Uninstalling the game doesn't erase any saves, so he may still have his too at
%APPDATA%\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Saves

If not, send him one, and let's see if the research gets done.

Leftos I edited MyCareer last night and played a couple of games with him. No crashing or anything but I did notice the split stats under Played Card were gone, Home and Away. I am 9 games into the career and if I recall from the last time I looked at them we were 4 home and 4 away. Also I was within the top 15 for assist in the league under league stats and now it says DNQ. (Does Not Qualify). It does not seem to affect all stats, just some of them, very odd.

Note: I don't think I am reporting a bug, just an observation :)
What I edited is, Lock Down Defender added, (it worked though I am a poor defender on this years game so I could barely tell the difference). And I changed his audio ID to match Clyde Drexler's. I do remember you stating the audio ID was just because of what JaoSming said about last years game. I am guessing that ID has more to do with stats than it does with audio.

I will revert back to my save before editing and replay the 2 games I played and let you know if my stats are still fubarred or not.

Oh damn! That's not Audio ID! That's ASA_ID! The one we found out needed to be unique for each player in order for his box scores and awards to be kept correctly! That's a huge find, Duke!

And yes, changing the ASA ID will cause all your box scores to be gone. Any ASA ID changes need to be done BEFORE you start an Association/MyCareer, and the ASA ID needs to be unique for each player in order for the box scores not to be mixed and messed up.

Ahh that's right I guessed that was ASA ID but I just could not remember the name of it. Its hell getting old :)

I am sure you have noticed a lot of My Players being cloned and then people ending up with 2 of the same guy. My thoughts on this is now that you can edit CMG I think its possible to edit the roster (CMG) and -1 one of the clones, you might need to add him to the FA list as well. If you think that's a possibility I can try to find a guy and do some testing.

Or someone with one of the MyPlayer files with a dupe player can do it and let everyone know.

Haven't noticed cloned MyPlayers, but if someone has that issue and manages to remove the player from the team's roster by -1'ing him and have the game not crash (I think last year we needed to remove the player from situationals as well), then please post here.

It's 2K11 roster the same format as 2K12 rosters? Because I don't have Reditor for 2K12 but I have the guru version from 2K11.

As mentioned by JaoSming here
viewtopic.php?p=1557011#p1557011

Personally I don't care about collars but I did edit the collars in home and away 76er's jerseys. So here are 2 2K12 rosters with the edited one ending in "PC", If anyone wants to take the research of collars where it needs to go.

I thought I screwed up....but you got similar results as I did, the entire file fucks up from that one change

can anyone find the tutorial from OS on how to edit it through hex?
Opinions are my own.

I know very darn little about hex editing but I thought the changes from just the small edit was drastic when compared.

I don't have Reditor with 2K12 licenses, so I used my 2K11 saves. And the collar type only changed 1 byte. When I get home, I will update the rosters with the changes.

More info on My Player player ID, it does change like last year. Oh well, not a big deal except tutorials can't just put input #***** for MP\MC as it is or can be different each time as has been discussed. I was able to remove a clone from the CMG without problems so far, it requires a bit more testing still but it seems like the rotations do not need to be fixed in order for it to work.

Not possible yet. And mind you, don't forget not to replace any players inserted by the draft class when copy-pasting entries in the Players tab.

Batch import/export like REDitor is not supported, yet, and nor is cloning. Stuff like cloning requires way more knowledge about the roster's structure than I have, so you're better off waiting for REDitor for stuff like this.

Re: [Tool] Roster Editor v0.7

v0.7 released!
Shoe Brand and Shoe Model are now editable.

Didn't find Shoe Brand Lock parameter yet, so you won't be able to unlock the in-game assignment via 2K Shoes, but you will be able to change a player's shoes via the editor, for now. If you're unsure of the shoe model ID for a particular shoe, just assign it to a different player that's unlocked (or locked to that brand), and it should show up in Roster Editor.

I'll try to research appearance stuff later on.

Nice! Are the values for the Shoe Brand the same as REditors?

Shoe Brand is named, so you actually pick the actual Shoe Brand by name, no need to remember the values. Just like I've implemented Signature Skills, and just like REDitor's MyFriend Interface works.

Remember, you should be donating. ;)
