Just do two teams of the starters, Make the jerseys and the Arena with higher res to see how it looks. :D

Edit: Since you can have as many vertices in a iff does that mean we can double the vertices of a face in blender maybe even the body?

Custom model editing isn't supported yet, but it would be possible if we understood the format enough to duplicate some points, since we can export parts and import them with different sizes. So no, but its complicatedly possible

This looks awesome. Can we edit/extract anything other than models and textures? Like shaders or animations, or menus and overlays?

Yea, text editing and animation editing should be possible. Listen to the latest NLSC podcast, Jao talked about this whole thing.

It is an iff file, just like all the others we've been sharing for years, just with higher resolution textures or an additional stadium :P

R4zoR sent me a 1024x1024 tattoo texture for testing purposes

There is still going to be a licensing system afaik. But it will be like the current RED MC stuff, where the maker pays to make the files but anyone can load and use them.

The only thing truly editable is the textures, other than that this is only taking the different parts of the file and letting me export/import them as a whole. No idea where the shaders are, but if we find them they would need to be hex edited. Animations are the same thing, can be exported and imported, but we dont know how to edit them yet. I still need to test if the game allows for replacing animations, so taking the honey dip and replacing another dunk. I have no idea how menus are laid out, and overlays are the same thing, they would still need to be hex edited.

as far as I know, every texture. Vlad is still working on stuff, so I dont want to completely confirm anything just yet, but yea :cool:

2K11 Blacktop, Practice, Under Armour, and Attack Athletics with crowds will all get released by me when the tool is released. Then of course, this is going to give me so much more flexibility when making my own courts.

the last arena looks amazing and blew me away...

I'm new to modding 2k14,2k13 , can someone explain to me why being able to edit iff will allow us to import textures in a higher definition???

and what prevents us from doing it originally??

does it also mean we can import headshapes from the past???

well the iff is like a zip file with textures, models, additional zip files, and other data within it. Every "thing" inside of it is its own file, or part of the file. So iff files simply have the textures within them, which means if we edit them, well, that what gets edited.

There is information in the iff file header that says where in the file each part starts and how big it is. All this information is shown in the 2kX tool but neither that tool or the 3DM tool allowed for changes in filesize. Mostly because its easier to do 1 to 1 replacing. At the same time, recalculating all those offsets is a huge pain, which is why nobody before Vlad has really taken it on aside from Erix. There may be more to it than that, but that is the jist of it.

iff files 2k11 and before have a slightly different structure and compression technique, I think. Either way, the tool won't support the older files at release, but I am pressing Vlad to try and support them sometime after release (and hopefully 2k10's street courts will convert nicely).

Stress test seemed to come back positive. In game I had no noticeable difference in FPS, but I did notice the game take an extra second to load players into the home screen and team select.

2 Uniforms at 8192x4096 for both the shorts and tops
2 logos at 8192x8192
Crowd at 8192x8192
3 Faces at 8192x8192 (including Anthony Davis and Rondo, the two that load into the menus first)

So while I'm sure we could affect gameplay with too too many HD updates, it definitely isn't as bad as Live 07/08 since I threw 10 textures all over 80mb in size at the game with little consequence. My rig is an i7 3770K, 8gig RAM, GTX 560 Ti.

this is awesome..so editing all the texture files in the global.iff file is possible now jao?can you show some preview if you change the resolution the sizes of the specular_map or cube maps in the global files?

also if its possible from moving files to another can u try like import the the model of last years tight jersey by bliss to the model with cloth physics.maybe that can be done.sorry for my bad english.

First of all i love all your street mod specially back in 213 that we can able to play mycareer into street not the stadium courts. having said that can you do that again using that courts the last photo, it would be great if you do that for me.
