no hair bug for me after the second patch

Leftos any idea if it's possible to disable DOF during the game as we have done in the past?

(VIDEOSETTING_DEPTHOFFIELD = 0 - not working)

I disconnect from the net (while I was playing) in order not to automaticaly update - do I have any other way if this patch is so bad ?

P.S. Does it fix players that lose their pictures bug ?

I didn't see any improvement either since the last patch, and like someone said before, the game looks more jerky now, the cinematics and the game itself is less smooth than after the first patch.


The only improvement i have seen is that the pre game show with shaq has no more stuttering now but it looks like removing the pre game show stuttering is causing way more trouble during the game. This is what happened when i changed the SUPERSAMPLE value in %appdata% -> 2k Sports/NBA 2k15/VideoSettings before all the patch were released.

It looks like you can't remove stuttering during the pre game show and during the game at the same moment.

I also noticed that if you play with different teams than the default ones (for example rockets against thunder at houston) there is way more stuttering than spurs against cavaliers at cleveland. It looks like the stuttering is more visible with some teams.

Another example, if you play with old teams such as the bulls from 97-98 against the lakers from the same years, the game doesn't stutter anymore because the court is less detailed than with actual teams so i guess that the stuttering is mainly coming from hd courts.

Last issue i have noticed: when you press ctrl alt suppr the game freezes and you can't navigate in the menu with the keyboard or the controller anymore

2 patch works like a charm here, now in Full Screen-Windowed my stuttering FINALLY´s GONE! =) Game runs perfeclty and new courts are amazing. No more hair bug too. Thks man, u work is amazing with community.

Leftos, is it possible to undo the official update?frankly, I got more stuttering issues after I downloaded the patch!
I have to admit that I tried to use a cracked .exe (I bought the game!!!) and the game had less stuttering issues compared to the updated version but I couldn't connect with my profile to the servers anymore...

A week and a half ago, I was stuck on "connect" on the main menu, and before that online leagues wouldn't work with custom rosters.

Being that all I've ever wanted to do with nba2k on pc was play against a friend using custom rosters, this was a bit disconcerting after getting my hopes up that I would finally be able to do this after years of frustration/waiting.

However, since then... with the two patches that have been released, all of the problems I was having have been fixed. Played a game against my friend last night using custom rosters, and that made me very happy.

I know there are still problems, but I just wanted to express my gratitude that you folks are paying attention to pc this year, and releasing patches for pc (and, handling it separately from the consoles, even, by not making us wait for console patches to hit, etc!)

Please keep up the good work.

p.s. also noticed that my controller started vibrating after this 2nd patch last night.

I'm not a technician. I can't tell what is going wrong. But I checked the videosettings. I don't understand why the my Intel(R) HD Graphics Family is in it instead of my Nvidia GeForce.

On a laptop? You may have a power management setting somewhere that is telling it to use it instead of the (more power hungry) nvidia.

I'd look in your general power management settings, and (if you haven't) I would suggest going to nvidia control panel, and setting up the profile for nba2k15. There is an option for the cards power management and you should confirm you have "prefer maximum performance" selected.

I can't seem to use my gamepad after the patch. Plugged it in while the game is running so I guess it didn't auto-detect the gamepad.

You should have it plugged in, on, and set up before you launch the game.

Have a friend who is using the exact same setup.

The game is much smoother now. Player movement also became snappier, maybe because it's smooth now, or is it placebo? Man, the main menu has been fixed too also, no more waiting for the options menu to pop up if you selected it before waiting for that 2KTV video to load. Overall it has been great! Now Leftos, may I ask if you guys might have had patched the myCareer teammate AI too? Because I am winning now on Superstar sim, without that feeling of being cheated by the computer AI being god mode(i have tried HOF myCareer too, it's not for me. Superstar pre-patch i think my teammates were kinda nerfed too but tolerable.). You guys are awesome!

I saw this mentioned elsewhere, and the proposed solution was to make sure that you both have the same language settings in game, and in steam.

Some configurations, as you guys are reporting, are having issues creating shaders with the performance remaining smooth throughout. In VideoSettingsHelp.txt there's this setting:

JIT_SHADER_CREATE
Shader creation control
JIT_SHADER_CREATE=0 - Create shaders on file load. May cause stuttering on loading screens.
JIT_SHADER_CREATE=1 - Create shaders on first draw. May improve load time at the cost of in-game stuttering.

If I were you, I would absolutely set that to 0 to have all the shaders create while loading into game and avoid in-game stuttering at the cost of stuttering during the loading screen.

Those of you that are having this issue or are still encountering stuttering, it would help if you posted your PC specs and where the stuttering is occurring, and whether using this setting worked for you.
