Association Team Choice

Tue Apr 23, 2013 12:44 pm

Hi All
When I first started playing NBA 2K13, all I did was play MyCareer. However, recently I have been wanting to start an association and every time I try I get bored of the team, or players and stop, begin a new one, and the cycle starts all over again :D Anyone got any ideas for a team I can choose? I want this team to be
-Young (so I can build for the long term)
-Mediocre (If the team is too good, Association is no fun, and if they are too bad, with no good players or trade pieces, Association becomes too hard)
The team doesn't have to be like in the middle, but as long as they have a star, it's ok
-Only ONE star player. (I like to build around one player and draft talent to form a duo or trio)
-Offence orientated (I find offensive oriented teams SO much more fun)
-Good trade pieces (I tried to start an association with the Magic and it was just to hard. Hedo's got a HUGE contract, and no-one wants him, Jameer Nelson has passed his prime, and I don't like Aron Afflalo.)

Also, if no team fits my criteria, just say so. I might try a fantasy draft.

Clippers in year 2 (goodluck with CP3, NEVER see him resign)
Raptors (since they don't have any defence, so it's an offence team  )

The Pacers? You could probably trade Granger for some offensive players, although his contract might be troublesome. Paul George is taking over the team. They don't fit the criteria because they are a good team but whatever.

The Wizards are young with one good player in Wall but I'm not sure of them being an offensive team.

The Kings are also a young team but the defense could be a problem. They have a lot of good trade pieces with a franchise player in Cousins(you don't have to worry about his attitude so that's a positive).

Going by a homer pick the Mavericks. Have one star(could become a second banana if you choose to), was mediocre a season a go and have a shit ton of cap space. Not a lot of trade pieces though.

Pick the Bobcats, Build around Walker he's a great player with a lot of potencial. You've got MKG too to help him.
In my first season as 'GM' I traded Mullens, Henderson and Sessions for Hornets 1st round pick and ended up being the 1st overall selection.
I picked a 6'8 SF who's a beast.

And MKG? And BTW, it's Bobcats #1 pick or Hornets #1 pick?

Michael Kidd Gilchrist,
He's a good at the post if he faces up shoots hooks. And on the run, if his lane is open he finishes strong. On defense and rebounds is a monster.
It was #1 from Hornets. Henderson, Mullens and Session were great back ups, Im still undecided if it was the better move or not.

Then don't play. There's just 30 team out there and with all those suggest you can't still pick your team then there's no team fit with you.

I actually started a Pistons Association where I drafted Nerlens Noel and traded for Shabazz and Otto Poter.
