find their IDs in the players tab, and then add those three IDs to the Team USA row on the Teams tab. Make sure you change the PlNum to 15 if you add all three of them

Any word on making this compatible with xbox november files? The player editing works but the jerseys tab is blank and the team tab doesn't work either.

here is the 11-14-12 update:

Wow, it looks like it all got moved again in this morning's update. I take it there is no header or anything to let the program automatically find those sections, you have to manually do it?

So how would I manually do it, can I copy and paste from a file with the jersey's implemented using your tutorial from the youtube channel using Exel, or is it a more time consuming way of doing so.

I heard from another thread that you can change your shoe brand in my career with this tool. I loaded up my career save, changed the "ShoeBrand" column from Jordan to Nike, clicked the "Save Players" button, but ingame, it still tells me that I'm with Jordan and I can only equip Jordan shoes. Am I doing this wrong?

Also, what's the difference between PC Ret and PC Nov modes?

I believe pc Nov is if you are using the November roster update. it works differently apparently. pc ret is pc retro I'm guessing?

JaoSming:
- No header to help, really, unless I'm missing something. Pretty sure Vlad knows how to decode the starting offsets and sizes of each table, but that's why we're paying him, and I doubt he'd be willing to divulge that information, nor am I going to pester him about it.
- You keep telling people to change PlNum. What you're missing though is that Roster Editor automatically corrects the PlNum and reorders the players in each roster so that there's no -1's in the middle. Neat, eh?

sanghai2, you can change your Shoe Brand if you also know the shoe model you want to use. You can't change the Shoe Brand you're locked to in this editor, yet.
PC Ret is for retail PC rosters, PC Nov is for some later rosters that didn't work fully in PC Ret.

Yup. Any time you save the Teams table, players are reordered and PlNum is corrected. Seemed pretty obvious to me that the tool should do that, it's one of the most common and silliest causes of crashes in roster editing.

If REDitor does end-up supporting plug-ins, I'm going to make as many repair tools as possible, like this one. I do hope Vlad gets easily implemented and obvious things like this to be features though.

hmm is the roster editor compatible with the latest roster? I tried using the PC Nov, and PC Ret option to look at the head coach value of Dantoni, but the latest roster shows a bunch of 0s for most of the head coach values.

Leftos, I guess you know the answer for my problem...
I took a little part in "Babyface v3 roster" by making many new portraits for active players. So, when I use Babyface roster, all players portraits are there. Then I tried official 2K roster and about 7 or 8 players portraits are CF`s (Shved, Moteiunas, Alan Anderson...). I know that their portraits are in portraits.iff/cdf file, but how to "link" players with their portraits via Roster Editor? I tried to learn it myself, but "Names" column is blank. I also found the list of their CF ID`s, but some of them are numbered 4000+ or even 8000+ and in Roster Editor there are no higher number than 2999.
Anyway, you sure know what the hell I wrote about and why I need help...

PortraitID is what changes the portrait ID's and you need "BFCFNames.txt" or "CFNames.txt" both are in the "Names v9.7z" posted on page 9 or 10. You ned to change under options from ID to CFID and change names.txt to either one or the other "BFCFNames.txt" or "CFNames.txt".
Leftos posted a great tutorial about some of the details of Roster Editor a few pages back. Sorry I am just too busy tonight to look up URL's.

Thanx, man.

Too bad that latest official roster ID`s are different than those in names.txt in v9. For example, names.txt begins with:
0 Jrue Holiday
1 Jason Richardson
2 Evan Turner
3 Spencer Hawes
4 Andrew Bynum
5 Thaddeus Young
6 Nick Young
7 Lavoy Allen

Using Roster Editor I saw that number 3 now is Thaddeus Young, 4 - Lavoy Allen 5 - Spencer Hawes...etc

Damn! It was right in front of my eyes! I made it combining Babyface roster with official one and I updated official roster version with portraits I made for Babyface roster v3 with all the missing players cyberfaces. Looks nice!

Thank you very much DukeW74 for pointing me in right direction!

RowdyRondo, it does. Just use Find & Replace, in Find add PlayerID >= 0 and in Replace add the ratings and tendencies you want to change.

How do you add Sig Skills as global ?

Dunk Packages do you know Enumerables ?

1 is not a valid value for SSList Replace Cancelled

I think the SS1 is Posterizer not the number one you need to use full word i think

and with replace you cant use words only numbers

First of all I like that tool very much. Saved me a ton of time when working on my roster. (y)
There are still two things that bother me.
a) I tried to edit the hot zone for created players several times but that seems to have no effect ingame (all zones stayed grey, no change to blue or red).
b) Will it be possible to edit player's loyality etc. in one of the coming versions of the editor? Or do I have to wait on REDitor to come out? ;)
