Rockets trade for Thomas Robinson
The Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings have agreed on a deal centered around the #5 overall pick Thomas Robinson.
Robinson, alongisde Fransisco Garcia and Tyler Honeycutt will go to Houston in exchange for Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas and Cole Aldrich.
The deal should be completed by this afternoon, so the new players for the Rockets are expected in uniform as they take on the Thunder.
Robinson is expected to crack the starting line-up, while the playing time for Garcia and Honeycutt will be limited.
Celtics trade for Crawford
The Washington Wizards have agreed to trade sixth man Jordan Crawford to the Celtics for seldom-used rookie center Fab Melo.
Crawford's value to the Wizards has decreased with the addition of Bradley Beal.
Redick headlines 6-player Bucks-Magic deal.
With the Magic going into full tanking mode in hopes of drafting Nerlens Noel, Cody Zeller or Shabazz Muhammed, they have traded guard JJ Redick with PG Ish Smith and F Gustavo Ayon to the Bucks for guards Doron Lamb and Beno Udrih and F Tobias Harris.
The Magic feared they couldn't sign Redick to a long-term deal during the summer. Rumors circulated, that Redick could ask up to 10M annually.
Rockets re-sign Shaun Livingston
Following the trade to acquire Thomas Robinson, the Rockets have signed PG Shaun Livingston for the rest of the season.
The trade sent Toney Douglas to Sacramento, leaving the back-up PG vulnerable for the Rockets, as rookie Scott Machado hasn't played all year. Livingston spent the pre-season with the Rockets, where he averaged 2.5 points and 3.3 assists in 4 appearances.
The Rockets also worked out veterans like Allen Iverson, Mike James and Delonte West.
To make room for the signing, the Rockets have placed G Daequan Cook on the waiver list.
