The problem is based on your computer / graphics card.

my PC can run nbalive05 w/ the lightning on and I think Nbalive05's and 06's graphics are the same..

NBA Live 06 had slightly different requirements. It is possible that your chipset isn't supported by 06, but is by 2005.
