First look at the player scans and tech for Live 15

Yay Celtics!
AB playing 2K, lol
Scans look nice, but scary with them saying these are for reference, I'd rather them just use these.
Mentioned they have 5 body types that they mix and match for each player, assuming they mean 5 different torsos, shoulders, arms, legs, etc, that they apply to each player specifically.
Scanning was optional for all NBA players....and it really looks like they got a huge turnout over the past months. TBH I thought it could have been marketing mandated by the NBA.
No gameplay, no in-game footage of 15

I don't think it's scary that they're using them as reference, The artists did a great job from scratch with NBA Live 13, It will probably help them get the details a lot more precise

If those are official screenshots from NBA Live 15 then I'm blown away & shocked from the detail. I hope the gameplay will make as huge jump as well this year.

Impressive stuff. There's more to a game than nice visuals of course, but it seems they've got some really good stuff in the pipeline.

If you compare these to Next Gen 2K14 player faces, 2K's faces kind of look like ballons. These look a lot more realistic. If they can some how get the player movement on point, the competition will be great next year!!!

Even leaving gameplay out of the argument, this means little if they are going to do the same as they did with 14 and load in higher quality players/LOD when you zoom in (replays especially).

2K14 looks the same during the closest gameplay camera as it does during replays. Live (and FIFA as well for the record) cheats and loads different models.

If they can give us better camera angles (and tweaking options) and have this quality of graphics while we play, then it will be something worth getting excited about.

They've never gone into specifics about the software, only the scanning technique.
