Yea, I tried with others - same problem.. Before everything alright, after - exel problem, site don't understand them. After game - player stats saves not like before editing. I repeat that I'm using 05.

Yeah, that database is corrupted. If you're not going to use this editor, it's much safer to use DB Commander than MS Excel.

i want to ask about the weight of the players; will it affect the way he'll run on the court? or still his speed will dictate how fast will he be... like weighing 280lbs will it slow him down?

This question is off topic but to answer your question.I think the answer is no.You should just try it and find out for yourself.Especially with simple stuff like what you just asked.

Being able to add players to the Rookie and Sophomore teams will definitely help out too. If players could be added to teams with the FIBA teamcodes too then that'd also be useful, though I guess we can always use import/export for that.

Mr Andrew always use import/export how??? because I had make a new fiba team and I can not get any players in there!!!
nice tool Mr Ayiep!!

I'll have to leave any support questions for Ayiep, as it's his program. I'd recommend reading the included help file, though.

Has it been looked into on Windows 7 for portraits to show up in editor? Also, maybe add a cf viewing in the future?

I can get some portraits to occasionally show up in the editor, but only briefly.

1st I would like to say thank you to Ayiep for making such a great tool. :applaud:

Now I will go into noob mode with my problem. When I try to open a database folder I get this message, "Not NBA Live database folder."

I have tried opening all of these folders:

DATABASE

- currentdb
- mpdata
- originaldb
- profiles
- workingdb

I also tried opening folders in my "Saved" folder and nothing opens.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm probably stuck on stupid doing something wrong so if someone could unstick me I would appreciate it. :)

** I haven't done much editing with NBA Live PC .. but I have done a lot with other games (roster editing with tools and hex editor, texture editing, etc) on console systems from NES - PSX. **

Oh yeah.. nice website here too. Good job!

Welcome to the Forum!

You shouldn't be trying to open anything in the database folders, the database files you need to work with are located in individual folders under the saves folder.

Ayiep, I got your editor to work on my Mac natively :). The only problem is is when I try to edit an existing player, I get an error:

Any ideas?

Thank you for the welcome and quick response. I've tried opening the files in the saves folder the same way and it still doesn't work. This is what I did ..

1. Open Editor
2. File - Open - NBA Live 08
3. Go to Saved folder for NBA Live 08
4. Click on one of my saved files (it doesn't open)
5. Press Ok

Should the saved roster file actually open? That's probably the problem It won't open and show the dbf files inside the roster file..

*UPDATE*

Sorry it was me being stupid. I had my folders listed as hidden.. that's why they didn't open. Now it works. Thanks!
