Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams is not happy about his ‘All-Star snub’. Williams is averaging 20.7 ppg, 8.0 apg, 1.6 spg and has so far led the Nets to a 29-22 record for the season. “I’m an All-Star,” Williams said, “Noone can deny that. I don’t know how I’m not on that team.”
Nets coach Avery Johnson voiced his own disappointment in his starter’s snub from the team, “Look at what he’s done for us and the new fans in Brooklyn. I don’t know if there’s much else he can do to be considered an All-Star player.”
The Eastern Conference All-Stars includes six newcomers and one of them is Williams’ teammate Brook Lopez. Lopez stated, “Deron is the reason why I made the All-Star team. He is our team’s leader and he is definitely one of the best players in this league.”

Fisher was signed by the Thunder last season after being traded by the Lakers and then released by the Rockets. Fisher was praised for his leadership and has been coaxed to return to the squad for the league minimum.
Fisher has kept himself in shape in the hope that a contender would come knocking for his services. The 40-12 Thunder beat the Heat and Mavericks for the respected Fisher.Struggling Grizzlies Acquire Michael Redd

The Memphis Grizzlies, at 24-27, are trying to keep up with the elite teams of the Western Conference and as a result signed sharpshooter Michael Redd to shore up their depth. Redd signed a 2 year deal that will pay him 1 million for each season.
“We believe that Michael will help us a lot,” one of the Grizzlies’ front office staff told ESPN.com, “We lost OJ Mayo in the offseason (to Dallas) and we have missed a consistent shooter at the 2 spot this season. Michael should really thrive in a bench role here.”
