[REQ] Profile / Roster Launcher Tool

Postby DondiWhite on Fri Nov 09, 2012 3:05 am

Hi,

I am under the understanding that you have to load rosters from in-game once your in etc.

I also saw other tools that have been made that launch game and protect on-line/off-line mod files which has a UI that is similar.

I was looking for a "launcher" that can be set for your profile (say if you have multiples for different sliders etc) and roster files. So I can select a profile file (and it deals with loading multiples from its own folder) and also selected roster files in a managed way and grouped to your liking. Also maybe the ability for the launcher to then launch with some kind of skip intro movie feature and get straight into game at start button. Some way to swap in/out and name them at launch so game views normal files but they are off different setups.

I dont know how rosters can be forced into game on start or even if its possible with the game engine, but if anyone who makes GUI launch utils, I wondered if its possible?

Im also lost if this is a "patch request" I checked the forum rules, so not sure if this should be in general section, apologies in advance if I got it wrong.

i think the time it would take to set that up would be longer than simply loading the game and going to the load screen.
Opinions are my own.

That is true to a point, but it was mainly about having a fast launch into a combination set of sliders & settings along with rosters so you could group them for reasons such as a slider set that you find works well with a roster combination and maybe you group a few as certain preferences so you can keep track and quick group load them.

Also much like the Keep My Mod feature if that was expanded into a profile manager (sliders & settings) / Roster launcher the guts of it already exist, just some additional features as an all in one launcher and file handler along side its main mod handler features.

But ... as you say, requesting and coding and the end results may not be much of a pay off.
