I'm not feeling the Paul George pic, he doesn't scream with his head up like that lol. This looks more realistic than 2k14 next gen though.

There's something a little off about Harden, but on the whole, very impressive; a huge jump from NBA Live 14.

I think Harden looks fine. Now I'm more curious about the facial expressions on how they would actually look on the players, if it fits. Can't wait to see it in action

Absolutely. Much to learn, much to prove, but that's a really strong start to NBA Live 15's preview season.

Aaaand I'm buying Live. I don't think I'll buy 2k unless they fix their god damn servers.

Yeah, I'm gonna stick to my guns and say there's been a little improvement there.

Obviously better, almost anything would've been. Jerseys on the other hand, they said they scanned them too, but they still look glued to the players bodies. Still not as photo realistic as 2K, not that 2k is perfect, but just for comparisons sake. Again, just going off the screenshot, maybe it will look better with more pics, but I wish they used the same skin effect as UFC. Now if they can only build a machine to help them scan proper gameplay. :P

That is pretty life like. I can't believe they let Blake Griffin have black hair through the entire Live 14 game cycle.

Curry looks dead, though, with that blank expression. He could be improved as I don't see that kids-face that he has.

Hopefully they look alive when animating.

Graphics are great. Let's see the animations.
The achilles heel of any EA sports game are the horrible robotic animations.

They all look good, yet rather life-less.

Really like the realism I get by looking in Rondo's eyes though.

As a Clipper fan, hat's by far the best Blake Griffin I've ever seen in a basketball videogame, including cyberface mods. Kudos to the NBA Live team, and hopefully with the news that they are porting next-gen FIFA to PC, perhaps NBA Live 16 could make it to the master race as well. Very excited for more developments. Something seems off about Harden, I wonder if he got scanned or if an artist manually sculpted his face model.

Could be the pose. What would ea put him on there if he wasn't scanned?

Well, they are using the same engine. We didn't see the IGNITE engine used to its full potential in NBA Live 14. I would assume there'll be new animations, and responsiveness/fluidity is apparently an area of focus this year.

Light(n)ing is definitely improved, which helps highlight the jersey improvements. colors are better on them and they are less "2K floaty" in Jao's comparison.

Faces are just night and day. Blake's still got that weird Live frowny face that they've been doing but overall they are on-par with the scanned faces from 2K next gen

Paul George scream could be the Lebron animation but obviously they won't highlight Lebron who was on the cover of 2k14

Exactly what I'm looking for this year in Live. Fluidity and responsiveness. A little bit of cleaning up in the animation department also can help this game improve drastically.

I absolutely agree. Occasional lapses aside, there were some very good and promising aspects to NBA Live 14's AI and I'm a fan of the control scheme that they went with, but the control stiffness and animations are an issue and certainly turned a lot of people off the game, to the point where I think some of the genuinely good elements of gameplay (and those with a lot of potential) went unnoticed. Understandable given the valid criticisms of the animations, collisions and stiffness, but polish that up and stamp out some of the AI quirks, and the game's on the right track.

and that's what one of my problems with 2k is. i felt like I was playing in slow motion when trying to change directions. You try to take advantage of mistakes, but the lengthy animations allow the defense to recover.

Getting that middle area is probably the most difficult thing to implement. Remember that past games have actually been dominated by athletic players due to their speed, dunk and jump ability and the ability to respond quickly.

Blake looks the best by far out of these. Harden's beard looks like a Christmas tree. Bad angle on Curry. George, I can't say. Emotionless fits Rondo, but a reoccurring thing is the hair looking too glass-cut sharp. I like these. Blake and Rondo are the only one's I'd pick over the oppositions last iteration though.
