Talk about NBA 2K13 here.

The huge uniforms are finally getting to me this year. Anyone up to editing the various cloth files to change the static (non-moving) jerseys to be realistic?
Didn't someone do that last year or the year before?

Would be awesome to get them tight, possibly even at the expense of movement.

well he sent me the file. unfortunately it wasn't a 1:1 conversion and will take some effort to convert, but the baggy uniforms have just annoyed me for too long

thought i was the only one, i mean why make a heavy
RIPPED player and give him a jersey for a fat guy? it just looks awkward

Ever notice when you increase or decrease the weight of a player, the only thing that changes is the jersey size? If you could get the jersey size tighter, AND make the bodies actually look different, that would be awesome.

dont the arms get bigger? or is that just shit I'm just seeing....
either way, its all 1 model, so probably not.

As far as I know, the arms and the body gets bigger/smaller only after you save the changes of the player. Only the jersey size changes realtime.

Hey Jao did you ever get it to convert successfully?
Sun Mar 31, 2013 7:59 pm
unfortunately no. It looks like it will need to be redone.

Funny, for the past couple days I've been watching the best YouTube tutorials on modding 2K13 I could find for this very purpose, to make proper fitting jerseys for my Knicks!
To my surprise all the videos were by a guy named JaoSming (Thank you sir

)
and today I come across this thread, days after registering on NLSC. I say it's perfect timing.
I'm very new to the modding scene but I'm definitely trying to learn how to mod the meshes/textures, specifically how to make tighter jerseys (the shorts can be left as is IMHO).
I'd love to work on this project
As I see it only the meshes for the current NBA teams need to be changed, and I think Pdub brought up an excellent point about the changing jersey size when changing the weight. I used to change the weight of the several players in past 2K games for exhibition games (on console), and with 2K13 being my 1st 2K game for PC I noticed the arms/body only changes after saving the changes but the jersey changes real time.
Is there a way to just replicate the mesh for the smallest jersey to the other weight classes? We could start there...

export the skinny jersey model and import it over the normal, ripped, and fat ones.
cloth_u, v, wishbone, etc are the files you want to edit. You can ignore the ones that say fat/skinny/etc in the file name.
and I'm glad the tutorials helped

Alright cool I'll start there, I'm still getting my setup straight, so expect some questions from me cuz i'm a total noob

how about edit the unform model in blender, try to make it smaller from default size. Will that work?
Tue Apr 02, 2013 4:41 pm
I've tried that and it didn't work for some reason.

did you try the crazy cloth one, or the static one

I have no idea because I didn't realize they were any different as far as the models.

What exactly do you mean by "it didn't work"? Can you give more details?
Did the changes not export properly? Were the animations off?

Nothing changed, but I think what Jaosming said is correct. I was trying to get tighter moving jerseys, but he is talking about the static/non-moving jerseys.
