I believed Leftos once when he said in a thread prior to next gen 2k14's release that we should expect much more than just a simple graphics update for next gen version of the game..... but turns out it basically WAS just a graphics update (although a great one), BUT everything else remained virtually the same gameplay wise.
Locomotion was an absolute lie, player physics were still almost identical to before, they improved it a tiny bit but the same old foot planting player momentum issues are there from before, and same issue with players speeds and quickness's not mattering whatsoever were there, among a host of other movement related problems..... basically the still same old canimations we been dealing with for years, and I think that's what we were all hoping to have changed because it's the cause of the biggest issues the game faces and with the new power they have to work with on the new consoles, they have no more excuses not to rebuild the game from the ground up, and give up the Sega Dreamcast era game engine they've been using for all this time now

anyway fool me twice right....

the only thing that makes me interested in this game for next year is the PC version, and that's why I'm posting in this thread, just like you guys I hope it gets done, but let's be realistic, someone needs to pull out the sale statistics of Steam version of NBA 2K14 so we could really see how many copies the PC version sold. Because I guarantee there's a bunch of suits in the 2K offices sitting around a table looking at those same numbers for this same reason, seeing about a chance it actually does get released for PC

I thought the hold/cold streaks for ball handling and defense, on top of the personality modifiers, on top of the points of emphasis put the next gen game on a whole different level than current gen. They are implemented subtlely, except for cold streaks, but I miss those a lot when playing the PC version. Movement and such though, yea, its a 2K basketball game, IMO its just part of that.

oh yea definitely the game plays noticeably better than the non next gen version, but I know now, and I think we all should that the whole "Ecomotion" jibber jabber was just 2K's attempt to keep up with EA's "Ignite"
Disappointing, borderline depressive depending on how big a fan you are of video game basketball, lol, but neither game delivered a new engine and just reused the saaaaaaaaaame old one they been using for years...

While we on that note as well, now that the dust has settled we are really starting to see more of these non sports title games come out for these next gen consoles Xbox1 and PS4, and none of them are even running at a legitimate 1080p @ 60fps, this was damn near a promise made to us by both companies, and all these games coming out no point in listing them yall already know, at best are running at 900p and 30fps.... I mean we got businessed 101'nd again..... it feels real good being a PC gamer because we retain some control over the game in a way at least, as opposed to consoles what you get is what it is

Im rather sceptical about next gen for pc this year. Whats more, im close to be sure that 2k15 will be not released for pc. Hope 2k will back on track with 2k16 on pc with the same version for pc and consoles.

I'm still expecting that there'll be a PC release until we hear otherwise; however, I'm also expecting it to be a port of the 360/PS3 version, until we hear any differently.

well if its just a 360 port I doubt many on the NLSC would buy it

Like this past year? If they do a PC port of the current gen consoles, Gamers who own both will opt for the PC version. It will also continue to be pirated to hell, and probably won't receive any game updates. I think 2K15 might be the last year this game gets a PC port at all.

I'm guessing PC gamers would prefer a new game with minimal updates/new assets to mod and work with, as opposed to no game at all.

And that's a shame. People will buy it and developers will think they can release yearly with minimal updates.

Although, it remains to be seen as this is 2k's first console change while having the pc as a platform.

this past year next-gen consoles weren't out when this game came out. also this game had significant improvements gameplay-wise over 2k13. I doubt they would try and do that again for next-year, and next-year all the next-gen consoles will already be out by the time this is released.

that's what I implied by my "not many on nlsc would BUY it" statement

OK leftos so now that PC has been confirmed I have only one request from you, typically I order my PC 2-3 months before
the games comes out, with that being said it has also been addressed that is will be a whopping $60.00 for the PC version,
my request is that if there is anyway you could let us know if the PC version will have NextGen graphics, I only ask for this because
with a price tag like that I am not sure if I really want to buy the PC version at that cost, I am assuming two reasons for this price.

1.2K is bringing the price up because they don't make enough money off the PC version
but they know the following is huge and they want to continue making the PC version which could be
a reason why they are raising the price tag.

2.They are raising the price because they are making it a NextGen game for PC...either way if you could let us all know
a few months in advance that would be great I just don't see my self spending $60.00 for a game without them importing these features,
anyways all the best to you and your family I look forward to hearing from you sometime down the road (Y)
