Hey guys who here plays with all 30 teams in association? I just want to know how you handle all team if you are only focusing on one team? Can they sign a free agent on their own or trade on their own?

No, if you're controlling all the teams, you're making all the decisions for them.

I'd get a legit F/C rather than a tweener forward like Jeff Green. It's so easy in this game to score with big guys with an ounce of shooting ability, so make your pick.

Craptors no more..

So my association approaching half-way of the season. Raptors established themselves as a team to beat in the EAST, especially at home.. Record so far 20-14 (home - 10-5 / away - 10-9). Still struggling to beat a top teams, lost both to OKC, one to Miami, one to Lakers, both to Spurs. Collecting every possible win from under 50% teams.

Roster:

PG. K.Lowry/ J.Flynn / D.Fisher
SG D.DeRozan / T.Ross
SF Jeff.Green / Marvin Williams
PF. D.West / A.Johnson /
C J. Valanciunas / E.Davis /B.Mullens

Trying to make a strong physical defensive squad, that would win the games on defence.

thinking of a new association but still undecided what to use. I want to get my favorite player to use in 2k, jerryd bayless and find a team where he can develop as a modern allen iverson with a dominant big man.

any thoughts? :)

Don't worry. Just keep it going. When I was a new member back in '04/05 nobody but maybe one or two ppl followed my Dynasty. It wasn't really until I got to 2nd season that slowly got a following. Find a formula that works for you & go with it. Try to think of some aspect you really like in the NBA & that you can incorporate & feature that a little bit, e.g. for me I love draft so I'd have scouting reports, great draft & off-season coverage.

I agree with the X; just keep at it. It took me ages for my dynasty to build a following as well. If you keep going, people will appreciate the effort you put into it.

I'm thinking of giving K-Mart what he wants, which is $24.99M/3yrs. It will become Perk's demise though. I also have another idea, which is don't do anything until the off-season, where I can trade Perk and sign K-Mart and other things. Your thoughts?

Would you trade Ty Lawson (Rat 81, Pot B, 25 yo, 4 year contract w/ next year @ 10.79M, Ankle Breaker, Anti-Freeze, Finisher) for Kyle Lowry (Rat 83, Pot A-, 26 yo, 2 year contract w/ next year @ 6.21M, Scrapper, Dimer, Pick Pocket, Charge Card) ?

I'm trying to free cap space and this move would give me 22.18M (18.58 if I activate the options) of free cap space! However I may lose a first round pick (lottery)
My team right now is Lawson, Harden, Parsons (2Yr Option), Faried (2Yr Option), McGee, Bradley, Ellington(Expiring), Brewer(Expiring), Randolph, Koufos, Pargo(Expiring), Hamilton (2Yr Option). I believe I can land Paul or Howard this summer. That said I would have 5 starters+2 first round prospects+4 role players and a former starter (McGee or Lowry) to be used as a Sixth man or be traded for a more suitable sixth man or quality role players. Now that you know my plan would you go ahead with the trade?

I think it's a pretty good trade, at the very least I doubt it'll set you back, but if you're happy with your current team and performance you could pass it up as Lawson is hardly a bad option.

Andrew, you made the 666th post in this topic. Welcome to the dark side

I'm very happy with my current roster. But (as Steve Kerr reminds me in every game) there is no Superstar talent...The problem is that I just figured out that if I draft a top 5 player his salary will make my cap much smaller :(

Are you winning without a superstar? If so, you can probably ignore Kerr's comments on the subject. ;) That said, if you would like to make a run at Paul and Howard, you pretty much have to do it to clear the cap room. You shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket, if you can't land either of them then you've broken up a team you liked and possibly could've won with, but if your offseason plans revolve around free agency then clearing cap room is the way to go, which means pulling the trigger on a trade like that.

Raptors is chasing Heat for the 1st spot in the East, only 2.5 games behind with 23 games left to play (38-21 record)
T.Ross is going for a 6th player award (currently 4th), but improving very fast.
J.Val is going for the ROY award (currently 5th), just won Rookie of the Month (February).
DeRozan is going for a MIP award (currently 4th).

Started a Raptors Association as at current date/record. Want to deal Bargs but don't want to rip off teams. I've seen a Bargs & 2014 1st Rd for Batum offer or a straight up Bargs for Thaddeus Young offer. Other offers are one-sided in my favour & I wouldn't do them.

I'd recommend giving Bargs a shot. He's one of my favorite players to use in 2K. Ed Davis and Jose Calderon would be who I'd shop.

I'd take Batum in a minute. He's the perfect role player for a hopefully soon coming franchise player rescuing the Raptors.

Yeah big fan of Batum, get him and you're away laughing IMO. Need to make sure you draft well in 2013 though unless you can replace your 2014 pick.

70 games into the season and Raptors have 46-24 record, might look impressive at first, but... I am beating all the scrubs. My record against 50%+ teams is just 19-17, so I am 27-7 against under 50% teams. I have 2-2 vs NY, 1-2 vs MIA, 0-2 vs LAL, 0-2 vs OKC, teams that i have to beat for a Championship. 2nd round of the playoff probably is the best that I can manage with this team this year. I already surpassed my goal for this season, to win 41 games and maybe get in to the playoffs.
