Now there are rumors that LAL are interested in Marion. I think the Lakers should go the opposite direction and see how younger players like Jordan Hamilton or Aminu could fit their system. Or if the Lakers just wants a veteran prescence, I think the Lakers should go with Turkey-Glue or Josh Howard.

The Lakers are the only team I'm jealous this offseason. They got Ed Davis and Carlos Boozer dirt cheap. They also picked Randle because of the Celtics screwing up. Then there's Marion coming probably at cheap cost.

Pretty decent job for a team that doesn't have much shot in West.

I'd take Marion over Turk/Howard any day. Turk would be injured half the time or more and Howard has the same name as Dwight Howard so fuck him. And fuck Dwight Howard too.

Shame they didn't make a play on Bledsoe, he rejected the Suns offer and he's pretty much the prototypical PG of now. Athletic, athletic and a bit more athletic. But hey, we've got Lin for a year. Yay.

Your hate to Dwight will always be there, right? Come on.

The Lakers officially have Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Jordan Hill, Jeremy Lin, Nick Young, Carlos Boozer, Julius Randle, Ryan Kelly, Ed Davis, Robert Sacre, Henry and Johnson under contract. Rookie Jordan Clarkson (46th overall pick) is likely to sign as the 13th

sooo...

Hill/Davis/Sacre
Boozer/Randle
Xavi/Johnson/Kelly
Kobe/Young
Lin/Nash/Clarkson

Not a bad group. Will contend for a 6-8 spot.

Tier 1-Spurs, OKC, LAC
Tier 2-Portland, Houston, Dallas (Not really sold on Houston)
Tier 3-Warriors, Lakers, Memphis, Minnesota, Phoenix

You think Lin will start ahead of Nash?

Re: Lakers Thread

Lin will be maybe the sixth or seventh man but that will change when Nash gets injured again.

You think Nash will play more than 20 games?

Fair call, that remains to be seen. I reckon he'll start most of those 20 games, though.

Lakers have re-signed Wes Johnson to a one-year contract (most likely for the minimum).
Nothing spectacular...

Well, sure, but that's against his Lakers teammates. Not exactly the toughest competition in the NBA right now. :P

The same can be said for Derrick Rose last season.

All the injuries are coming back. So sad for Nash though. :(

Hot damn, I was secretly hoping Nash comes back strong and prove me wrong but I think he's real done at age of literally 40. His nerve problem seems permanent.

At least we can expect a lot of Lin.

Re: Lakers Thread

It was his chronic back pain that triggered it.

Re: Lakers Thread

His chronic back pain is a result of his nerve problem, Suns medical staff are such a boss.
