Oh yeah. Yeah, I KNOW. Hasn't been pretty, which makes it even more satisfying to know you've made so much progress and decoded so much. Can't wait to get my hands on REDitor, make NBA Stats Tracker compatible, and create all the tools I create each year using REDitor.

It's been a teaching experience. I've learned a lot from a reverse engineering and programming standpoint, but most of all, I've learned that I can't do everything. So I'll be glad to throw you my money again this year Vlad, and work on what I do best to complete the editing experience, just like I did with 2K12.

Can't wait. Again, congrats on a job well-done. I can only imagine what a pain in the ass it must've been to work with 2K13's rosters, and the lack of byte-alignment.

EDIT: I've given you my own suggestions during the early stages of planning this year's REDitor, but just as a summary, even though I could absolutely work with the CSV files like last year, I would really prefer it to create some tools that would work right inside REDitor at some point. I mean, the Roster Repair tools of Roster Merge should be REDitor functionality, if you ask me. Even merging rosters could be easily doable in REDitor. If you want to discuss more about a potential API, hit me up.

Also, make sure to check my PM about a bug in the Import/Export feature of 2K12's REDitor.

EDIT 2: Here's a MyCareer file: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?1mjj8a7fkoe7014

Hey Vlad, I was wondering if while making your roster if there was anyway you could add a shoe tab that allows for different shoe colors for regular season and playoffs? Some teams use the whole white/black alternate for the regular season, but then when they go to playoffs they do black shoes for home and away. If we could put that in the game it would be awesome!

Thanks!

Vlad, is it possible to make your player a Star vs just a Starter? Also, it seems the same bug is in 2K13 as the past few years in regards to the All Star Game in My Career mode. Even though you have the most votes to be a starter in the All Star game it always changes you to the last person on the roster which makes it to where you get very little playing time. If this can be edited it would be great.

Vlad,
Hi, I was reading your latest post on red-mods blog spot and noticed that you stated to drop ny idea's we had in this thread on NLSC, I'm a xbox 360 user, using leftos' roster editor and from what I understand it is a relevant editor yet small to your tool, I was wondering will reditor have the option. In the players tab have a editable color tab locked. shoes, like lebron 9's, Kd 4's kobe 6's/7's and various Jordan and nike classics.
Just wondering if this was possible, or could it some how be implemented before the new reditor is released.

I see your have troubles with adding players, just go into the roster with leftos tool editor and change the 0's to 4's for how many players you need to add to the roster and put those chosen ID # to free agents and edit and add your correct names this should help you out some but still limited, until REDitor comes out. try this out!

without REDitor right now it is just the open ID # slots from 910 thru 1074 (0 = the slots for cloned players) & 1075 thru 1328 (4 = the slots for created players) use Leftos tool and it will show you.

Hey Vlad,
could it be possible that there are hidden variables tied to play calling? The "run best play" option the AI uses so poorly has to be based on the game evaluating players based on certain values. Have you any idea how this works? The same with touches in general, I just can't get the game to recognize touches with fantasy rosters and association teams with generated players. The system is useless. Could there be anything we can edit to improve this or is it too deep into game coding?
You've listed this on your blog: "TSC_FirstScoringOption_PlayerID" and "TType"...is this related to the sim control only or could it affect real gameplay, too?

Well duh. Why would he release REDitor if 2K13 was already out? Then he would just work on REDitor for 2K14.

The firs Reditor was released 20 days after NBA 2k10 release. REDitor for NBA 2K11 was released the last day of 2010, 87 days after NBA 2K11 release. Finally, REDitor for 2k12 was released 99 days after NBA 2K12. So, according to MS Excel, the likely release for 2K13 reditor is on February 26.

BTW, thats what's happen when you don't feel in the mood to study.

Good prognosis, but i think, 26th is a bit too early. )) I bet, though, 2K14 Editor will be released much earlier... well, unless they drastically change everything. 2K13 Editor development just has several new techniques involved, which need some extra time to get adopted. Plus, i'm graduating from my college this summer. So, these are the reasons. :(

The Blog has been updated.

A public beta would be great. The only thing we all really need right now is be able to change names. But I know that a lot of modders are waiting for all the great changes that can be done with REDitor. Hope you can keep developing without having much troubles.

Cheers.
