Oh wow, these losses have to be tough. Good to see Wall and Beal performing though. Have you thought of a lineup change?

The fourth pick at least and plenty of cap space. Could be worse. ;)

It could only be worse if Wall and Beal got injured for the season. Sure it's interesting. It's also a huge test on my patience and restraint from breaking things.

SuperHueyNewton wrote:Oh wow, these losses have to be tough. Good to see Wall and Beal performing though. Have you thought of a lineup change?

You mean a trade or just switching my rotations around? I had Redd starting at SF, but now Maggette is here and he's a much better scoring threat. My biggest problem is probably rebounding. I think only Seraphin has managed to grab 10 in a game so far this season.

Andrew wrote:The fourth pick at least and plenty of cap space. Could be worse. ;)

I'll be really annoyed if I only win a handful of games and then miss out on at least a top 3 pick. :x

Btw, how do I get videos from 2k13 onto youtube? I've got it onto my 2k share thingy, but what do I do now? Live 10 was much easier (Unless I'm just missing something really obvious).

So close there. Definitely admire you for sticking with it through a very rough start.

I believe it's a similar situation where you can upload them to nba-2k.com and download them from there. I must admit I haven't looked into it that much as I'm playing on PC and just always use Fraps.

I hate losing but I kind of feel like if I just simmed the rest of the season I'd be missing out on something. The game would lose some authenticity to me if I wasn't in total control or something like that. So I endure it. :P

I've linked my youtube account to my MyPlayer account in the social accounts tab on the 2k website. But I can't see anyway to even link to a video, let alone download it.

Well top pick would be awesome and it's not that unrealistic at this point, but I'm certainly trying to win every game.

I hope so! Although a punch in the face would be more enjoyable than these games have been so far to be honest. :P Hopefully I can draft an NBA-ready guy next season and pick up some solid free agents. I think with a good off-season (and if I improve my ability on 2k13) I can maybe challenge for eighth seed next season.

Haha you can at least claim you broke a record eh?
Man these games must be a chore, I would just try push on to the next season. Rest assured you will have a few changes to make then which should be a bit more interesting.

EDIT: I just checked your settings. Are you still playing with the default sliders? Perhaps that could be your problem..... Are you also still on 8min quarters?

I have only just started but the ones I am using seem quite good, maybe a tad easy, but that is just going on one game so we will see. I think that would make a difference.

But I also think it may reduce the stats a bit, in the game I played both teams scored just over 100 and I wouldn't say we were playing that slow.

I'd have probably lowered the difficulty a notch and then turned it back up when things started getting too easy again, so once again kudos for sticking with it. Definitely one of the most unusual and unique starts for a story thread.

Gordon looking for a way out of New Orleans

Image

Star New Orleans guard Eric Gordon has finally had enough of playing for the Hornets and has allegedly demanded an immediate trade.
It's no secret that the 23 year old doesn't want to be in New Orleans. He signed a very lucrative offer sheet from the Suns in the summer.
The Hornets then matched the offer, despite him expressing his desire to sign with Phoenix. Now he is forcing the issue with this demand.
Having been secured as part of the Chris Paul with the Clippers, Gordon has major value for the Hornets and they won't give him up cheaply.
It's not a completely terrible situation for the Hornets though. His injury-proneness and monster salary are two big reasons for trading him.
They could secure some valuable draft picks or some youngsters with big potential to place around new franchise centrepiece Anthony Davis.
Getting rid of Gordon would also allow rookie Austin Rivers to gain a starting role, which would help with his development as an NBA player.
Rumours are circulating that a deal could be reached to trade Gordon in the next few days. It will be interesting to see if he gets his wish.

Breaking news: Hornets, Jazz & Wizards agree to three-team trade

Image

Only a day after announcing that he wanted a trade out of New Orleans, Eric Gordon has gotten his wish. He is now a Utah Jazz player.
The complex deal involves nine players and several draft picks. New Orleans decided to cash in on Gordon before his right knee gave out.
They receive solid young center Kevin Seraphin, veterans Samuel Dalembert and Beno Udrih and two first round picks from the Wizards.
Raja Bell and Utah's 2013 first round pick also head to New Orleans. The package will help them rebuild through the draft and free agency.
Utah get the guard they have been looking for in Gordon. He will give them another scoring option alongside Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap.
The Wizards get Derrick Favors and Randy Foye from the Jazz and Roger Mason and Dominic McGuire from the Hornets as part of the deal.

New Orleans may take some criticism for seemingly caving to their player's demand, but they had some good reasons to trade Gordon.
First of which is the fact that he has a history of being injury-prone. The most serious injury has been cartilage damage in his right knee.
It forced him to miss a large chunk of last season due to his rehabilitation. Many experts feel that his knee could hamper him in the future.
Then there is the fact that he just didn't want to be there. He was hurting team chemistry and wasn't putting in 100% every time he played.
Lastly there is his monster $43m contract. With that off their books the Hornets now have some cap room to work with in the off-season.
Could Chris Paul return? Would they be able to pair up Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis in the frontcourt? Both are now possible for them.
Paul returning is probably unlikely, given what happened the first time. A defensive partnership of Howard and Davis would be scary though.
They will have about $23m to spend on free agents. It should easily enough for a max contract player or a couple of all-star calibre players.
The 2014 pick from the Wizards could be a top 5 pick, depending on how quickly Washington can build their squad and improve on the court.
Meanwhile the two 2013 first round picks could be useful if any highly rated prospects are still available in the pick 15-25 region of the draft.
With Gordon now gone, rookie Austin Rivers will now get the opportunity to have a starting role and develop into an impressive NBA player.
They weren't going to get market value for Gordon given his injury record, so this deal is a very nice return for them all things considered.
Sitting in 12th place in the western conference with a 9-13 record, the Hornets may decide to shut down their season to help their rebuild.

Utah have already extended Al Jefferson's contract this season. Now they have made another big move to show their championship intent.
Despite his promising future, Favors was stuck behind Jefferson and Millsap in Utah's rotation. Now they've gotten better without losing much.
With Jefferson, Millsap and Kanter they still have an enviable frontcourt. Favors leaving just means that Jeremy Evans will have to up his game.
The Jazz have been needing a star guard ever since trading away Deron Williams to the Nets. Ironically in a deal that saw them acquire Favors.
Gordon will help them to spread the floor and stop their big men getting double-teamed in the post. His range will really improve their offense.
Utah now has a good balance of youth and experience. Jefferson, Millsap and Mo Williams all provide good leadership and aren't troublemakers.
And the likes of Gordon, Enes Kanter, Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks all secure their long term future and ability to compete for years to come.
The Jazz are currently having a great season. They're third in the western conference with a 16-9 record and look set to go deep in the playoffs.

Washington GM Steve Kerr has taken advantage of Gordon's situation to achieve his own major goal of acquiring a talented young big man.
There were rumours last month that Kerr had contacted the Jazz bout a possible of a trade for Favors, now they have finally acquired him.
He will partner Patrick Patterson in the Wizards frontcourt. With John Wall and Bradley Beal also there, the future is bright in Washington.
It seems that Kerr wants to build the Wizards into a playoff calibre team as quickly as possible and that the 2014 draft was too long to wait.
They still have their own pick and the Rockets pick in the 2013 draft. Both could be high lottery picks and add further talent to their squad.
Drafting a top prospect next season is highly probable as they have started the season with a 0-20 record and should be in line for a top pick.
With the Rockets hovering just below the .500 mark, they could end up with another lottery pick depending on how Houston end the season.
They also have the luxury of significant cap room heading into a free agency period which boasts the likes of Dwight Howard and Chris Paul.
Despite the suddenness of this deal, Favors will be available to play against the Heat in Miami tonight. It's a really big boost for team morale.
Washington currently sit bottom of the eastern conference. They've got the worst record in the league, starting with twenty straight losses.
