any help is appreciated.

update: cleaned everything out again and reinstalled and nothing. beyond frustrated. would someone check the cyberfaces pack in the download to make sure that de colo, prigioni, etc. are in there? none of them show up for me......

Are you installing the CF's in the Saves folder or the 2k main directory?

Hi slimm, I downloaded your opening day roster (no injury) and played couple of games. I'm surprised how much work you put in since your initial release. It plays really well. I'm really happy with players touches and shot animations. Thanks for your hard work.

Couple of quick questions if you can help me:

1) Shved is headless and has no arms in my game. Prigioni is fine so I'm not sure what could be wrong in my case. Just wanted to double check if CFs I got from your google link is a complete one. (Maybe you can tell me his CF ID and I will check to make sure I got him correctly in my 2K directory?)

2) I downloaded Tha King's uniforms to go with your roster. Is there something I have to do if I want to make all his alternate jerseys to work with your roster? For example, I wanted to check out Miami's white hot jersey and OKC's alternate jersey but I couldn't make it work.

FYI- When I use jao's unlock settings file with 2K's most recent roster, all jerseys do show. Perhaps your roster is not compatible with this since it is based off early roster set?
(If this is not possible, I'm totally fine... I just wanted to know if I should still invest time trying to make it work)

Again, thank you so much for the massive hours you put in and your effort on details. I once tried to implement vannhawkwolf's playbook in my own roster file once and almost cried because it took so much time and effort. The amount of work you are doing is truly amazing. I really appreciate everything in this roster.

I'm trying to ensure that Shved's CF ID is in my NBA2K13 main directory but I don't see him in the default roster Player_Player ID spreadsheet.
(because he is a created player, not a default player... duh :) )

Can someone please tell me his CF ID if you know what it is?

Edit: I re-downloaded CF package but still Shved is headless.

Hey thanks for trying to help but I figured it out using Lefto's roster editor tool.
Shved's CF ID is png8003. (You are almost half right LOL)

So I checked the CF package slimm provided on the first post and found out that his png8003.iff is missing from it. I downloaded RapboY's CF and now everything is fine. (The file I got from moddingway already has him at 8003!)

You should definitely check out slimm's slider on the first page. Play few games and see if you enjoy it.
I'm using a slider set I found at OS forums. Try this out too. Make sure you play couple of games on each set and decide.

This is strange. I have never had a problem with Shved's CF (or any others). I have always used the same CF pack that I upload to Google Docs and my routine is to check every cyberface I include in the pack before I upload it.

Probably tonight I'll upload a roster update. It will include transactions up to this point in the season, an updated CF pack (based on ID changes to eliminate conflicts between mods), and the CPU sliders I've been using.

Also, it will include the Play Types being edited to reflect numbers found on mysynergysports.com and will not have any players assigned Iso, Cutter, or High Post. Despite these changes, you will still see players cutting, going for Oops, and the appropriate players creating for themselves in the High Post. This has to do with Freelance Tendencies, Hot Spots, and the way the AI is coded. I ask that you give the changes a try before assuming they won't be good.

slimm44, do you think you'll be getting round soon to fulfilling my request of a document listing all objective stats, their sources and scales so that I know how I can improve the NBA Stats Tracker feature? As I said, the guide you provide doesn't help me a lot in that aspect, and I'd love to have a document that has everything nice and tidy, if that's not too much to ask.

Signature moves are being re-worked now. Once those are done, I'll be looking at Signature Skills. I'll also be adding new players as CF's are released. No ETA as of yet. There will be more data to analyze after the season starts.

Rhenel_04 wrote:why some ratings are too high like chris andersen in the fa pool .and kobe is 85? also durant 87? fix some ratings.

Thanks for the answer, Leftos. Allow me to go into more detail.

The individual ratings that hurt his overall rating the most are Offensive Awareness and Defensive Awareness. These ratings affected the Overall Rating by a total of 18 points combined, or 9 points for each attribute. The way that I determine these ratings are by looking at a player's last 3 seasons and for Offensive Awareness, adding the average of Offensive Rating and Offensive Win Shares together. For Defensive Awareness, I take the average of Defensive Rating and subtract Defensive Win Shares from it. The scale that I use looks like this:

Offensive Awareness (Offensive Rating+Offensive Win Shares)

123 - 95
118 - 85
113 - 75
108 - 65
103 - 55
98 - 45
93 - 35
88 - 25

Defensive Awareness (Defensive Rating-Defensive Win Shares)

90 - 95
94 - 85
98 - 75
102 - 65
106 - 55
110 - 45
115 - 35
120 - 25

Kobe is a below-average on-ball and help defender. His Defensive Rating average of the past 3 seasons has been 105 and he has averaged 3 Defensive Win Shares per season. This gives him a Defensive Awareness Rating of 65.

He is an Isolation-based player, a volume-scorer, and has a low EFG% of 47% over the past 3 seasons. What that means is he takes a lot of low-percentage shots. His Offensive Rating average of the past 3 seasons has been 108 and he has averaged 5 Offensive Win Shares per season. This gives him an Offensive Awareness Rating of 75.

In his prime, which he is nowhere near, he had 8 out of 9 seasons where he would have had a 95 in Offensive Awareness. His career high for Defensive Awareness would have been a 75. He has always been highly overrated on the defensive end of the court.

Feel free to look at the Editing Guide in the first post. I explained why I use the scales I do, how I came to them and how they effect the sim-engine.

Any other questions?

Gameplay and stats are my number 1. I could give two sh*ts about having the right color head-band. What can I do to help? I'm pretty good at making sliders adjustments, gauging real-life play, keep up-to-date on all the stats and upcoming players, stuff like that.... What about making the perfect slider set to match your roster?? I've been a huge NBA advocate since I was a kid and pride myself on being unbiased of how the game is played and observant of the real-life cause-and-effect attributes of how the game is played. For example, the post you made that got me hooked to your thread was your talk about Kobe and how he is overrated, especially on defense. I'm not a Kobe hater, he is leading the league in scoring and makes some extremely difficult shots. However, for example, Kobe's FG% during any of his seasons played is not as high as Michael Jordans CAREER FG%. I'm not trying to start a comparison thread of Kobe and Mj, I'm just saying I notice the fine details and see beyond the glamour. Anyway, I've already created a fantastic slider set for the original out-of-box rosters that plays very realistic. I have spent hours upon hours of testing, playing, experimenting, etc. I don't know if I'm rambling now or if this is going somewhere Lol.

You say you need help with editing... what exactly does that entail?

Thank you, sirs. I know my roster will not be as good as others in terms of shoes/accessories/colors, but, if I may be so bold, my roster will be the best in terms of gameplay and sim-stats. I'd love it if I could get as much help as other roster makers on this forum. For some reason, it's very difficult, which is why I've been so grateful to those who have helped so far.

Right now, a really good slider set for Pro and All-Star would be nice. I have a set that I've been tweaking for CPU games but haven't had time to develop HUM vs. CPU sliders in quite a while. That would be a big help.

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play
