The Thunder finishes the Preseason with the record of 6-1, with the loss coming from the Western Powerhouse Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center, California. We saw great strides and potential for the three Thunder rookies Alex Len of Maryland, Marcus Smart of the Oklahoma State University and Mason Plumlee of Duke University. Expect some action with them during the season. Free Agent acquired J.J. Redick and Dominic McGuire impacted the roster immediately by providing bench scoring and defensive lockdown respectively.
RUMOR: Thunder puts Nick Collison, Perry Jones and Hasheem Thabeet to the block.

Player of the Game: Kevin Durant (35 PTS, 5 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL and 3 BLK)
CHESAPEAKE ENERGY ARENA - Rugged and defensive. That was the game tonight. Kevin Durant scored 10 of his 35 points during a 5-minute span at the last minutes of the game. He took over after Memphis Guard Jerryd Bayless tied the game at 90 with six minutes left. Serge Ibaka had a disappointing night, finishing with 4 points and 11 rebounds. Russell Westbrook had 16 points on 6-of-14, 5 rebounds and 8 assists.
Reggie Jackson became the spark of the offense after Westbrook sat out after getting two early fouls in the opening quarter. The third-year point guard scored 15 points on 6 shots and nabbed 5 rebounds while dishing out 4 assists in 16 minutes of action. The rookies played random minutes during the second quarter, but were clearly overplayed due to their lack of experience in the NBA land.
Alex Len had 6 points and 2 rebounds, Mason Plumlee had 3 points, and Marcus Smart had 2 points.Photos: ![]()

Thunder go 4-0 on Week 2
OKC: | 30 | 33 | 28 | 30 | 121
UTA: | 16 | 17 | 25 | 27 | 85
Starting things off at home, Sunday against the Utah Jazz, the Thunder easily dominated the now-Paul Millsap-less Jazz, who was traded to the Timberwolves before the season. Kevin Durant had 29 points on 10 shots, while grabbing 12 rebounds. Westbrook was spectacular by scoring 37 points, dominating both sides of the floor with 2 steals. What's amazing is that the Thunder had a season-low 6 turnovers for the whole game. The ball movement was great and everybody was involved in the offense.
OKC: | 33 | 25 | 26 | 25 | 109
IND: | 15 | 19 | 28 | 22 | 84
Again, the Thunder had dominated struggling playoff team. Kevin Durant hit 10 of his 21 shots, nabbing 27 points and 11 rebounds. His second consecutive double-double for the season. Not much can be said around here.
OKC: | 23 | 19 | 28 | 20 | 90
PHX: | 24 | 24 | 27 | 14 | 89
This match was clearly unexpected. Serge Ibaka was the contributor to the floor and scored 7 of his team-high 20 points during the fourth quarter and made the bank shot on the left wing with 1:35 left to seal the game at 90-89. Phoenix then would go scoreless in those final seconds due to the hustle and defensive mentality of the Thunder.
OKC: | 27 | 21 | 21 | 24 | 93
SEA: | 27 | 17 | 16 | 24 | 84
Nostalgia after a bunch of long seasons. The Oklahoma City Thunder was heavily booed on the floor. Kevin Durant shot 8-of-20. Westbrook had a team-high 21 points on 13 shots. Rookie Alex Len stepped up and had 10 points and 2 rebounds, while Serge had the same number of points, but grabbed 7 more rebounds. And nearly half of those were offensive rebounds which created second chance points.
RECAP:
It has certainly been thrilling to see the Thunder go 6-0 during the early season, but we have seen spurts of the Thunder struggling, mostly on the road. Maybe they're bored? Or they just got fatigued?

Thunder win tough in Portland
GAME RECAP | GAME STORY |TEAM STATS
Player of the Game: Kevin Durant (38 PTS, 4 REB, 4 AST adn 3 BLK)
Dominance. Block here. Block there. Block everywhere. Dunk here. Dunk there. And it goes on and on and on. The Thunder never stopped to look back and got it rolling during the fourth, going on an early 20-7 run to take over the game. There were some instances that the Thunder look lost, but was immediately taken away by the scoring prowess of Kevin Durant, who scored 10 of his 38 during the fourth.
Westbrook also scored 27 and dished out 10 assists, despite LaMarcus Aldridge's explosion of 22 points on 10-15 shooting and 10 rebounds. Serge Ibaka also spurted and started grabbing every rebound, hounding it like a fully grown pit bull.He scored 12 points and nabbed a season-high 17 rebounds.Photos: ![]()

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA - The Thunder dug a hole and got through. After letting the Warriors get an 8-0 run during the end of the first, the Thunder found themselves in an abyssal 39% from the floor. The Thunder struggled mightily on the offensive end, but came back during the fourth, where they lit up the Warriors for 29 points and limited them to 18 points on 7-20 shooting. They had lived from the free throw line, hitting 24 of their 25 attempts. Oklahoma City also turned it around by attempting only 89 shots and making 44, and scoring over a hundred points.Photos: ![]()

Thunder wins through a rally in the 4th
GAME RECAP | GAME STORY | TEAM STATS
Player of the Game: Kevin Durant (32 PTS, 11 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL and 1 BLK)
The Denver Nuggets just watched as their lead crumble and bit by bit getting destroyed by the Thunder's Kevin Durant, who scored 14 straight points during the fourth quarter in the final minutes of the game. The go-ahead three-pointer with 20 seconds left on the clock sealed the game, as the Nuggets couldn't get their final shot attempt to go with 8 seconds left.
The Thunder Forward scored 32 points on 13 shots. Meanwhile, Westbrook the sidekick was all over the floor, finishing with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists and 3 steals. Serge Ibaka had a season-high 20 points on 10 shots and nabbed his usual 8 rebounds and 2 assists. JJ Redick was again a no show, scoring 4 points and grabbing 1 rebound.Photos: ![]()
