Menu Freezing and Unfreezing Problem

This problem just started happening to me today after being able to run the game fine for the longest time. When I start up NBA 2K12 the game freezes for a few seconds and then goes normally for a few seconds and it just goes on and off like that whenever I'm in any sort of menu. I can play games no problem at max settings. It's just the menus that are giving me problems and it didn't used to happen.

Any help?

Download the latest Online Data, and if that doesn't help, try disconnecting your Ethernet cable before the game, see if that fixes it.
