What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

Hi Slimm, got one request, i know u are busy man with editing but can u help me understand your coaching profile sets? I want to implement your coaching profiles into my retro roster for a better gameplay. I set three "0" crashboarding, fastbreaks and runplays, but whats more u suggest? Please suggest me smth in free time. thx in advance.

The first post has been updated with new Coaching Profiles. They have not changed in the roster but the document needed to be updated.

My methods were:

Pace = Offensive Tempo
I like the threshold of 60 being the lowest and 80 being the highest.
I used the 60-65-70-75-80 tiered system.
For example, the Suns are statistically in the middle of the league for Pace, so they got a 70. The Rockets are at the top, so they got an 80. The Jazz are in between them, so they got a 75.

The same tiered system was used for:

Defensive RTG = Defensive Pressure
Scale of 40-45-50-55-60
I have considered changing this to 30-35-40-45-50, but I'm satisfied with it so far.

Points in the Paint given up = Help D
The higher the amount of points given up in the paint, the lower the rating
80-85-90-95-100

Any word on a draft class? Also, what are the looks on the game sliders because you stated earlier you haven't been playing much. Lastly, are most portraits compatible with these rosters?

Waiting for an update, I been around for a couple of yrs, and I must say that slimm44 you have the best playing roster I have ever used, gameplay is unmatched!

Yeah can you add Patrick Beverly to your roster? He's the only player missing that I can see.

Skoadam i can kind of see slimms logic with game speed at 68. i cant speak for him but with the game speed upped you see a lot better dribble animations when driving to the basket while being guarded up close. The player doesnt pause as much when crossing over to dribble. Dribble animations are alot more fluid like 2k11 and 2k12

yes i understand but 68? cmon it must be mistake. 50 is most accurate. look how they move when u press sprint, its unreal in every aspect beside dribling animation.

I posted this in the 'Sliders' thread, but am hoping one of you might still have mkharsh33's pre-patch sliders? I'm loving these rosters, and have heard they work great with mkharsh33's set -- but can only find the post-patch ones on the OS website.

personally find gamespeed 47 about perfect, but i have redone the sliders almost entirely as a result, from the base ones provided since game speed at that setting seemed everyone was on tweak on the court, reguardless of better animations at higher speeds i find the more realistic tempo of play to my personal liking.

getting close tho, 3 pt tendencies seem out of wack entirely and not been able to get teams to shoot the 3 enough compared to their norms, but shooting percentage is about there, rebounds seem a tad low probably because i need to get them taking 3s at 20-40%, and mid range % might need to drop a tad.

watching teams run plays i not noticed any overall play favoring by the cpu, enough players on team seem to get the ball and get a good distribution of plays, but i not got play read on this is just watching the games and impressions of how things looked.

most of my time is spent in myplayer or mycareer or watching games in vs mode with the cpu running both teams. and using your roster in mycareer with sliders seems to work pretty well .

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been around. Here's an update on why I haven't been around for a while that I just posted on OS.

I am not able to edit anything at this time and am certain that I won't be able to do anymore work on 2k13.

I may be losing my job (I'm a marriage and family therapist) due to Managed Care Organizations (who control the Medicaid budget in the state I work) not reimbursing my company for services we have already provided. They owe us over $600,000, which is roughly 4 months worth of payroll as they don't have to pay us for 90 days after a service is billed and they only have to pay .01% interest for any services they haven't reimbursed us for that are more than 90 days old. These were contractual provisions that were agreed upon between the MCO's and my state when they agreed upon a contract around a year and a half ago.

I am not getting paid this month and am in a position where I may lose my home and have to move to a different city/region to find employment. I have to figure out what I'm going to do for my wife, our two kids, and our third child who is due in September.

If you pray, please do so for me and my family. I believe something good will come out of this but we need as much support as we can get.

geez bro your story is almost similar to mine, so i really know what you can feel right now. Earlier when i was younger,no kids, no familly there was no problem, but now its not so easy when we must care of wife&kids. Hope u can find job fast, take care bro.

ps. i know its not important for you in this situation but for me personally u bring biggest impact in reality gameplay of 2k13- thanks for that.
