am
Nah thats not hard but it is time consuming but i'll make a log of what i can,But the only files as of now are the signatures files that work and doesnt crash the game.Im also using the community tools for extraction and some hex editors and archive tools

Devilish patch is what brought me back to 2k14 the first time. I for one can tell of the work he has done... i guess to each its own, but worked great for me and noticeable changes on my end

That is great and all, but can YOU show before and after proof? If he can't supply it, maybe you can.

Honestly, as much as I look forward to seeing some kind of progress to animation modding to NBA 2K14, I have to agree with big-shot-ROB. There is no specific info about this mod. You say that there are NBA 2K16 animations in your videos, where exactly? I mostly see the same animations from NBA 2K14. You could at least add some voiceover or annotations to your videos to show which animations are different. gamez shows even Free Throw animation differences in little GIFs.
If you're trying to just convert NBA 2K16 animations to NBA 2K14, it's not really worth it as well. In your Kobe Bryant, Kyrie Irving & Stephen Curry videos, you are using their default NBA 2K14 jump shot animations which remain the same in NBA 2K16 (except for Curry). Why didn't you try to get the shot animation from Curry's base in NBA 2K16? Not to mention that all of these jump shot animations for Kobe, Kyrie and Curry are not accurate. Default 2K has never paid very good attention to these jump shot animations and that's what I hoped this mod would do for us. I mean, that should be the purpose of an animation mod.
The Dirk animation, I could see a difference (there was an open palm follow through on the pull up to the left jump shot animations) but the other animations such as post fadeaways, layups and dunks were all the same as they were in NBA 2K14. If you could shed some more light on how exactly this is changing the way we play or what is different, this would be exciting. But right now, it feels like I'm playing Where's Waldo (or rather, Where's The New Animation in a 3 Minute Video). I'd like to see more detail in the progress. We've all spent our hours on the game and trust me, a single change will pop out like a space ship in the dinosaur age.

I think it would be helpful if you have a changelog, before and after videos.
The best thing you could probably do is share how you do it. I remember someone finally found a way to change the playlist and shared the procedure to everyone. Good luck
