My Career Athletic Center, tips please!

Wed Oct 17, 2012 3:33 am

Hey Guys!

I'm totally new to this game. I decided to create an athletic center and got drafted by the Mavs. My buddies keep telling me how they score 60-70 point per game. My highest was 19 in a single game! I understand I suck at it since I'm so new to this.

I have maxed out my vertical, put many points in inside scoring, post offense, defensive rebounds, and dunks/layups, also some shoot in traffic. Is this ok?

What's the difference between putting statpoints in dunk/layup/shoot in traffic? I mean, to me it sounds like pretty much the same thing.

Also I understand that rebounds is so much about timing. Starting to get a pretty good hang on it. But playing low post defense on my guy can sometimes be a disaster!

On offense i do lots of pick and rolls. But I also try to post up alot, push my defender against the basket then fake one way, and go up the other. But well, it isn't working out they way I would like it to.

All tips are appreciated! : )

well for a newbie this is a very tough choice.. youre taking the hard way to glory.

check if those guys arent a 90+ overall SG\SFs .

dunk, layup , shooting attributes are to upgrade your individual mechanics and develop new ways to make shots, new dunk packages, and better fg%..

the shoot in traffic attribute is very important if u want to hit shots while defenders are in your face trying to block your shots.

Also I understand that rebounds is so much about timing. Starting to get a pretty good hang on it. But playing low post defense on my guy can sometimes be a disaster!

PRACTICE,PRACTICE,PRACTICE!

you have some good offensive instincts, your very good minded.. thats what a center should do.. you want those guys to get rebounds and putbacks mostly..
last thing, try to lower your difficulty setting.

good luck and welcome to the forums

You have to understand that there is a possibility that your buddies are talking crap, you know.

Because those aren't realistic basketball game scores, so most probably even if they do it, they adjust the hell out of the sliders and gameplay options to make it easy to do it. 19 points is a realistically good output. Shaq in his best days scored like 28-29 a game.
