I can't agree. NBA 2K11 was a great game but I'll take NBA 2K13's controls over NBA 2K11's clunky Isomotion any day.

lol yea the isomotin was horrible but 2k13 controls is from the suppose to be Elite 11 so i cant really give them credit for it since

They're more like NBA Live 10 and earlier iterations of freestyle dribbling controls, but in any event that doesn't really matter. If it works, it works. I'm glad they adopted right stick dribbling controls.

I'm not the thing i like about buying both games every year is not feeling like i bought the same exact game twice but with different names i hate when 2k takes so many things from another game and not be original because are they really 2k or are they a spin off of all the games put together

Fair enough. For my part, if it's a good idea, I'd rather both games adopt it. They're always going to have their other strengths and weaknesses, their own approach to other aspects of the game.

okay lets say this then, would you like it if another football came out and you bought both and Madden and this other game was similar to the point you gotta argue about which graphics are better or he elevates the best hit stick or would be willing to say oh this game lets say nlsc football 2014 has its own form of tackling or jukes and moves and madden still has its own things to

I wouldn't care, as I don't follow the NFL.

Seriously though, I imagine each game would do something different in terms of online play or offline game modes. Even if all other things were equal, I'd just play the game that I felt implemented the concept better and I enjoyed the most.

What do you care about?
The gameplay of normal games? 2K13 wins, they've successfully done some solid work there. I'd argue it overall plays better than most any of the PC available titles. (2K9-13)
My Player? Play 2K12 probably for the rest of your life.
Who "first did something"? Go fuck yourself. Why even give a shit about this. Oh, well, Atari was the first to do a basketball game and...nobody sane gives a shit. Taking the best parts from OTHERS and incorporating them into your work is FANTASTIC. This is what developing society and wealth is all about.
And it's not like you have a choice. EA decided to not show up the last three years.
Also, I love getting every game because I'm a nutjob. You would have hated the Playstation days. ShootOut 97 had the gameplay, In The Zone 2 had the presentation and fun, Live 97 had the features.

Look people need to realize that
A: NBA 2K had the dribble controls on the right stick way back in like 2K5 in the early yrs of introducing isomotion. I know this because it was the last 2K game for the last generation of games I purchased and I loved that game because of the control scheme and custom music on the Xbox
B. Since then, 2K has been changing up their isomotion controls but the changes were mainly for the sake of making it look like they introduced all these new control features when in reality they just added a little here and there and changed them around. You can tell because even when they introduced the "shot stick" you could always change the control layout to use the stick for dribbling.
All these branded control mechanisms that they spout about every year is a bunch of hype to try and give the new games a "fresh" feel.

I don't believe that, but I know what you are saying. The game looks almost the same every year, because they have probably utilized everything they can utilize in terms of resources on the 360, or what their engine can handle. 2K has continued to experiment with finding the right mix of controls to allow users to control all of their deep set of animations. Users have complained for years about the control of 2K bball games, and moving the dribbling controls to the right stick was a step in the right direction. The next step is to enhance the responsiveness of it.
