Kobe with more assists then FG attempts, the formula for winning.

lol. When I saw it live I couldnt help but just chuckle. Matthews is a pretty good defender and he just left him in the dust.

Dirk moved 18th all time on the scoring list and no mention of it? HATERS!

Like a lot of things in his career, it's something that Dirk achieved very quietly. Historically speaking, he's probably still a tad underrated.

I have love for players like Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Piece, and Kobe Bryant. They played for one team their whole career through thick and thin like Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas, etc. I think that is part of the formula for success in the NBA, even if you don't win a championship.

I don't. It's just easier to remain on a single team when you are a superstar player who can either play at very high level or bring in the crowd, or both. It has little to do with loyalty and personality, a lot less than circumstances offered to the player. Players like Nash I think can be extremely loyal but they weren't really offered same level of chances as Wade or Kobe. And most players aren't franchise player which makes extremely difficult for them to remain on a single team for entire career.

Wasn't LeBron James a franchise player?

Nash was offered plenty. When the small and quick lineup Phoenix couldn't get to the finals past the size of San Antonio or Dallas, they tried to get Shaq hoping it would give them the edge. Nash is a poor example.

I just think it's great for players to stick it out with one team for their career.

Just saying, only selected handful of players have it easier and are granted with a privilege to do so. And especially on a big market team that want you, it often makes their decision much easier.

Indeed, only a handful of players can claim it. That's what makes it special.

Oh wait, the Suns came pretty short of going to the finals and win it all against the Cavaliers in 2007. The Suns management did a good job for two or three years before doing silly moves like giving away Joe Johnson etc. They still were a good team and could have made if it wasnt for silly league suspensions and injuries.

Staying with a team is not a privilege at all (only that you have to be valuable enough). Pierce could have left as the Celtics were heading nowhere in his first nine years. After the 2006 Finals, no one thought the Mavs would ever come back. Whoever says he had known before that bringing in Tyson Chandler would change this team so dramatically is lying. Chandler had never been more than a mediocre player before coming to the Mavs. Dirk could have easily said "this franchise has no plan, no stars, I leave."

And looking at your avatar, this guy is also a perfect example. The Heat were heading nowhere after their first championship. Wade could have gone to Chicago after two horrible seasons.

So it also is something about being loyal if you ask me. Nash is maybe a bad example because he is still playing despite his age. At the age of 38 I understand that you don't want to ruin your body for nothing and thus join a better team. Further he has nothing to lose with loyalty since he already played for two different teams as the Mavs did not want to retain him. After that he stayed pretty loyal with Phoenix over the last two seasons.

A lot of people forget how close the Celtics came to trading him multiple times.

Well, except for anyone who saw Chandler be awesome for the Hornets. And also saw Dampier/Diop be so valuable in the role despite being inferior.

First of all, the Suns weren't Nash's first team. The point was he didn't have much choice to stay with one team unlike Dirk, Kobe, and Wade. He could be extremely loyal but he didn't have a choice but to move around.

And what the hell does my sig gotta do with this case, hova. Does my Heat logo bother you so much? That Wade being a not so loyal asshole? That I couldn't careless if he did or not. I was saying staying with one team doesn't really affect my love for players because a lot of it have to do with situational factors.

Andre has a double-double in 10 minutes and change, ends up going 18 and 18 in 28 minutes. Pistons lose by 27. Yeah.

I don't get Knight's participation, but Drummond fully deserved it.

Don't lose the hope buddy. Only 4 games apart from 8th seed.

One ugly issue is Dwight's shoulder though. The kid's a mess!
