BREAKING NEWS: Chris Bosh on Trade Block
The Miami Heat are attempting to trade F/C Chris Bosh before the NBA Draft, as he has struggled both statistically and injury-wise in his four seasons with the Heat. The Heat are rumored to be interested in free agents Ty Lawson and Tyreke Evans, so Mario Chalmers may be included in a trade package, but that is unconfirmed at this time. The Heat are likely looking for a draft pick and salary cap space for Bosh.

BREAKING NEWS: Bosh Sent to Clippers
The Miami Heat have sent F Chris Bosh to the LA Clippers in a three-team trade. The Clippers get Bosh, the Charlotte Bobcats get C DeAndre Jordan, and the Heat get the Bobcats’ first round pick next year. This move gives the Heat some cap space to work with this offseason, and gives them four picks in the first round of next year’s draft. Bosh was given the choice to be traded to the Clippers or 76ers.
Heat Hire Patrick Ewing
The Heat have hired legendary Center Patrick Ewing as their new assistant coach, as the contract of former assistant coach Bob McAdoo had expired.

The Miami Heat have accepted the second year of Norris Cole’s 2yr Team Option, worth $2.15M.

Magic Trade: 12th Overall Pick
Bulls Trade: C Nikola Pekovic
Grizzlies Trade: 2015 1st round pick, 2nd round pick 5
Magic Trade: C Darko Milicic, 2015 2nd round pick
Magic Trade: 19th Overall Pick
Celtics Trade: 2015 1st round pick
No Draft Activity for Heat:
The Miami Heat had no picks in this year’s draft, and it stayed that way. The Heat are more interested in next year’s draft class (Nicktional Draft Class 1), and they did not want to use any of their assets to move up into this draft.
Note: Since the Heat didn’t have any draft picks, I decided not to go in-depth with it this season. I’ll do more for it next season (scouting, mock drafts, etc.) because I’ll have four first-rounders next year.
Heat Free Agency Rumors:
The Heat are rumored to be interested in the following free agents:
Kings F/G Tyreke Evans
Trail Blazers F LaMarcus Aldridge
Nuggets G Ty Lawson
Heat Free Agency Recap:
Vince Carter – 1yr/$1.00M (Player Option)
Ty Lawson – 4yr/$21.90M (Player Option)
Joel Przybilla – 1yr/$487k
Al Harrington – 1yr/487k
Other Free Agency News:
Carmelo Anthony surprised everyone, signing a 5yr/$117.00M deal with the Detroit Pistons. This is a phenomenal signing by the Pistons, who will now be strongly favored for the
Possibly even more surprising than Melo to the Pistons is the fact that the Trail Blazers let LaMarcus Aldridge walk to the Suns on a 5yr/$98.57M contract. The Suns managed to go from the worst team in the NBA to a contender in one offseason, as they also signed G Jrue Holiday to a 5yr/$79.07M contract. The Suns could have a very Magic-like run this season.
The Spurs went Guard crazy in free agency, signing Jeff Teague to a 4yr/$32.16M deal and Ramon Sessions to a 4yr/$31.54M deal. This is most likely going to turn out as a brilliant move, as they will probably be able to trade either Teague or Sessions for a good draft pick if they don’t work out in San Antonio.
The Nuggets lost two young free agents, with Ty Lawson going to the Heat and Quincy Miller signing a 5yr/$81.25M deal with the Bucks.
The Lakers addressed their Point Guard problem by signing Brandon Jennings to a 4yr/$26.50M deal. They were also able to re-sign both Kobe Bryant (3yrs/$55.20M) and Pau Gasol (4yrs/$57.59M).
The Grizzlies were able to re-sign Zach Randolph to a 4yr/$24.67M deal.
The Kings were able to keep both DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans with their qualifying offers.

BALL NIGHT!
Lawson Shines in Miami Debut as Heat Rout Celtics
Man y questioned the addition of Ty Lawson this offseason with Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole both on the roster. Lawson has already begun to prove those doubters wrong, going off for 17 points and 15 assists in the Heat’s 126-101 victory. Vince Carter exploded off of the bench for the Heat, scoring 17 points in 7 minutes. Norris Cole also had a great night, with 13 points and 2 assists in 7 minutes of playing time. This was a great team effort by the Heat, and this post-Bosh Heat team will be extremely hard to beat if they keep firing on all cylinders like this.

Miami Heat News:
LeBron to Opt Out?
LeBron James has reportedly told management that he will be opting out of his contract after the season, in an attempt to sign a better extension. LeBron does not appear likely to leave the Heat, but the fact that he is apparently opting out will surely not help his public image.
Big Contract Year for Heat
Besides LeBron James, Dwyane Wade has a Player Option for this year, and Norris Cole will be a Restricted Free Agent after the season. Cole has told management that he wants to remain with the Heat, but he still wants a good contract. The Heat have already managed to re-sign F Udonis Haslem to a 2yr/$4.00M contract extension with a Team Option for a third year. Wade has already stated that he wants to retire with the Heat, so if he does opt-out of his contract it will likely only be to sign for a contract worth less than what the Option is in an effort to re-sign both Cole and James.
Chalmers on Trade Block?
Mario Chalmers is currently making $7.00M per year with his new contract, $7.00M which could be used to help the team re-sign both LeBron James and Norris Cole. With Ty Lawson averaging 13.9 PPG and 7.9 APG, and both Norris Cole and Shane Battier fully capable of taking a Sixth Man role, Chalmers has seemingly become expendable for the Heat, especially with top PG prospect Myck Kabongo on the roster. If Chalmers were to be moved, it would likely be either right before the Trade Deadline or before the NBA Draft.
Southeast Division News:
Magic Hoping to Continue Hot Start
The reigning Eastern Conference Champions are hoping to get a better seed in the playoffs this year, as opposed to the 7 seed they held last year. Both Chris Paul and Luol Deng are scoring at a good clip, with 22.6 PPG and 20.8 PPG respectively. Alec Burks and James McAdoo are continuing to improve, making the Magic a solid, young team that will be contending for an Eastern Conference Finals spot for many years to come.
Hawks Showing Promise, but Struggling
Lou Williams is showing great promise in his first season as a starter, scoring 19.8 PPG and 4.9 APG in his first month. Rookie G Mario Hezonja is also showing his potential, with 19.0 PPG, 2.6 RPG, and 3.4 APG in his first month in the NBA. The Hawks are only 5-8, but they have the potential to make a run at the playoffs.
Beal and Wall Continue Dominance, Wizards Losing Again
After being swept out of the playoffs by the Miami Heat last season, the Wizards are off to a 5-8 start to the season. Bradley Beal has had a great November, with 20.6 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 1.0 APG, which are improvements over his career stats so far. John Wall has remained constant with 17.2 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 7.6 APG. The Wizards aren’t out of playoff contention, but as usual, fans are remaining skeptical of the team.
Those Crazy Bobcats
The Bobcats are off to a 4-11 start to the season, but at least they re-signed DeAndre Jordan. After sending a first round pick to the Heat and with Kemba Walker requesting a trade, the Bobcats look like they are headed straight to a long rebuilding process, if they ever got out of one. The Bobcats look lottery bound again, as they have absolutely no team chemistry.
Around the League:
The most surprising team of the month has been the Sacramento Kings, who have stormed out of the gate to an NBA-Leading 12-3 record. Tyreke Evans is hoping to lead this team to the playoffs, which would be a breath of fresh air for Kings fans.
Celtics G Rajon Rondo wants to re-sign with the team as of now, but he may test free agency if the Celtics fail to reach the postseason again.
Injury Report:
The Clippers have been hit hard by the injury bug, as both Chris Bosh and Chauncey Billups have broken their jaws and will miss the next 6-8 weeks of the season.
Hornets G Austin Rivers is still recovering from his MCL tear, and is expected to return in the next 2-4 weeks.
Reigning Finals MVP Manu Ginobili has a wrist injury and will miss time sporadically for the next 2-4 weeks.
Miami Heat News:
Heat Edge out Magic for 1 Seed
The Heat are one game ahead of the team that eliminated them in the ECF last year, and they are hoping that it stays that way. The Heat do not want to face the Magic again, so as long as they are both the 1 and 2 seeds, the Heat will likely be fine with either outcome.
LeBron Hoping for MVP 4
After being plagued by injuries for the last two seasons, LeBron James is finally back on top of the MVP vote. He is averaging 27.8 PPG, 9.1 RPG, 4.9 APG, 2.1 SPG, and 1.2 BPG through the first two months of the season.
Chalmers Likely to be moved in January
Ty Lawson is having a great start to the season, averaging 15.0 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 7.4 APG, and 1.8 SPG through the first two months of the season. Mario Chalmers could be a starter somewhere, and the Heat want to give Norris Cole more minutes to see if they want to sign him to a long-term contract. The rumored leaders for Mario Chalmers are the Denver Nuggets, the Toronto Raptors, and the Detroit Pistons.
Southeast Division News:
Magic Making Run at 1 Seed
The Orlando Magic are one game back from the 1 seed Miami Heat, standing at 22-8 after the first two months of the season. Chris Paul is having an MVP season so far, averaging 20.7 PPG, 8.5 APG, and 2.8 SPG through the first two months of the season. If the Magic continue to click, they may be looking at a 1 seed and Chris Paul’s first MVP.
Wizards Rebound from Terrible November
After a 5-8 start to the season, the Washington Wizards are now 16-13 and the 5 seed in the East. Bradley Beal and John Wall are still lighting up the scoreboards, and Nerlens Noel is averaging an impressive 15.8 PPG and 9.3 RPG for a second-year player. The Wizards are hoping to get back to the playoffs after being swept by the Miami Heat last year.
Hawks > Bobcats (Barely)
The Hawks are lucky that the Charlotte Bobcats are in the league, because they are the only thing keeping them out of the cellar in both their division and the entire Eastern Conference. Josh Smith and Al Horford will likely be on the trading block if the Hawks don’t pull this out before the Trade Deadline.
Oh, Bobcats.
As Michael Kidd-Gilchrist gets better, the Bobcats are getting worse. They are the worst team in the Eastern Conference at 10-19, although they are only one game behind the Atlanta Hawks. Just to make things even better, the Miami Heat own the Bobcat’s first round pick this year. There is a strong possibility that they will hand one of the two best teams in the Eastern Conference the #1 pick on a silver platter after the DeAndre Jordan/Chris Bosh trade. Oops.
Around the League:
Pistons F Carmelo Anthony is averaging a career-worst 18.7 PPG with his new team.
Pacers G/F Paul George is prepared to test free agency after the season.
Transaction Report:
The Celtics and Rajon Rondo have agreed to a 5yr/$88.94M contract extension.
The Celtics and Jeff Green have agreed to a 6yr/$50.46M contract extension.
Injury Report:
Thunder G James Harden has torn his MCL again, and will miss the rest of the season. Harden has only played in 33 games since signing his max contract with the Thunder (13 last season, 20 this season), whereas Serge Ibaka has flourished after being traded to the Heat.
Celtics F Kevin Garnett will miss the next 6-8 weeks with a broken back.

Miami Heat News:
Heat Pull Ahead in Playoff Race
The Miami Heat are now 3 games ahead of the Orlando Magic in the race for the 1 seed. The Heat also have 3 MVP candidates on their roster (LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Ty Lawson), and they are hell-bent on getting back to the Finals after being eliminated by the Magic last year. The Heat are hoping that the Magic stay in the 2 seed, so that they would not have to face the Magic until the Eastern Conference Finals if at all.
Chalmers’ Tenure Ends
Mario Chalmers was traded to the Toronto Raptors this month in exchange for Amir Johnson and a first round pick in next year’s draft. Johnson’s contract expires after this season, and the Heat need all of the cap space that they can get in order to re-sign LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Norris Cole, and even then they might not be able to re-sign all three.
Southeast Division News:
Magic Keep Hold on 2 Seed
The Orlando Magic used a good January to keep their hold on the 2 seed. The Magic want to get back to the Finals after falling short against the Spurs last year, and they are hoping that an MVP-like season from Chris Paul will be enough to get them there.
Wizards Fall Out of Playoffs
Bradley Beal, John Wall, and Nerlens Noel are having great seasons, but the Wizards are losing. They are a very streaky team, so the good news is that this losing streak is happening sooner as opposed to later. The Wizards will likely be in the hunt all year, with the last month of the season determining if they make the playoffs or not.
Hawks to Begin Fire Sale?
With the Trade Deadline a month away, the Hawks already have no chance at making the postseason. Josh Smith is having his worst statistical season since his sophomore campaign, and Al Horford has been injury-plagued for the last four seasons. One of the two will likely be moved before the trade deadline, as the Hawks should be able to get a good package of picks/players for one or both of them. The Hawks are expected to keep Lou Williams, as he and rookie Mario Hezonja appear to be the future of the Hawks.
Those Crazy ‘Cats
The Charlotte Bobcats are just lucky that the 76ers had an abysmal January, as they are no longer the worst team in the Eastern Conference. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is having the best season of his young career (19.4 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 3.0 APG, 1.2 SPG), yet the Bobcats are having the worst season since he has been there, likely caused from the loss of Ramon Sessions. Kemba Walker is furious about the way he has been handled; as he was not promoted to the starter after Sessions left (Rookie G Kasey Hill is the starter). The Bobcats are going nowhere fast, so they might as well try to trade Walker before the deadline.
Around the League:
Raptors G Jose Calderon is likely to be moved before the Trade Deadline.
The Hornets are fielding offers for C Marcin Gortat.
C Jordan Hill has requested a trade from the Charlotte Bobcats.

Jan. 25: The Raptors have signed C Omer Asik to a 1yr/$4.32M deal.

Heat F/G Vince Carter is recovering from his torn meniscus and will miss another 1-2 weeks.

Feb 8: The 76ers have traded their first round pick and Sam Young to the Nuggets for Anthony Randolph. This is a great move for the Nuggets, as they move a role player with a huge contract and get an expiring contract and what will probably end up being a top-3 lottery pick. This is a decent move for the 76ers, as Randolph has good potential, although his $75.00M contract is definitely a concern.
Trade Rumors:
The Spurs are apparently going to deal Tony Parker before the trade deadline, with the Bobcats and Nuggets being the most likely teams. The Bobcats are in talks with the Spurs, while the Nuggets have reportedly asked a team in the Eastern Conference to help facilitate a trade for Parker. The Spurs may also decide to move Manu Ginobili before the deadline, as they are in full rebuild mode just one season after winning the Finals.
The Nets are reportedly working out a trade that will send G C.J. Watson to the Boston Celtics.
The Raptors want to move Jose Calderon, and sources indicate they are engaging in talks with the Mavericks, Clippers, Hornets, and 76ers.
Feb 9: Looks like the Eastern Conference team that the Nuggets contacted was the Miami Heat, as they have helped get Tony Parker to Denver in a three-team trade. The Heat traded Amir Johnson, a first round pick this year (via Toronto), and a second round pick this year (via Philadelphia) to the Spurs, who traded Tony Parker to the Nuggets. In exchange for facilitating this trade, the Heat got Arron Afflalo and Denver’s first round pick next year.
Trade Rumors:
The Spurs are going to trade Manu Ginobili before the deadline, they just aren’t sure where yet. The frontrunners are believed to be the Utah Jazz and the Orlando Magic. The Spurs are also fielding offers for Ramon Sessions, who was expecting a bigger role when he signed with the Spurs.
Glen Davis is done in Utah; the only question is if he will be dealt before the deadline or walk away after the season. The Jazz will likely try to move him so they get something in return for him.
The Timberwolves are engaging in trade talks for Chase Budinger, with the Clippers and Wizards rumored to be the frontrunners.
Feb 22: Manu Ginobili’s long tenure as a member of the Spurs has ended, as the reigning NBA Finals MVP was traded to the Orlando Magic, along with Matt Bonner and a future first round pick, in exchange for Jameer Nelson, J.J. Redick, and promising Center Kaleb Tarczewski. The Spurs were decimated when Tim Duncan retired, and the Big Three era is now officially over, with Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili all no longer members of the Spurs.
Feb 25: The Spurs continue their fire sale, sending Stephen Jackson to the Knicks for Steve Novak and a second round pick in this year’s draft. People might start to wonder if the Spurs are tanking. They are.

Rookies Can’t Complete Comeback, Sophomores Win 103-100
Despite the best efforts of #1 pick Jabari Parker, the Rookies could not finish their comeback in the fourth quarter, and they fell just short of the Sophomores. The Sophomores were led by the scoring and defense of both Shabazz Muhammad, who probably could have won the MVP last season if he wasn’t on the Suns, and C.J. McCollum, the promising Guard for the Bucks.

Miami Heat News:
Heat-Centric MVP Race
While Ty Lawson has fallen out of the Top 5 for the MVP award, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are at the top of the votes. If Lawson can keep getting the ball to Wade and James, however, don’t be surprised if he makes a late push for the trophy.
Heat Stay Solid atop Shifting East
The Miami Heat have managed to stay at the top of the Eastern Conference for the entire season, whereas the rest of the Playoff Picture has been shifting around a lot. The Heat, Magic, and Bulls seem to have a firm grip on the top 3 seeds, but 4-8 are going to be a bitter fight to the end. Not one team in that range has stayed in the same spot they were in last month, and one of the teams wasn’t even in the top 9 last month. This playoff race should be one of the most interesting ones in years.
LeBron to Opt Out
LeBron James will not pick up the Player Option on his contract after the end of the season, as he sees this offseason as his last opportunity for a big contract. LeBron is likely to re-sign with the Heat, but not until after testing the market to see what his value is.
Southeast Division News:
Magic Retain Firm Grip on 2 Seed
The Magic are the only Eastern Conference team besides the Heat that has stayed at the same spot in the seeding for the entire season so far. The Magic have been dominant all season, with a +6.9 point differential (2nd), the fourth best defense in the NBA, and the ninth best offense in the NBA. Chris Paul would be the runaway MVP candidate if LeBron James and Dwyane Wade weren’t so dominant. The Magic are not expected to give up the 2 seed, and the only team even close to them is the Chicago Bulls.
Hawks’ Offense Still an Issue
The Atlanta Hawks are doing great defensively this season, only surrendering 96.7 PPG. The problem is that they are only scoring 95.5 PPG. They failed to trade for an offensive weapon, and they have been below .500 all season. Don’t expect that to change.
Same Old Wizards
The Wizards always have so much potential, but they never have any chemistry. They were in striking distance of the playoffs, but a terrible February may have made it impossible for them to get back into the chase. They’ve fallen behind the lowly Hawks, and they are only 2.5 games ahead of the Bobcats, not a good sign for this team. They are likely going to be petitioning the team to let them select “Chemistry” in this year’s NBA draft.
Bobcats…
Who knew that Ramon Sessions was so important to a team? The Bobcats went from barely missing the playoffs last year to one of the worst teams in the NBA. The only solace that the Bobcats have is that the Thunder have a worse record than them this season. Sure, they did lose James Harden to a torn MCL, but you have to take the little victories while you can, especially when the best team in your division has your first round draft pick this year. Oh well.
Around the League:
Carmelo Anthony may have made the worst decision in his career by going to the Pistons, as he is averaging a career-low 17.2 PPG with his new team. Hopefully for Melo, he’ll be able to pull it out, but more importantly the Pistons might have just wasted $117.00M.
Transaction Report:
The Re-signing Deadline was very quiet, with Alec Burks being the only player to ink a new deal. He will stay with the Magic on a 4yr/$22.90M deal.
Injury Report:
Kings Star G and MVP Candidate Tyreke Evans will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a back injury.
Trail Blazers F Nicolas Batum has torn his MCL and will miss the remainder of the season.
Magic G Manu Ginobili has a minor MCL strain and will miss time sporadically over the next 2 weeks.
Raptors G J.R. Smith is now day-to-day with his torn hamstring and is expected back soon.

Miami Heat News:
LeBron a Lock for MVP 4?
LeBron James is one month away from securing his fourth MVP trophy. Reigning MVP and teammate Dwyane Wade is second in voting, but he would likely need an amazing final month of the season to overtake LeBron. There are rumors that Erik Spoelstra may reduce LeBron’s minutes due to his injuries over the last two seasons, which may be the only thing to keep LeBron away from the MVP trophy.
Cole to Miss Rest of Season
Norris Cole has broken his foot, and he will miss the remainder of the regular season. Cole is expected to be back for the first round of the playoffs, although he may miss one or two games.
Southeast Division News:
Magic Clinch Playoffs
The Magic have stayed firm in the 2 seed for the entire season, and they don’t appear to be going anywhere with one month left in the season. Sure, they are only 1.5 games ahead of the Bulls, but they are 5.5 games ahead of the 4 seeded Raptors. Neither the Magic nor the Heat want to face each other until they have to, so don’t expect the Magic to lose the 2 seed without a fight.
Playoffs Possible for Hawks?
The Hawks are 5.5 games out of the 8 seed with 10 games left to play. The playoffs are a possibility, but they are highly unlikely due to the continued offensive struggles of the Hawks. To make things worse, their defense has gotten worse, and they now have a -2.5 point differential. The Hawks are a longshot at best for the postseason.
Bobcats 5.5 Out
The Bobcats are riding a 4 game winning streak and are 5.5 points and a tiebreaker with the Hawks out of the postseason. However, they are near the bottom of both scoring (94.8 PPG) and defense (100.4 PAPG). They are trending upwards, but the playoffs are very unlikely.
Wizards Getting Worse
The Wizards are riding a 5 game losing streak, and are now one of the cellar dwellers in the Eastern Conference after an abysmal March. John Wall may walk in free agency after the season, as he wants to win. Bradley Beal is scoring at a good clip, but if Wall leaves, the Wizards are doomed. They will have a high draft pick as a fallback, but that hasn’t exactly worked out too well for them.
Around the League:
Cavaliers G Kyrie Irving will test free agency after the season. He is a restricted free agent, however, and he will likely remain with the Cavs.
Grizzlies F/G Rudy Gay may test the open market after the season.
Rockets G Jeremy Lin is expected to test the free agent market after the season.
The Hornets are expected to pick up the team options for both Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers, and both are expected to sign long-term extensions with the team.
Injury Report:
Timberwolves G Ricky Rubio has injured his wrist and will likely sit for the remainder of the season.

Playoff Predictions - Eastern Conference:
Heat v. Cavaliers
The Heat rampaged their way through the regular season, and LeBron locked up his fourth MVP award. The Cavaliers made the playoffs on a tiebreaker and struggled all season. The Heat will likely be without Ty Lawson for this series (Back Spasms), but it probably won’t hurt them much.
Prediction: Heat in 4
Magic v. Pistons
Chris Paul is coming off of an MVP-like season, while Carmelo Anthony is coming off of the worst season in his career. This will be a good showcase of team basketball, but the Magic shouldn’t have much of a problem with the Pistons.
Prediction: Magic in 5
Bulls v. Pacers
Derrick Rose is out with a broken toe for the next 2-4 weeks, so Marquis Teague will start this series. The Bulls still have Andre Iguodala, Tony Allen, and Julius Randle, so this won’t be a runaway for the Pacers, who did struggle at times this season.
Prediction: Pacers in 7
Raptors v. Knicks
Amar’e Stoudemire has done an admirable job leading the Knicks this season, but the Raptors are a very bad matchup for them. The Knicks’ defense may slow the Raptors down a little, but their offense likely won’t be able to keep up with them. The Raptors will likely make short work of the Knicks.
Prediction: Raptors in 5
Playoff Predictions - Western Conference:
Kings v. Rockets
The Kings have had an amazing season, never relinquishing their 1 seed. They don’t have any real playoff experience, although neither do the Rockets. The Rockets have been streaky all season, fluctuating between the 4 and 8 seeds. The Kings will also be getting Tyreke Evans back, who was an MVP candidate before his injury.
Prediction: Kings in 4
Lakers v. Nuggets
The Lakers are stacked this year, and the only thing that kept them from the 1 seed was the Kings’ amazing run. The only thing that could be a problem for the Lakers is that the Nuggets are stacked at Small Forward, whereas Andrei Kirilenko cannot play due to a torn MCL. The Lakers also have to worry about Tony Parker, who was just in the Finals last year and has a Finals MVP under his belt. This will be a battle between a team with a stacked starting lineup and a mediocre bench and a team that has solid starters and one of the better benches in the league. It should be an interesting series.
Prediction: Lakers in 6
Timberwolves v. Clippers
Chris Bosh had a decent season when he could actually stay on the court, but Blake Griffin will miss the first 1-2 games with a quad injury. Chauncey Billups and Chris Bosh won’t be enough to get past Kevin Love, Derrick Williams, and Brandon Roy. Ricky Rubio will also miss the first couple of games with his wrist injury, but he won’t be as big of a loss to the T-Wolves as Blake Griffin will be to the Clippers.
Prediction: Timberwolves in 5
Spurs v. Warriors
The Spurs are in the 4 seed due to a tiebreaker over the Rockets, but they really don’t have much of a chance at beating the Warriors, who have a great starting lineup of Stephen Curry, Eric Gordon, Harrison Barnes, and David Lee. The only thing that could hurt the Warriors is that Andrew Bogut will miss the first few games. The Spurs are a young team with a lot of potential, but they have no chance against the Warriors.
Prediction: Warriors in 4
