Dang, what a comeback. Philippines couldn't get a rebound when they needed it the most. Gave up 2 offensive rebounds on the same trip
Alapag was money though!

Jason Castro William smh indeed.
His father left him and his mother (like stereotypical black fathers do!) and he started using his mother's name Castro but his papers still have William as his name so he has to use it in international stuff.

So is that it? Philippines is out of FIBA?

Not really, wins against Puerto Rico and Senegal can still clinch a spot in the Round of 16.

Get that highlight shit outta here. They lost.
Still thankful that the international broadcast is still being shown here as an alternative to the local broadcast.
Listening to the local broadcast kills off brain cells, like listening to a Lakers and Heat bandwagoner combined.

Fuck you it's a bad mood killer for me.
And it's a highlight worthy of being posted despite the loss. There are still highlights of Sixers players even when they are down by 30.

Only advantage of the local broadcast is that they spot more ladies in the crowd than the international one.

Final score: PUR vs GRE 79-90.
Another great win for Greece, we qualified to the top 16... Fortunately Arroyo didn't play today becase of an injury, so we won easily... Phillipinnes lost to Argentina by 4, but they can still qualify to the next round, because Senegal today beat Croatia!

I hope Phillipines qualify to the top 16, with Greece, Argentina and Senegal...
Looking forward to the USA game tomorrow!!!

Spain just pwning Brazil.
Nene and Vaginajao don't stand a chance against the Gasol bros.
Iblocka isn't even in.
Pau Gasol shooting a three and sinking it.
USA going to lose when they meet if Spain plays like this.
Rubio driving to the basket at will, still can't finish like always lol.
Pau 3/5 from three. Srsly Brazil?
Marc Gasol looks lean, similar to Kevin Love becoming leaner.
Marc could be beasting it this NBA season if he stays healthy.
Varejao with the spin and sinks it with Marc guarding him under the basket.
Good sight for Cleveland fans.

I don't know, the local broadcasters are really gonna have to be biased. Like local Fox networks during NBA games.
And I understand why the "heart" thing is going on. A lot of Pinoys, myself included, is excited to see the national team play on the world tournament.

There's still a 'chance' for PHI to qualify for round-of-16:
> PHI must defeat both PUR and SEN for a 2-3 record.
> SEN must also lose to ARG which will leave SEN with a 2-3 record.
> By virtue of winner-over-loser rule, PHI will be the fourth team in Group B.

Weird to hear the international broadcasters analyze the Philippines team. Like cheering them to win but at the same time disgruntled that they are even in the tournament.
Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:33 pm
That's what I feel right now. I always favor the underdogs but I've been disappointed every time.
Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:51 pm
Why be disappointed when the underdogs lose? That's the reason underdogs are the underdogs, they are expected to lose.
Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:53 pm
underdogs are expected to at least prove themselves in these types of competition.

So the Sixers are underdogs?
Tue Sep 02, 2014 9:23 pm
The Sixers just suck. Nothing is expected of them.
KevinParker13 wrote:underdogs are expected to at least prove themselves in these types of competition.
Proving themselves?
Pushing Croatia to OT and losing by 3 pts?
Pushing Argentina to within a point before choking and losing by 4 pts?
Are you not entertained?
Gorgui Dieng plays for Senegal...Philippines gon' be molested inside.
