Ok so, I'm coming back to do a Clippers association, for those that remember me from around 2 years ago. I've been busy with my first year of law school (finished) and was busy the year prior to that unfortunately.

Here is the basic layout of what my news articles will be, any help in making it better? for example, the side bar where recent played games could be in a different colour along with the news article title etc?

Have not started it yet, the games against the celtics and raptors were just placeholders.

Decided to give myCareer another shot (mostly for achievements) and now I'm enjoying it. Turns out the minutes glitch was a one time thing and I've been developing as a sixth man. On the Bucks and basically my dude is Jimmer playing for a team dumb enough to play him, with 75% of my points coming off long threes. Needless to say I'm among the league leaders in PER and TS%.

Playing only key games, my Bucks are 34-41 and tied with Atlanta for 8th, coming off a loss in Miami which was pretty much all my fault. With averages of 16/2/3, I'm likely to win 6MotY but not RotY. Here's hoping my 70 ovr 3pt specialist can bring home some hardware and lead the Bucks to that coveted 8 seed!

Nowadays I enjoy to set up a franchise with Golden State Warriors at my favorite game, NBA Live 2003.

At each season's start, Warriors has always the first match and can reach the whole free agents list. Usually, star players are signed with minimum contract instead of signing large contracts at free agency. So you can sign Kevin Garnett, Steve Francis, Grant Hill, Jamal Mashburn and Jerry Stackhouse at one season (all these guys are +87 rating at NBA Live 2003, these guys were fine ballers back then).

Well, after my myCareer got corrupted or something, I started an association for fun with 3 minute quarters and 29 game seasons with the 76ers. They were fun to rebuild, and after a 7-22 first season, I went 23-6 in tthe next, sweeping the end of season awards and winning the championship behind Michael Carter-Williams.

MCW, Lance Stephenson, Gerald Green, Myles Turner and Nerlens Noel was my starting five with Hawes, Pierre Jackson, Kelly Oubre, Wroten and Ray Allen among my key reserves.

The Sim engine fared better than expected, 2014-15 champions Denver and 2016 all-star Jonny Flynn aside. I might sim out my Sonics aassociation, but other than that, I think it's time to say goodbye to this generation of sports gaming.

Started with the Pistons using the 2002/03 rosters. Traded guys like Hamilton and Prince for draft picks which was the only thing I wanted as it was the 2003 draft coming up and getting wins didn't really matter. Still, with 4 first round draft picks, I made it to the Playoffs, got to the second round. But the draft was more important, only had 1 lottery pick, #7 overall, so after a plethora of trades during the draft and some insanely bad draft logic by the CPU, this was what I ended up with :

Image

Starting line-up after the off-season :

C - Ben Wallace
PF - Chris Bosh
SF - Carmelo Anthony
SG - Dwyane Wade
PG - Gary Payton

LeBron went to the Bobcats, who were 0-82 in the first season, they had a roster full of 25 rated players for some reason. LeBron averaged 36.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

Lost in the Conference Finals, simulated all of it. The Grizzlies won the 'chip with Gasol, Miller and Jason Williams. (lol wtf) They beat the 76ers, who have both Iverson and Tracy McGrady.

Season 2 depth chart :

C - Ben Wallace (87) / Marcus Camby (75)
PF - Chris Bosh (86) / Aaron Williams (71) / Lee Nailon (66)
SF - Carmelo Anthony (89) / Courtney Alexander (74) / Dorell Wright (67)
SG - Dwyane Wade (87) / Kyle Korver (68)
PG - Gary Payton (80) / Damon Stoudamire (76)

Tim Duncan, Zach Randolph and Pau Gasol have all signed with the Jazz.

good to know something good happens to the bobcats, even though they were a team that didn't even exist in 2003

Meanwhile, I'm still trying to find the best team to fit in with my athletic 6'2 PG.

Knicks are crappy with Sam replacing Tyson. Lakers, Nash got injured in just the 2nd game of the season (broken back). OKC, no great rebounders. Celtics, just....no. Blazers, seems okay. Dallas, looks good but Dirk shoots bad in this game.

Very fucked up lineup out there.

Waiting til Christmas to get a PS4 and 2k15, and after getting seriously burnt out on 2K14, I promised myself that I would shelve it for good. However, with the NBA season starting up, I couldn't resist.

After winning the 15-16 championship with Philadelphia, I resigned my position and signed with Portland, unfortunately not being able to do it after the off-season. I inherited a roster actually rated higher than the championship Sixers, but coming off an 11-18 start. Lillard, McCollum, Batum, Aldridge and Miles Plumlee start, with Goran Dragic, Thomas Robinson and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson among relevant reserves. I'd like to upgrade at the Center position, but the team is pretty solid.

Currently 2-0 (5-0 pro-rata) and considering turning up the difficulty and/or changing the sliders after blowing out the Thunder in OKC. Will probably sim some games to get through the year.

Perhaps it is time for a new thread for the next-generation?

Portland | 16-17 Season | 6 Minute Quarters | 29 Games | All-Star

So I traded Thomas Robinson, Meyers Leonard and Mo Williams to Indiana for Roy Hibbert and some scrub to make what I thought would be an unbeatable team that is clearly superior to my 76ers. However, the Sim engine (simming about half the games) has not been kind. To be fair, stupid mistakes and my inability to play defense have cost me winnable games vs. Memphis (who got Rudy Gay back but lost Marc and Z-Bo) and Boston (no Rondo).

8-9 but in the playoff picture and LA and Dame both have a chance to start in the all-star game. Next game against the team I built Philly will be a big test and perhaps decide whether this is a lost season. Hollis-Jefferson is out for a few weeks, but my starting five of Lillard, Dragic, Batum, Aldridge and Hibbert is solid, and McCollum, D-Wright, Plumlee and Mullens should get it done...

Started MyLeague with Oklahoma City on NBA 2k15.

In first season only did one trade, traded "Big Perk" Perkins for Gortat as needed proper Center. This was, in fact, brilliant move .

Played Season 1 on Pro/Simulation, 29 games, best of 7 in playoffs, 6 min qtrs and in first 3 games of the season... I lost them all. Getting to grips with new gameplay was a bit of a mess at first, but then, came our first win ;).

I went on a run and in the Conference standings we came 2nd. Winning 20 losing 9.

In Play Offs there were AWESOME and I mean AWESOME games.

First on our way were Denver Nuggets, but we did witn 4-1.

In 2nd Rouind, we faced Memphis Grizzlies, but they were heavily injured, we won 4-0, advancing to our tree Finals.

There we faced the team, I lost to both times in Regular season. Trail Blazers.

My God that must have been the best 7 games I played. The series went to draw 3-3 and we had 7th game to decide it. We did win in the end by a buzzer beater from the one and only KD. Winning 4-3 and advancing to Championship Finals to face... Indiana Pacers (how did this go, check in video below).

The summary of first season is here:

phpBB [video]

Now I'm in Season 2, played 11 games. Did STUPID and I mean STUPID trade I thought it wouldn't go through :(. Switched to All-Star difficulty too as Pro was tad easy.

Lost Westbrook, got Rubio and some other dude (I can't remember the name now). Yeah, I said to myself: this will be a real test now without Westbrook points .

Traded Ibaka, Gortat (sorry, man!), and 2 prospects and got Drummond (BEAST!), Monroe (och yes :D), Derron Williams (old, but who cares, he still is one of best playmakers :P).

Surprised we are at the top of conference, being on 64% chemistry (at end of 1st season that was 89% fyi). Must say, that my rebounding totals went HELL up with Monroe/Drummond combo. Plus don't miss out on Westbrook, sure his points would be ace, but instead of points, now I have 2 most fun playmakers in NBA in same team. Rubio and Williams when they play together... They tear teams apart. Rubio alley-oops and behind, over, back passes are just a joy to look at. So smoooooth. Ach yeah, KD is still here and rolling over teams .

Got a PS4 for Christmas with the Gamestop bundle which gives you one of four free games, one of them being 2k15. Unfortunately, PSN has been down and will be for the near future. I got four other games, so not stressing that, but no myGM for Lamrock until (if?) Sony gets its get together.

Hello, I'm obviously a new member. I have been playing a lot of MyGM/MyLeague seasons on NBA 2k15 (I actually like them more than MyCareer/Parks). I have been successful with multiple franchises so far and I would probably like to start up a proper thread for one of my teams. I just can't think of which one, maybe you could help me out with a decision.

Thunder - Never had them in GM, would be an interesting first few seasons being one of the main contenders.
Pacers - Had them in MyGM once, enjoyed it a lot, but f'ed it up with making some stupid trades, that I couldn't revert on S3.
Heat - Would be an interesting rebuild process with DWade and B-Rex getting older.
Brooklyn - Nice mid-table team with some depth and talent.
Spurs - Top contender, with core getting older and young superstar developing.
Your suggestions?

Also I would like to point out, that I like to make trades only when players are unhappy with their role/playing time, or if I see an offer that is realistic and would benefit teams. Obviously trading untouchables is a no-no, unless there is a good reason in my "NBA-verse".

If anyone has any suggestions or opinions, please let me know! :bowdown2:

I was contemplating between Miami and Brooklyn, somehow I see Brooklyn as a more of a challenge, having a starting lineup that is quite old and other players that haven't developed much yet. But if I start with BKN I need to sign Ray-Ray from FA too, to have a decent output. Even in my NBA-verse it would make sense, as KG would approach Ray and ask him to join in for a contender run, for old times sake.
Miami is definitely somewhere on the top of my list, though.

Finally got 2K15 on Monday and I can't stop playing it. I get that same great feeling that I did making the jump from 2K6 on the original Xbox to 2K7 on the 360. Obviously the graphics are fantastic besides a few blemishes and I like the gameplay a lot - though I haven't found out how to do everything yet (I can't seem to get my players to cut). I've been waiting years for Simcast, and the roster, though not perfect, is much improved over past years. I miss the ability to jump into the current point of the season, but I'm looking forward to checking out myGM and myLeague more.

myCareer is what I've been hooked on lately though. I always forget how addictive this mode is. Got picked up by a 16-32 Magic team, and we've gone 9-2 since adding me to the team, hoping to make an unlikely playoff run. Despite my Assist/Turnover ratio of 1>, I got promoted to starter and look to continue to hit clutch threes.

I also gave myGM a shot, picking Minnesota because they suck. Got off to a real rough start with Pek, Rubio and Martin all out, but getting Pekovic back has given us some momentum. Ended up trading Bennett and Budinger to Boston for Gerald Wallace and their first rounder (complicated 8 player, makeshift 3 team deal with CLE) after Bennett compared my intelligence to that of a fetus... 8-16 rocking a starting five of Mo Williams, Wiggins, Shabazz, Thad Young and Pek with a solid bench of Dieng, Lavine, Gerald Wallace and Troy Daniels. Might actually be in danger of meeting the owner's 38 win goal if Rubio and Martin come back soon!

Ehhhh that always seems like a good idea when I'm on break from school but I simply won't have time for that starting next week. Will constrain my exploits to this thread for the time being. ;)

I like the idea of myGM a lot but I think myLeague is going to be the way to go. I don't like making five trades per season but the game seems to force my hand too often. I also don't really care about micromanaging non basketball stuff.

I haven't played with my retro Hornets association in a long time as I've built a team for fun and it's freaking awesome to play with.

Me and my cousin often pick two teams, start an association with either real rosters or a fantasy draft. This time we decided to do a fantasy draft and I didn't do that well. I got Kyle Lowry, Chris Bosh and Luol Deng as my 3 main guys. First season wasn't that spectacular. But one thing we do is stockpile draft picks and I had plenty of first round picks to draft guys.

I can't remember all the moves I made, but I picked Jahlil Okafor in the 2015 draft, traded Lowry for Marcus Smart (cap space) and then swapped Okafor and fillers for Anthony Davis. (cpu offered the deal)

I had loads of picks so I drafted Jaylen Brown (Draftexpress #1 prospect) in 2016. Also got Cheick Diallo (#4) and Malik Newman (#5). Won the title the next two years with them, kept most of the squad (all simulated).

Now, in season 2018-19, I finally decided to play with this squad and I just love it.

My line-up is like this :

C - Anthony Davis (94)
F - Nerlens Noel (85)
F - Jaylen Brown (88) - Just a beast. He has the lockdown defender skill, also a 85 three-pointer and a 95 dunk. Similar to Paul George.
G - Malik Newman (83) - Great shooter, also a freak athlete.
G - Marcus Smart (80)
------------------
6 - Stanley Johnson (84) - Lockdown defender, posterizer. Quick and a great cross-over for a SF. Needs work on his jumpshot. Traded for him, gave up a PF I had drafted who didn't really do much for me.
7 - Cheick Diallo (82) - Kenneth Faried copy. Gets to all the loose balls, dunks everything he can.
8 - Brandon Jennings (82)
9 - Chris Bosh (77)
10 - Thabo Sefolosha (65)
11 - Zaza Pachulia (62)
12 - Dorell Wright (61)

I like athletic players and basically that's what I've built. After simulating the first two games of the season, Brown had scored 12 points combined. I've played 10 games now, hall of fame and won all of them. Brown's scoring numbers - 42, 46, 35, 44, 39, 35, 29, 51, 33, 42. He's also a good rebounder and passer, a triple-double threat every night though I have yet to get one. Came within 1 rebound once. Standing at 11-1 now after beating OKC in overtime (they have Durant, Steph Curry, Brook Lopez and Afflalo, 2nd in the West.)

During the winning streak, Brown's averaged 39.6 pooints, 6.6 rebounds and 7.6 assists.

The team my cousin has built isn't bad either -

C - Ibaka (85)
F - Mirotic (85)
F - Ben Simmons (86)
G - J Butler (85)
G - Rose (91)
-----------
Mudiay (88)
Shumpert (81)
Justise Winslow (79)
Harry Giles (80)

I'm really into this team so I might start a story with this team. The fantasy draft aspect means that no one plays for the team they do in real life. LeBron is in Clipperland, Carmelo's in Indiana, Paul George is in Brooklyn, Harden is in Atlanta. Kobe, Duncan, Pierce and Dirk have all retired.

Would you guys follow this?

Definitely prefer myLeague to myGM. Dealing with the owner and player egos are annoying and I like the options of myLeague. There are a couple things I don't like about both though. The menus are kind of confusing, though that might just be due to being new to it after nearly a decade of playing Association. I also think the social media stuff is kind of silly. (Yeah, I'm going to read all 2000 generic tweets that have been posted in the last month of the season) Sim stats are okay, but every star player puts up LeBron-type numbers. Finally, it's a bit too easy to unknowingly sim through games - I was 5-0, then accidentally simmed through a game vs. Dallas which I of course lost. Still, Simcast, while not perfect is the best feature they've added in years. Between that and Playstation Share, it'll be tempting to write a casual story some day.

So yeah, have been playing a casual myLeague with Portland - 29 games, 7-7-7-7 playoffs, 6 minute quarters. 7-1 right now and despite the quarter length, Lillard averages 25+ PPG. 2K never changes...

I've just started a new single season myleague with the Knicks using Embracethapace's off season roster.

Enjoying it a lot so far using the new players NY have gotten like RoLo, Double A and D-Will!

I may post it on here I haven't decided yet....

One to many failed attempts has gotten me questioning my commitment but I am enjoying playing the game never the less.

I always wait until after the trading deadline to start my (2K 16/PS3) Association. So far my Knicks are 11-3, coming off an 85-84 loss at Washington. Wall & Beal took advantage of NY's poor perimeter defense, scoring nearly half of the Wizards' points.

I always struggle to use the knicks in myleague/mygm/Dynasty mode, so much expectations but yeah... weak guard defence and i dont usually do many trades when i use the knicks but fingers crossed next year we have a PG!
