Anyone have a spreadsheet with full player ratings?

Sat Sep 01, 2012 1:56 am

I'm looking for a spreadsheet that has as many 2K12 players with their full ratings (everything from the Skills category in REDitor, for example) and their in-game overall rating. I'm going to use Eureqa on it to determine the formula that calculates the Overall rating in the game.

And I know, "why not build it yourself?". Well I'm not at my PC right now due to exams. Wanna help?

Maybe this will help. viewtopic.php?f=143&t=82314

Aren't these ratings calculated based on the actual real stats? I'm looking for the ratings 2K gave to the players, not recommended ratings based on real stats.

I believe you are correct. I've never seen the list you want. Hopefully there is one.

Should be piss-easy to make. You just open 2K's roster in REditor, copy Last_Name, First_Name, Position and all the columns of the Skills category into a spreadsheet, and then manually create a column in which you copy the overall rating of each player from in-game.

I just don't have 2K12 installed on this PC to try it out, and I don't have that much time available.

Thanks for that sevin, but I've already done that much, I know how to get the information out of REditor and into a spreadsheet. What I wanted someone to do is grab the overall ratings from inside NBA 2K12 and add them to a separate column in that spreadsheet, as I don't have the game with me to do so.

Quick question. Do Abilities affect Overall? Can someone test this for me?

Abilities do factor into overall in some way. I tested this out with Rondo (85 OVR) and once I maxed out all of his shooting abilities, he jumped up to 87.

'kay. This pretty much screws up any chance I have of decoding the Overall function, since the variables are nearly 50. I would need a computing farm to be able to pull this off without burning my CPU out. Pfff.

What spreadsheet formula do I use to multiply two numbers and add another? I have created a spreadsheet and I can't figure out what formula to use. I need to multiply the cost of a cd by the number of cds and then I have to add the shipping charge. So it will be C3 * D3 + E3. What formula do I use? Thanks!

Although this is completely off-topic, the formula you typed seems fine, clarisha.
