First, open photoshop and load your texture.

Create a new layer and paint the color red all over it. (ff0000) <-- code/hex I use

Then, go to the Layers Tab and change the Layer Type from Normal to Multiply.

Now, just save it as DXT 1 No Alpha and import it.

Making the green texture/bump maps

Open your Photoshop and load your texture.

Press Shift + Ctrl + U to desaturate the texture.

Then go to Filter >> Stylize >> Emboss and play with it's settings. I mostly use this.

Now create a new layer and paint the color green all over it. (008b00) code/hex that I use.

Now change the Layer Type from Normal to Hard Light.

After you merged it down, go to your Channels Tab and create a new channel there. The Channel will automatically be named Alpha 1 so you just have to copy and paste the texture from the Green Channel and paste it to the Alpha Channel.

Image

Now just save it as DXT5 interpolated alpha and you're done!
