Logitech Wingman Cordless

I just got a Logitech Wingman Cordless controller and it works in the control pannel but when i try to use it in live, nothing happens, I can select it from the menu and start the game but it just doesn't work.

Just make a new controller data and put the buttons you want in there then click Save, put a new name for it and you're done.

Ya I thought of that right after i posted, i'll try it.

I somehow got the controller to work but when i tried it again later, it doesn't work again, i'm really pissed off here. My gaming options in the control panel just opens sometimes but freezes whenever i push any buttons. I've reinstalled and gotten all the new drivers but it won't allow me to change the buttons or make a new controller data like zeroblade said. plz help before i smash these controllers and throw them in the garbage
