Please keep Bosh away from the Lakers! This guy is a legitim WNBA player by all reasons. He's even softer as Gasol and seems to like rebounding as much as Bargnani. Ok, that might be a bit exaggerated, still I don't like him too much...

Bosh is what the Lakers want if they needed the opposing team to have highlight plays specially posterizers...
Wed Jul 02, 2014 6:23 pm
IMHO the laker's Gm should sign a good coach so that they would know what kind of play style they'll be playin.

Kobe as playing coach. Problem solved.

Bosh and randle as frontcourt looks very potent on the offense in the low block and elbow area but how about the low post def, rebuilding is a hard and long road to take even for the lakers but i think to "accelerate" there rebuild and instantly put them in the playoff picture is to develop randle and add a defensive center and sign loul deng (prolly 11m-12m 3yrs to 4 yrs) and a defensive minded coach and i also like playing Kobe some 3

Adrian Wojnarowski ✔ @WojYahooNBA
The Rockets finalizing Jeremy Lin, a future first-round pick and other draft considerations to the Lakers, league source tells Yahoo.
Marc Stein ✔ @ESPNSteinLine
Lakers would make sense as destination with cap space to take on Jeremy Lin's expiring contract & without cutting into any of 2015 cap space
This development doesn’t mean the deal between the Rockets and Sixers is off the table...
...the Lakers aren’t demanding a first-round pick from Houston like the Sixers supposedly are.

Ew.

Swaggy P staying in LA for 4 years, 21,5 million. Player option for the fourth year. I am okay with this. Do the Lakers get more basketballs to play with or are there gonna be more hoops at their games?
Also: Jordan Hill remains with LA for 2 years for 18 million. 9 per isn't too shabby for him, a bit more (5-6) than I'd have liked but they overpay for bigs anyways. Gasol will likely head to the Bulls/Spurs. Good on him, vaya con dios Pau.
Monroe to LA? Anyone? Someone? Please? I would have rather they spent 11-13 on Monroe instead of Hill though.
Man, we're gonna suck this year again.
Hill/Sacre/Kelly
Randle/Kelly
Johnson/Henry?
Kobe/Swaggy/Bazemore?
Lin/Marshall/Corpse of Nash
And a defensive minded coach in Scott? What. The. Fuck.

Woj: Gasol turned down 2 years, 10 million+ per deal with the Lakers.

SHIT. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

This roster is just plain

Lakers should've dealt Gasol a couple of years back. They dangled & dangled him like bait. Out of loyalty they should've just done it. Anyways, will be good for Gasol to go somewhere else for his own career.
Lakers did well getting a free 1st rounder in the Lin deal. He's only under contract for one year at $8 mill against cap so all good.
I took a double take with Jordan Hill $9 mill then I found out only first year guaranteed so thought that was smart so they still have the flexibility for next summer.
Liked the Swaggy P signing, just so Sit is happy.
Even though no big name signings at least no knee jerk reactions so positive for real rebuild in 1-2 years time.
Jackal, Monroe is getting max contract now. If Parsons & Hayward can get it, Monroe definitely can considering his is a big.

Shit, I know right. They went all nuts for SF's this off-season. Read about the option year on Hill too, good thinking.

I'm pretty happy with the Ed Davis signing. He should be a good addition to the front-court and with sufficient playing time he just might become a beast?
Shame Xavier probably won't be making it back, if he hadn't gotten injured I think he would have definitely been back.
Thu Jul 17, 2014 10:33 pm
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2132 ... e-ed-davisSounds like a definitely risk free pick up for the rebuilding Lakers. Might turn out to be a great pick up actually.
This one was a head scratcher because statistically he should have had more chasers after him with bigger money. Also I wondered for sometime now why he hasn't been able to get more minutes despite being productive while on the floor.

I hope he makes the team next season. He's a good player and can be a spark off the bench. Can be a starter, too.

I agree, I enjoyed watching him play. I'm hoping he does come back.
Fri Jul 18, 2014 8:30 pm
In my count LA is one wing player short, unless Kobe gets more time at the 3 and Lin & Clarkson gets more time at 2. From what I read, I think Xavier is still on the Lakers' radar. Both the Lakers and Xavier probably needs time to see what is still out there.

XAVIIIIIII!!!!!!!! Now he has to give up #7 for Lin
Sat Jul 19, 2014 2:29 pm
I'm really glad they resigned him. Also resigned Johnson & Kelly. I think that's it for this off-season. Overall I'm quite happy, I guess. Shame to see Gasol go but he deserved better than what Mike D did with him last year. The Boozer signing is the only iffy thing...here's hoping I won't absolutely hate him.
Hill/Davis/Sacre
Boozer/Randle/Davis/Kelly
Jonhson/Swaggy/X
Bryant/Swaggy/X
Lin/Clarkson/The Corpse
Marshall has been released and I'm glad Melo stayed in NY.

I'm not happy about the Lakers not trading Pau last year and I liked what I've seen from Marshall. Would have been nice if the Lakers were able to keep both, but nevertheless they made the best out of their situation.

Me too. I think Pau is great, but I think his best years are behind him. All the weaknesses in his game are starting to show. It would have been nice if the Lakers were able to squeeze one or two first round picks out of Pau instead of loosing him to free agency. But, it would also be great if Boozer could teach a few things to Randle. Boozer and Randle are practically the same height and weight, so I hope that works out.
