RUMOR: Gordon wants out of New Orleans
Hornets G Eric Gordon has reportedly asked for a trade. Gordon originally wanted to be with the Suns, but since he's a restricted FA last year, the Hornets matched the Suns' offer that brought him back to New Orleans for 4 years with the 4th being his option to whether opt in or out. Now, he wants out of New Orleans with Indiana a possible destination. Indiana would send G/F Paul George and C Roy Hibbert for Eric Gordon and their '14 1st round pick. It would be a very good trade for both sides, but the Hornets GM says it is unlikely, but it has a slim chance to happen as he wants Gordon and Davis to build around for the future.
"The trade could happen, but its chances of happening very slim. A Dwight three is more likely to happen than this. But I consider this trade, I might execute this trade if he [Gordon] continues to slump for the month," Nambayan said, "As you can see, Davis has to carry the scoring load for the Hornets and he's got no support for it when Gordon can't find the net. Gordon seemed to struggle with his height and good perimeter defenders like Kobe and Tony Allen the last two games. And tomorrow, we're facing the Heat and Wade's guarding him."
Hornets land 5-time champion D-Fish
The Hornets have claimed NBA vet and 5-time NBA Champion, Derek Fisher off the free agent pool, contract worth 720K for a year. Fisher stated he wanted to help the Hornets build and strengthen its chemistry since it's one of their problems off the court, and the Hornets needed leadership and a decent backup point guard for the inconsistent Jonny Flynn. Also, Fisher announced that he will leave the game of basketball at the end of the season.
"I had a great career, winning championships and all. But this is it for me, after this season, I'm gonna walk away from the game of basketball with my head held up high." Fisher stated, "This is a nice young team and I'm here to teach them and lead them. Nambayan spoke to me earlier and he said there will be a big move he'll do after this and I can't tell you right now."

BREAKING: Eric Gordon traded to Pacers for Granger
The Hornets seemed to have had a change of heart. Just yesterday Gordon asked to be moved away from New Orleans and they insisted they will keep him. But today, just today, the dealt him to Indiana for its franchise centerpiece, Danny Granger. The deal was completely a surprise for the basketball world as the Hornets executed their 2nd trade of the season and it's not even the deadline yet.
The Hornets sent Gordon, Austin Rivers and their 2014 1st round pick and in return, Indiana sends them Danny Granger and Paul George. This seemed to be a fair deal for both sides, especially giving up Rivers who has shown much immaturity because he wanted to play a starter's minutes despite him being a sixth man; Rivers also has proven to be a bust averaging just 4 points and 37% shooting in an average of 20 minutes of play. The trade also upgraded the small forward position for the Hornets, Aminu has been good, but they certainly could use an upgrade.
Hornets receive:
Danny Granger
Paul George
Pacers receive:
Eric Gordon
Austin Rivers
'14 1st round pick
