EA is real funny company, just look at 1:19, how in the hell no1 from PR crew did not notice this nba logo positioning on Rondo's jersey, cmon first ever screens and this?!
Another thing blurry of this jerseys textures are awful. They want to scan all things in this reso with one click, because its easier and faster?....im out.

Haters gonna hate, I guess.

Yeah the jersey textures are subpar and the texture mapping seems like it was done by a hobbyist graphic artist and not a professional. Quite embarrassing if it makes it into the final product. The faces however seem to be well done which are obviously much more important to get right.

Bit harsh in my opinion, but sure, room for improvement.

Well the release is still several months away so for all we know it could just have been a rough and quick composition that will be refined and ready by the time of release. Admittedly, it's trivial.

To me, it's a promising start. I don't mean to imply that we shouldn't critique the graphics, but for my money, they're off to a really good start with those faces. If the game plays well, I don't think some of the more minor graphical issues will really be a problem for most people; I can certainly overlook this or that if I'm enjoying the gameplay.

I agree wholeheartedly.

yeah maybe, but really im one of the guys waiting for two very good basketball games, because only in this case, 2k and EA will make huge improvement of nba series- this is how competition works. Im far away from hate.

That certainly would be beneficial to the basketball gaming community.

Skoadam, what if Live 15 has great gameplay? Would you still be upset by the quality of the uniforms then?

I really damn hope they revamp the gameplay. I admit that it sucks along with the player animations and collisions :|

The patch did make some noticeable improvements to NBA Live 14's gameplay, but having said that, there's still certainly room for improvement. I know that they've taken the community's feedback on board in many aspects of the game.

Main thing for me ? Gameplay.
But i just cant stand EA animations, i dont care about lvl of details, reso of textures, really we cant see all of those things, we are focused on gameplay and this is most important- but quality of animations/collisions is my second most important thing.

animations/collisions are directly correlated to gameplay, and I agree.

Stiffness of the controls, animation quality, collisions and occasional AI lapses are certainly something that I hope to see improved/fixed in NBA Live 15. However, there were some good things in NBA Live 14's gameplay that haven't really been talked about that much, mainly because the aforementioned issues do distract people or turn them off the game...which is certainly understandable.

However, there were some pleasing improvements and a lot of promise in the game's AI. The CPU running plays, the right players taking the most shots (no more point guard domination, unless you're dealing with someone like Russell Westbrook), defensive rotations and help defense (CPU teammates actually help out), the CPU taking advantage of double teams and hitting you with double teams at the other end, being appropriately rewarded for creating space or getting a wide open shot...there was good stuff in there, which I found very promising. It feels like the engine has a lot of potential, but key areas are definitely in need of improvement. Sliders to adjust gameplay would also go a long way in addressing issues related to frequency (blocks, steals, interceptions, shooting percentages, that sort of thing).

As far as the first screenshot is concerned, as JaoSming mentioned in the latest episode of the Podcast, they're obviously highlighting the faces right now. The expectation is that future screenshots from the more complete game will show off more assets and hopefully other improvements across the board. The first screenshot was all about the new faces, which again are a vast improvement over NBA Live 14. There's still a long way to go and many improvements NBA Live 15 must make over last year's release, but as far as early glimpses go, they got off to a great start in my opinion.
